The game looks great! Not sure if you're looking for criticism right now, but the only thing I can think of at the moment would be that the bullets seem like they hit too low when point shooing. With the angle the character's holding the gun at, I feel like they should be hitting up like 10 degrees from where they currently are. Seriously, though, the game looks awesome and I can't wait to check it out
Hey guys, really like what I'm seeing. I was in Iraq in '10, I know this is a very early release and a lot will change. Are you looking into adjusting the tracer fire effects? Like Moi said as well I should think tapping R reloads while holding R checks the mag. This is a bit morbid but I also think the immersion would benefit if when you shot someone next to a wall, there was a blood splat there where you hit them. Like the Half Life/Left 4 Dead engine.
@@knee_eater if they were shooting a grenade launcher maybe, however, not a rifle. If you try to line up your weapon like we see here, the iron sight lining upwẇith the upper part of the hp sight, you will not hit the target you are aiming for as you will find that your barrel is actually pointing somewhere around 10° to 25° (guesstimate, however, the longer the barrel the worse you are off) above the point you are aiming at as the hp sight is MUCH higher than the iron sight/end of the barrel, thus requiring a steep angle for you to see the weapon like it is pictured here. Now, asa I've typed this I just wanted to double check if I may be crazy, it is possible, but I doubt it. If you look at the behaviour of the gun when not looking through the hp sight but above it, you can compare the before ADS and while ADS view of the gun. It just makes no sense to me? The iron sight, unlike on some M16A4s is much lower than the ACOG. Thus proving my point, I believe. (Example would be at 1:50, going frame by frame looking at the animation or 2:00 looking at the angle of the flashlight compared to the point the iron sight is at - the point where the bullet would go) While in ADS you can see the gun going upwards, the flashlight cone does not seem to quite match anymore, the iron sight still is somehow at a 90° angle to the camera while you should look ontop of it? I don't know, it just does not vibe with me, maybe I am stupid, then please tell me how that makes sense lmao.

@11:11, tossing the frag. That is exactly why as Marines, the number 2 man in the stack is the one to step around the number 1 man holding the doorway to toss the frag then step back, so the lead man is always guns up on the doorway in case anyone comes running out of the room. In this case, you tossed a frag, and that caused the hodj-bob to jump the wall to clear out of the room and your gun wasn't up and ready.

Super stoked for this game. I don't think we have a single game like this. RoN is close but not military. I will say this game induced some anxiety on me. Been deployed 4 times. 3 times to ME and this is extremely accurate. All the garbage , colors, ambiance. Very well done devs. Some things I'd like fixed or added: -AI squad mates ( I know it apparently in the works) - Not being locked in animations ( vaulting, breaching etc) - more hasty actions. For instance opening a door. Should have options like RoN. -Buddy drag for care under fire. - A reload animation like gears of War. In other words ; a specific spot you hit And you get a perfect combat reload ( unless dropping mag). Other options be a tad slower or just really fucking up the reload. In combat this is legit. When adrenalin is pumping you sometimes don't do simple tasks so simply. Some people may not like that. I'd love it because it's very real.
It seems like it's what Insurgency:Sandstorm was supposed to be. So here are some questions; Do the AI hear you when you speak/walk/run? Are there "out of bounds" areas when moving to the Objectives? Really? I think especially when you get the dynamic lighting indoors with the flashlights this blows squad out of the water. But to each their own I suppose
Is the coop drop-in drop-out like Insurgency sandstorm or is the team locked in at the beginning? Also is there matchmaking, or better yet a server browser for the coop?
Only thing I can say negative is using your front sight above your acog or iron rear sight should affect your zero. Other than that, this is incredible. Especially the echo of local voice chat.
Looks amazing, it just really bugs me that the bullets don't go where the gun is pointing, that over the top POV of the rifles would mean your flight path is going to be much higher than your front sight after a few meters. Great stuff otherwise, I hope they implement destructible walls for the tactics that were used in fallujah but that would be a big ask
I was about to comment on that. I really really hope they change it, especially with how serious they're trying to go. That's such an immersion killer.
It doesn't look like you're really aiming the rifle upward to reference aim from above the optics, it looks like you're simply positioning to rifle lower in your shoulder to peer over and get a better line of sight. Yes at a distance your accuracy would suffer, but how it appears they the character actually manipulates the rifle, it be more horizontal inaccurate and not vertical.
It's a technique that works around having to use a 4x magnified scope in close quarters. Video games can't replicate binocular vision well enough to give you the actual experience of using the marine ACOG scope in CQB, which is not ideal but is much better IRL than in a 2D video game, because while your aiming eye is looking through the scope, your other eye is offering an unmagnified view with peripheral vision. If you're far enough away that looking over the scope won't be accurate, you could just look through the scope again. If you're in the middle of a room, looking *over* the scope will work good enough.
If you aim this way, the barrel is tilted slightly up if you're trying to match the front sight. You now have 2 height over bores. One through the sight and one on top of it. It's natural for it to change so the shooter must adjust to it
Sharing all POVs was awesome to see! Thanks, MD.

This looks basically like Zero Hour but in different 'climate' and without hostages (so far).
My question is why nobody looks using the scope it always iron . Just curious ik ill fine out 22nd
Especially the echo of local voice chat.
it does. close range doesnt change much but at range u have to compensate
Can't wait for release
Looks amazing, it just really bugs me that the bullets don't go where the gun is pointing, that over the top POV of the rifles would mean your flight path is going to be much higher than your front sight after a few meters. Great stuff otherwise, I hope they implement destructible walls for the tactics that were used in fallujah but that would be a big ask
I was about to comment on that. I really really hope they change it, especially with how serious they're trying to go. That's such an immersion killer.
couldn't you just like.. not use it?
It's natural for it to change so the shooter must adjust to it
I feel like explosion sounds arent loud enough, also tracers seem comically slow, in any case i cant wait for it to drop on the store
Does it have perks and killstreaks?
Are you able to play as insurgents?
Completed it.
This game is incredible
