Wonderfully done! am getting the 4 channel, and found your way of explaining things to be easy to understand. I work with AV now but prefer Data which I have done for a few years. Regardless, I am always skeptical of anything regarding electrical current because I am not an electrician, but know I care about the details enough to fully know things. when you said that "you can split these wires" - I knew it but people without familiarity with electronics may not. And I would rather not have a short. :D Thanks again homie! I feel more confident in being able to do it myself.

Thank you. But you skipped an important part, as described in the user manual for the kit: Testing the polarity of the fuse socket, which you can also do with the included tester. It is important, for the best fuse protection; the included fuses are only 5 amp, to protect the electronics. If you plug it back in the wrong way, it will still work, but the power will be going through both fuses... so 15 amps total. An overload could then damage the camera. Please read the instructions carefully before installing this kit!

6:33 just a little tidbit for others. Try not to install the ground with the nut that is paired with a plastic surface. Look for metal on metal.

Thanks for the video. This was the only one ROVE tap video I could find that was thorough enough to include how to insert it and which Amp fuse (10+) to choose. QUESTION: I can choose a 20A fuse if it makes more sense for the type of accessory like the cig lighter right? I think the Jeep JL may have better (less vital) accessory options on the 20am fuses rather than the 15amps which is why this kit may seem better than the default 15A taps hardwire kit that came included with my dash cam. Thinking of upgrading to this kit for the 20A fuse compatibility.

Hi,I want to know if you have a video of how to wiring reversed camera cable
I installed this on my Honda Civic
At first I connected both red and yellow cable to the fuse box. The dash cam started to turn off when I start the car. Turns on instantly. So , I decided to take off the ACC (yellow) came out and leave the red one only. But it seems like it’s doing the same problem. Even when I turn off the car it will shut off and on instantly.
Now I reconnected the yellow cable. It’s stays on, when I turn my car on. It shuts off and I have to manually turn it on every time I start my car

Yes. Red wire is for constant power supply.
Hi I enjoy your reviews and got Rove hardware kit with a question and would like to get some help. I got at least 3 spare 10 amps can I use them for "ACC" ? This Hyundai Sana Fe 2024 model and wish I can upload my fuse box photo. none of the 10 amps says ACC label - any suggestion would appreciate your help.
Try your accessory light switch. Test to make sure it has no power when the engine is off. Make sure you use a fuse tap.
Definitely the best video tutorial for the fuse box section. Aren't those fuses directional though? Not sure which way to plug into the adaptor.

How many hours of parking time for the dash cam do you get and what setting are you using?
It all depends on the size of the sd card you use. I am on the highest resolution and I get a couple of days
I have a Ford Edge SEL I am having trouble finding the constant and the accessory please help
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Ford Edge. Use a volt meter and test any fuse to find a constant. A fuse that is live when the ignition is off and on. Turn on the engine and find a fuse that is live ONLY when the ignition is on. That will be your ACC.
