Please explain what is the purpose of the n"supercapacitor"?
To setup and/or operate this camera must be always connected to external power, why we need supercapacitor?

To provide enough power to properly save the last video file in the event all power is removed from the camera. It's designed to withstand extreme temperatures and have a longer life expectancy than standard lithium-ion cells.
