Hi Lizzi, I live in Italy, near Milan, and our region is the most affected by the coronavirus in all Italy. The situation is quite severe, I'm on my 4th week of work from home (as much as possible since I'm a psychotherapist) and 2nd week of total lockdown. Honestly I'm quite lucky living in the countryside, so I've lot of space to stay outside or go for a walk without the risk of bumping into someone. The situation in the city is really bad, and the hospitals, especially up north, are almost on meltdown. We are a couple of weeks ahead all the other European countries (and US too) so please take our advice: STAY HOME, try as much to isolate yourself, go out just for food shopping and try to do it as little as possible, maybe once a week if is possibile. Try to stock up with food so you don't have to go out every day, but at the same time is not necessary to buy like crazy, because food will always be guarantee. Other than that WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, and IT WILL BE FINE, as we say in Italy, ANDRA' TUTTO BENE. Just try to keep a positive mind, eat healthy and workout/meditate/breath/read books/listen to music as much as possibile to keep your body and your mind occupied on something. Let's try to love each other a little more, and everything will be fine. Ps: I’d like to say, since you mentioned your counselor doing sessions on skype, that If you have Italian followers, especially living in the Uk far from home, that I’m more than happy to offer my support if needed.
I'm based in Paris. We've gone on lockdown this week, but I've been home since last Thursday because had a sore throat (tonsillitis). It's a very isolating experience. 😕
Monday was semi lockdown, today lockdown for 90%.. cleaners still may come but you need to be in another room as the cleaner, restaurants, schools, etc.. closed for 3w, Lizzy do both little bit of talk about world and some light sruff like fashion etc.. #inthistogether #stayhome Best to everyone, lots of love From Belgium
Hi, I live in Wuhan, China. Yes, the centre and the start of this ordeal. I worked as a volunteer for logistic facilities during the first month of lockdown to deliver medical supplies from worldwide to doctors and nurses. Currently, I think the way you are working gradually towards a closedown is a more sensible way than the sudden complete shutdown happened in Wuhan. I witnessed a lot of people died, not from the virus, but from the chaos because of the shutdown, like people who have other diseases but couldn't get to doctors because hospitals were occupied by panic crowds. Doctors were infected because they couldn't have protective gears to them because the the closedown of transportation/logistic services. Social isolation is the best option because every pandemic lasts for more than 1 year and our medical system needs time to increase to a capacity we've never needed but will in a few weeks, before we have a vaccine. I'm dealing with a ptsd so I might not be the best person to give advice regarding psychotherapy. But I want to let you know that, today, March19, new added case in Wuhan and the whole Hubei Province came down to zero. A bakery and a coffee shop reopened in my community. I ordered BurgerKing for lunch! ^_^
Think it’s ok to still vlog about clothes, old or new: it’s a distraction. I’ve watched so much you tube in the last few months - my father passed away in January from a sudden heart attack (I was there when he passed), then six days later my best friend deserted me when I needed him most, And a few health problems to bother me.... and this virus comes along - I’m high risk so I’m starting to worry a lot, what I’ve realised is my mental health is important too, And I’ve got to say vlogs and just everyday content has helped so much, so please vlog about what you normally do. Be yourself and I hope everyone takes care of themselves.
Cecilia Majzoub thanks so much, I’m determined once this virus worry is over to improve my life, if we can all get over this then we have to start appreciating things more
I have been exposed- my next-door neighbor tested positive for coronavirus- and am stuck indoors in New York for 14 days. More content is VERY welcome, fashion or whatever. I think a piece on how you put together outfits from your existing wardrobe would be interesting- sharing the thought process as you pick out and discard or use items to create a particular look. Eventually we will emerge from our lairs, and we will want to look good!
Me too, please do fashion vids if you can because I'm up to a very boring quarantine here. Hoping for some sun to show on the balcony. That's the most exciting thing to hope for right now )))) Anyways, will be tested on Monday but we have over 10.000 infected people here in Spain so will have to stay at home even if I do not have it :)
Hi Lizzy. Thank you so much for this. It's so nice to see that we're not alone in this. I am from Iran and we have been affected by corona virus so badly. All the hospitals are full. It's been a hard year for Iran. but it's nice to see that people are being more compassionate towards each other. Trying to think of the elderly and helping each other. The Iranian new year is in two days and it's so sad to see the streets empty. This should be the happiest time of the year. And it's so sad to see how people are being affected by this. Economically and health wise. But this is what a lot of people around the world are going trough now and in a way it makes us realise that we're so much more connected to each other than we think. Stay safe. And thank you so much for this. I have been quarantined for almost three weeks now and this made my day.
How about re-discovery what we all ready have in our closet. Making outfits for summer. 🤷🏻♀️ hopefully it will all be over by the summer. Love 💕 your content btw, hope you and your mom stay safe and healthy.
First, I want to say I love the way you spoke on this! Not panic-inducing at all. As for coronavirus, I'm in NYC and nearly everything non-essential is shut down. Things started turning this way early last week and the case counts are rapidly escalating with talks of a shelter-in-place order. While I haven't been tested for the virus, I'm nearly positive I have it. As someone that lives a pretty isolated life already (working from home and love my neighborhood so I really only go places I can walk) I was in denial when I started developing symptoms late last week. I was already staying inside, but the numbers reported in NY were still in the hundreds, and compared to the entire population, I couldn't believe that I could have it. But truthfully, getting a test in NY is difficult, especially as a young person and there's so much mixed messaging as to whether we should get a test or not. And days later the numbers are much higher, and realistically there must be so many people who haven't been tested. I had a high fever over the weekend with terrible pains and aches, quite comparable to the kind of pain you get in your side when you're running and out of shape. Also a bit dizzy, zero appetite and developed a deep dry cough. Tylenol is the only thing I've been taking and it's helped me manage. I'm young and relatively healthy and haven't had any breathing problems and today, the 6th day since my first symptom, my fever is gone and I'm feeling a lot better. Obviously still staying inside though! When I started to feel sick I had to get off social and the news for a while because it was causing too much stress. Not good for our system! I hope we can all be kind to each other, including to our friends that may be sick :) It's really no one's fault. I think most people are trying to do what is right.
Hi Lizzy, I've been a viewer for ages and I'm really glad you're talking about coronavirus and following the measures your country recommends. I'm from Madrid, Spain, and we've been under complete lockdown for around a week. I'm going to tell how it's been in case anyone is curious to know what might happen to them/their country sooner or later. We've known about the danger of Coronavirus since early February i'd say but things started getting real just after Milan Fashion Week. The cases were appearing everywhere and you could feel the tension in the air. Some businesses made their workers work from home, other's started trial periods to see if it would be possible and others did nothing about it yet. At the beggining of March the cases were multiplying rapidly and people were getting ill by the minute. 30 people at a funeral, around 50 at an elderly residence... Every day more and more cases just appeared from nowhere. From one day to another came the lockdown. Only supermarkets, pharmacies and places to buy cigarettes (yep, this is not a joke) are open. You can't leave your house unless you need to buy food, medicine, walk your dog or go to work. No exercising, no running at the park, no walks... The police roams around the city and they will fine you If you're out without a good reason. A friend of mine was stopped yesterday by the secret police and they told her she can only walk her dog on the same street she lives in. Two people can't walk a dog, only one. Thankfully the government has enabled a safe space for the homeless because they aren't allowed to roam the streets either, obviously. In case you don't know, Spain has one one the best healthcare systems in the world. It's free and it's fucking amazing. Still, hospitals are crowded, there's a huge lack of doctors and nurses, a lack of equipment, everything... Surgeries are being cancelled, chemotherapy sessions are being postponed because of it... Please, if you're reading this, TAKE CORONAVIRUS SERIOUSLY. Only two weeks ago I saw a friend of mine laugh about it and say "its just the flu". This same person's dad is now infected and in a very very critical condition. She isn't allowed to see him, she's only spoken to him once in 4 days and they are sitting by the phone waiting for the hospital to call (only once a day) to have any news about him. Please, take it seriously. It's way worse than the flu, young and healthy people are dying from it. Doctors and nurses are risking their lives for you, don't be selfish about it and stay inside for them. Right now in Spain there's around 17,000 infected and 630 decesed. Italy has reached 3000. Please, act before it's too late.
100 % agree with everything you said. We need to take this seriously. Here in France, we've been on lockdown since Tuesday with the same restrictions as you guys. I feel like our government didn't take this seriously from the beginning. We've seen China, Italy, Spain,..being hit really hard by this virus and yet, we've only been in lockdown since two days ago. We've held elections on Sunday, it wasn't cancelled. We were told to go vote, that everything should be fine. And now, 4 days later, you get fined 135 euros if you're outside without a good reason... That makes me so mad, as well as scared. Like in other countries, hospitals are overwelmed, we're lacking equipment, especially masks for medical staff, the police officers out in the streets... This really is a serious situation. I hope you're doing okay, stay safe :)
I can't describe to you how much your videos bring joy to me, they calm me down so much and they are actually the only videos I watch currently. Yeah I just wanted to say that to you, I think you are great! And the best style ofcourse!
Hi Lizzy so impressed you are using your channel as an outlet for people to support each other through this tough time. The counselling sessions and assistance with anxiety are a great idea. I’m in Australia and we haven’t been overly effected yet but the uncertainty about the future is the hardest part as I’m sure you’ll agree.
Hi Lizzy, I’ve felt totally overwhelmed too, crying, shaking, loss of appetite. It’s a very scary time. I don’t understand these people not taking it seriously, I’m terrified! Your videos are always so balanced and real and as someone who also lives alone, I really appreciate that. Stay safe xx
You’re my lifesaver at the moment. Would love to see What I eat in a day/ planner organisation/ cheaper outfit planning/ makeup and hair routine. Love you looots!!!
I LOVE THIS! Lovely way to feel less lonely in the quarantine. I think it's so interesting and important to take part of how different countries deal with restrictions to get a deeper understanding of this whole situation and love getting visualized through vlogs not only reading about it. I'm in Sweden and we aren't under lock down either, but I'm in quarantine and can't go to my work since having symtoms this weekend. I won't get tested because Sweden only test high risk groups and health care workers at this point.. I'm feeling better now but the uncertainty is the worst, would love to know if it was covid-19 or just a cold with fever. But yeah I'm young and healthy and trying to think of this as a good lesson to learn how to deal with this damn uncertainty. And I also wanted to say I'm not bothered by the fashion content, rather think it's a nice way to keep your thoughts on something else and let some things be normal at this time. Wishing you and everyone else good health, hugs from Sweden!
Looking forward to reading those articles that your counselor shares with you! Thank you so much! Enjoying so much your thoughts during this time. You are always like a friend to spend some time with every time you upload.
Lizzy, I really appreciated your pragmatism in this tough time. I feel like that you hit a good balance between concern and trying maintain a sense of normalcy. I started working from home today, which is really weird after having an hour long commute, but it was SNOWING when I woke up, so no walks for me today...
Hi Lizzie . I mentioned personally to you before that I think I’ve had this virus in January before it became generally known as Covid-19. Obviously that’s my view and I was never tested, but I had all the symptoms and was ill in bed for 2 weeks with another two recovering. I am 62, I have mild asthma and high BP and I got through it. I think it’s going to get worse economically but hope fatalities level out sooner rather than later. I work for one of the emergency services and I feel we’ll all pull together and emerge the other side a lot wiser!
Sarah Gill Hi. Glad I saw this as I too am convinced I had it. In early February I suddenly came down with a really sore throat and headache on the Sunday evening. Monday sore throat still and generally lethargy. After that the cough started, never had a cough like it. It was constant and I couldn’t sleep at night from it. Within a week it just vanished 🤷♀️
Hey Lizzy thanks for continued uploaded. I personally still love the fashion content. Gives inspiration for shopping your own wardrobe, and getting ready for better times. I work in private healthcare and work is mad right now. So anything to escape my 9 - 5 right now is a blessing. 😘 🇬🇧
I tested the work at home system yesterday and it made me realise how much I hate my job. Working at home, it broke down the very basics of what I actually do and I don't like it and it isn't taking me any further career wise. My office will close this Friday and the prospect of indefinitely working at home with just my work and no social element for maybe months has winded me a bit. If there is anything positive for me to take, social isolation is going to make me seriously evaluate what I need to do next. I realise I'm lucky I can work at home so financially not much worry for me, just everything else to worry about.
Rebecca our office have been working from home for the last week. If you have a good relationship with your colleagues then try and call them, it’s helped me, and us as a team! Otherwise, now is a good time to apply for jobs as you can take phone calls in private etc 🙂 good luck!!
Hey Lizzy :) thank you for continuing to make great content and keeping it real. I love still seeing your fashion content inspiring us all to still put together nice pieces even if it’s just for wearing at home and on Zoom! Xx
Thank you for your video Lizzy! If you could share what you pack when you travel to your mum’s place and books you read. Love your content! Stay safe 🧡
This terrible situation is definitely giving us the chance to sit back and be reminded of the wonderful everyday gifts of normal life such as being able to socialize, hug each other, and go visit family to name a few aspects. There is something crazy about this in that we are all together in this and we will get through this🤞🏼 Thank you Lizzy for providing this platform for us all to process together❤️
Keep going with your vlogs, they are very much appreciated. I couldn’t agree with you more . We all need to do the right thing and be kind and look out for everyone .
I really appreciated this vlog, Lizzy! I'd like to echo that I too would be more than happy to hear about clothes new and old right now! As per, the Australian government is dragging its feet in a crisis so having anything to distract from their incompetencies right now is very welcome. Also if/when Australia goes into lockdown your continued vlogs will be a good insight into the global and simultaneously grassroots effects of this pandemic. I think this will be a point in history that we'll all look back on with fervent memories.
I feel exactly like you. I petrified for other people, the knock-on effect of this. I'm struggling with the anxiety of it all. So thank you for being real and raw with us about your emotions. Praying for everyone. PLEASE, EVERYONE STAY HOME, stay well x
You’re so considerate and sweet ! I really hope you start to feel less anxious and overwhelmed despite how scary the world is right now! Take care and pls keep showing any and all the content you want !
Hey Lizzie. I do have currently the virus. I have not personally been tested but my family has and I have the same symptoms. We are all doing well. I was shocked of how contagious it was. As soon as I heard that a member of my family had been diagnosed, I stayed home, even if I had no symptoms myself. We were not really expecting this because none of us had fever. We mainly had muscles pain, cough (not that much though). I also have lost the sense of taste, but it should be back in a few days. Anyway, I hope this can reassure people, so that thex know that it's not always horrible. But also that it is important to stay home, because I would not have imagined (if my family had not been tested) that I was ill with the coronavirus. Also i've been in quarantine for a week now and at first I was very anxious and depressed at the idea that it could last so long, but now I just take it day by day and can't wait to feel better so I can actually read, do yoga (and also study for university haha). Anyway, stay strong people, and stay home ! It's so important right now, so that this thing can go away faster ! (And sorry, english is not my native language)
I really love how thoughtful you are being at this time with everything that's going on. I think showing clothes and products is fine, but I would be really upset to see that content be the main focus of a video right now. Hard to think about buying a new pair of shoes for me when so many people are struggling financially, mentally, and physically. I am so glad you are speaking honestly and openly about the virus, and love your content.
I would love snips of fashion content here and there.. Like you said, none of us want to be faring about in ignorance but it’s nice to be able to get my mind off of things we simply cannot control. All we can do is our part - thank you lizzy for continuing to make content and vlogs!
I found this chatty video so soothing and like a conversation with a friend, thank you Lizzy :-) I dont mind what you share, just the space to chat. I'm navigating a breakup in isolation and I know we can get through this together :-) It'll all be alright in the end and if it's not alright its not the end
Hey Lizzy! I live in NYC. All our bars and restaurants are closed except for takeout and we get texts from the city to stay inside, etc. I’m lucky enough to have a job that allows me to WFH, and I’ve been shopping online at smaller retailers and trying to make smarter, more local decisions. This may just be me, but I actually really enjoy seeing the fashion content, especially right now. I can’t get away from corona and talking about it, so it’s nice to see some pretty clothes. I’m glad that you’re promoting social distancing, as it’s super important to getting this thing to go away. Great blog as always :) thanks for your positivity!
Lots of love from LA... your vlogs are keeping me sane during this isolation. My husband and daughter are out of school/work for at least two weeks. Love the new bits please keep sharing.
From Spain and under a lock down...my recommendation is "stay at home, please"!! It's the only way to stop it. Watching what''s happening in Italy and Spain, the rest of the world should take care of their people as soon as possible and ifcthey don't do it, lets do it by ourselves. Isolation is the way!!!! Stay safe!!
hey Lizzy, here from China. I've been staying in home for about two months now and very happy to see the situation here in China has improved. I've been watching your channel for almost 5 years now, and believe me, I know what you're going through right now. My suggestion is, stay away from social media as far as possible because rumor can lead to serious anxiety. But do watch the news daily and buy only what you need for 3 or 4 days at once. Most importantly, do some exercises and keep healthy, you and your family. ❤️
Thanks for putting up content on this very hard time for all of us! It helps a lot to keep our minds off it all. I vote yay for other type of content like fashion etc just to lift the mood up x take care
Hi Lizzie, I would really love it if you could continue to talk about fashion, style etc. You strike the perfect balance between attempting to maintain a degree of normality while still acknowledging the current state of the world and the effect this is having on everybody. Your videos are a little ray of sunshine, and I know I as well as a hell of a lot of other people would really appreciate it if you just keep doing you ❤️
Really appreciate your sensitivity, authenticity and openess about how you feel, your concerns and also a glimpse into your daily life. Personally, I feel you strike a good balance and I've been watching you for a long time so I'd say keep doing what you are doing. There's no perfect blue print for how to be right now, apart from being kind to ourselves, loved ones and our communities so we can all get through this. I too worry about small businesses, one man bands, cleaners and those who live month to month. It's going to hit the poorest far worse than me. It's good to know I'm not alone in feeling how I'm feeling. Thanks Lizzie. Enjoy Leeds as much as you can do in the circumstances.
Thank you for the vlog again Lizzy. I think it is good to talk about this, as it is our daily life for the time being, especially since these are vlogs. I think you should also do what makes you feel good with your content now, and what you feel comfortable filming, as we are all trying to do what makes us feel calmer and in a better headspace at home. I also want to reinforce your message to STAY HOME guys, it is of paramount importance. In regard to the "online shopping theme" I placed an order the day before the lockdown without thinking about this and I have actually felt guilty now that I'm waiting for my parcel - but I think you should anyway share if you think an item is good if you're wearing it (it should be up to us to just note if if we want to purchase it later on). Hugs from Italy!
Hi Lizzy, pls keep vlogging, like many I'm having to wfh for 3 months as I'm in a high risk group, so your videos are some entertainment/comfort. Enjoy yorkshire! (My homeland too). Good luck everyone out there! Stay safe and well x
I am so thankful to you at this time (but also generally). It is really jarring to have other influencers not really discuss what is happening. I am finding comfort in the acknowledgment and pursuit of resilience within the context than we are in, rather than trying to block it out. Thank you. I hope that both you and your mother remain healthy, and I look forward to all future blogs.
So glad this video was a balance of positives and being honest about bad moments. I think living day to day is essential to not panicking and losing perspective. I am also growing lots of houseplants/sunflowers indoors! I'd love to hear online reading recommendations / e book recommendations (a lot of libraries are now shut for me) / podcast favourites, any distractions welcome :) much support 🌻
Please continue your fashion styling content, Lizzie. During this uncertain & self isolated time I’ve set myself the challenge of working my wardrobe differently each day and I’m enjoying the new combinations I’m putting together. Keeping a daily ritual for yourself each morning is also a healing type of personal meditation, even when not going out - the ritual really lifts your mood and I’m sure the whole channel community would like to see the daily outfits you put together with your existing wardrobe - pieces don’t always need to be new & a well loved part of a personal collection is even more interesting in my opinion. Wishing you and your mum good health during this worrying time. Love, Axx
Really enjoyed this. The perfect balance of taking my mind off of this while also acknowledging it. I'd like more of the same please - still make purchases but maybe less than usual - mainly to help the delivery drivers, warehouse packers, etc. I weirdly get some solace out of watching people go through the same thing at the same time as I am - makes the world feel less lonely, so thank you.
That's so real when you talking about your feeling about the coronavirus as a westerner. I am Chinese living in China, not in the core breakout area, so at the first time I'm also worried about my personal future plans like working, vacation etc. BUT after nearly 50 days self isolation, during this period, I was initially panic then got used to the life at home, I could say, the strict checking process while doing grocery shopping and sufficient supplements make me feel safer. NOW, the situation is getting better, and the commercials are gradually back as normal in China. So, from my personal view, being mentally healthy and paying attention on the self cleaning and protection do help a lot! Hope the world getting better. 🙏
Sending love from USA...thank you Lizzy for uploading. I hope you continue to do so. It helps keep my over active mind calmer so thank you. I hear so many people here in the USA not taking this seriously. It is very frustrating for me to hear this a lot because this virus has spread to so many countries, so fast, and we really don’t know what can or will happen. I have been staying home and away from people . In my opinion, if it’s hard for us to self-quarantine, we need to do it for our loved ones. We all love someone,so let’s do it for them.❤️ Stay safe everyone. We will make it through this difficult time.
Hi Lizzy, I just want to say how much I appreciate how considerate you are regarding the virus! I really liked what you said about going about your day as if you got the virus, I agree that is the most adequate piece of advice there is in managing the outbreak - being more conscious about not only your own well-being but also the others. While I understand that there are many people out there that cannot afford to stay home during these difficult, seeing so many people still going out to socialize while the numbers keep growing just makes me really anxious! I am an international student studying in England and many of my friends have made the decision to head back to their home country before the potential lockdown, which has made me feel quite lonely really. I have decided to stay here because I didn't want to risk becoming a carrier and bringing it back home then passing it onto my family, who are mostly high-risk people. So thank you for posting this vlog, it is really comforting to know that we are all in this together. I am looking forward to more updates!
Such an inspiring and calming video! Here in Estonia it´s been like 10 days for now since we´ve been locked down. It isn´t that total and strict, we are still allowed to go out, although all the schools, shopping centers and even playgrouds are closed, and the police is wandering around looking for groups and so on. The situation has become so not funny, because more and more people are getting sick, but somehow many I-won´t-say-who refuse to take it seriously and go to picnics, visit friends and so on. This is not a holiday and not something which can be just ignored, and I´m so glad that here are people who talk about consciousness and respect without making jokes out of this virus
Hey thanks for having a decent conversation about this. Other bloggers just carry on like nothing’s happening. Still wonder everyday why your channel hasn’t exploded. It’s LEGIT the real deal . Thank you
I definitely think a little serious and a little fun is great in your vlogs. We are all living with the dark shadow of Coronavirus over us 24/7, so we need a little escape! Glad you are going to be with your Mum as I think family is such a comfort at a time like this.
Daisy Jones and the Six was my everything last year, that cream jumper is what I would love to buy and a thoughtful conversation about this situation is what we need. All and all this vlog was everything!
Hi Lizzy! I am so thankful for the content you put up, I am struggling with not starting to panic (because I know it won’t help) so all distractions are very welcome. So for me I would love to see your channel still incorporate fashion content, it’s nice to not think about what’s happening all the time. But I appreciate you telling us how you are feeling and what life is like in the uk as well. I am so glad to hear that you’re going to stay with your mum, so much better to not be alone right now! Well, not socializing, you know what I mean 💁♀️ Looking forward to content with Anne! Hugs from Sweden xx
Loved that Lizzy❤️,you actually cheered me up.Would love to see anything you fancy putting up.So glad to here your going home to your Mums, keep each other company and sane 🤪.Look forward to the next one, take care❣️
Hi Lizzy, I don't normally comment on your videos but this has been really, really nice to watch and just the sort of content I like to see from your channel. Thank you :)
Our schools are closed for (at least) the next five weeks and everything feels quite surreal. It's hard for me to find the balance between being productive and looking after myself as we have all of our classes online. My finals are set for May and I'm just worried they won't take place but I'm trying to make the best of it and I hope everyone stays safe & at home!!! 👼🏼 Thank you Lizzy for always talking about things that matter 💕
I live in Paris and I’ve put myself under a complete lock down for a week even if we are officially under look down for only 2 days (today was actually the first day you would get a 135€ fine if you’re out for no reason). I’m ok-ish but I’m struggling to not let the anxiety wave I fell throughout the day getting to the point of no coming back. I know from the other countries and especially Italy that the worst is yet to come, just like Italians we had/have a hard time understanding what is happening. I feel very anxious for the next few weeks, at a personal level (for my grandma, my parents and my friends) but also at a societal level (the political consequences, the financial consequences on people...). I’m not that much worried about businesses as our government is, as always, protecting them more than they are for workers. I’m worried for the cashier (they are planning on opening food shops 24/7 which is a shame imo),the delivery guy, the nurse, the people cleaning our streets... That’s why it would get very frustrating for me to see you receive any clothes during this time. I wouldn’t mind the fashion talks but not at the expense of somebody. In my real life we keep talking about other stuff but we can’t ignore this subject and even more we can’t forget about the consequences of our action. That’s something we should all learn in this tragedy, our actions have consequences that can be deadly for others. Hoping the best for all of us during this time. Thank you for this vlog, as much as I need the escape of light subjects I also need to feel connected in some sort and you not ignoring the subject is exactly that.
I think there is space for both distraction and concern. I understand that for myself and others, there are times when I want to be lost in someone else's youtube world for a few minutes because it can feel overwhelming. Having said that, I do appreciate the space to have sincere discussions and shared experience.
Lizzy I too am feeling so overwhelmed and worried. I’m such a sociable person who thrives on contact with my friends and being a single mum I also rely heavily on my family. I love your content and it’s like hearing from a friend in this difficult time. Thank you and look forward to seeing you again in your next blog. ❤️❤️❤️
I found this very comforting to watch. I've been very emotional too during this even whilst trying to be logical and practical about it. I think this mix of serious and fun topics is great. People can pick and choose what works for them. Lots of love xxx
Thank you, Lizzi, for the video, I feel like you should definitely keep talking about stuff you enjoyed or liked (clothes...), it keeps me thinking positive about the future that all will be ok. It's such a weird time in our lives now and I didn't even expect but my mental health is getting worst every day. I'm at the moment at my home country locked down, and I'm thinking about coming back to London because this is where I live and study but to be honest I'm so scared about what's happening there. It just gives me so much anxiety that all my stuff is in London but I do feel safer with my family and in Poland. Just so scared it will take so long until the situation will be under control, hopefully, all will be good very soon! So thank you for being this relaxing bit during the day! :D
Hi Lizzy, definitely looking forward to more vlogs, I don't follow many people who vlog but during this strange time, watching mundane things is really relaxing. Also please keep talking about fashion if you feel like it. I think acting like we all did before this started (except now staying away from each other) is SUPER helpful. If all we do is consume content with "corona virus" in it all day long, we're all going to go absolutely crazy. I'm really new to youtube myself, and still trying to figure out how I want to present what I want to say, but lately I kind of just want to vlog how life is at this moment. We WILL all get through this, and it will be really interesting to have a visual record of what we did and how we felt about it later.
Hey Lizzy! I dont think I've ever commented on your channel! I'm a big fan and absolutely love your content. It might just be me but I think including fashion and clothing in your vlogs always feels like a natural convo and chat about what you like or how you'd style items. I've NEVER felt like you're pushing us intoto purchase or consuming items mindlessly!!! I'd rather you kept your content as a way to documenting your life, showing us your style and not something you have to be overly conscious about, please don't turn vloging into a chore or as a way to provide us with comfort at your expense!! I absolutely loved the PSA in the video and I think that's a great way of being realistic about our current situation without getting too anxious or fear mongering about it. I also love how open you are about your mental health and anxiety. I hope you had a safe trip up to your mums!! Cant wait for you next vlog 😊 tc
Hi Lizzy! Writing as a Brit currently living in Vienna, Austria experiencing lockdown. I think some other followers have already left a raft of extremely useful advice below both on how to approach such a situation from a practical perspective and how to maintain the sort of mindset necessary for coping with a lack of at least physical contact with loved ones (we can still be social beings even whilst apart after all!). What I did want to mention though was that we have been actively encouraged by the government to go for walks either alone or with flatmates/significant others/whomever we might share living space with. Just wanted to highlight that in case lockdown extends to the UK -- solitary walks in more remote areas (hard to achieve in a big city, I know, but you get the idea) will not necessarily be immediately off the table. :) Also just wanted to say in this challenging time, when I'm sure we could all use a little pick-me-up, that your content has meant the world these past few years.
Lizzie, I love your approach and your generosity in sharing what is going on for you right now. I'm finding it super helpful, it's honest and authentic. I thought I might want to use UA-cam and a means of escape, but I've found that it's not helping to just ignore things. Thanks for sharing and promoting balanced conversation, it is very much appreciated!
Our ministy of health said its ok to go for a walk even on a lock down, but keep your distance from others 2m ... I live in Vienna, Austria... but be concious and take care of yourselves people, this is a serious thing...
Suggestions for future vlogs (only if you are up for it): scrap booking (I always wanted to know how you made your scrap books from that one time that you were into them), book reviews (they can be in more detail than usual), fashion content (just talking about clothes is fine too!), art stuff (talking about art that you like, or want to paint), stuff that is inspiring you. I think that keeping the content positive and productive can be uplifting for all of us in this stressful, scary time. That being said, I obviously do not mean that you need to continuously inspire, portray positivity just for the sake of it, or keep us interested with new content. I think that you deserve to also take a break whenever you need. Much love and stay safe.
I don't mind some fashion content as I really like your style. Kudos to you for being open and honest about this pandemic, I think we all need to take it seriously and support each other through it. I'm in Canada and myself and my family are currently working from home/staying home. Schools and public places shut down on Monday and we're all adjusting to this new hopefully short lived way of life. Stay safe!
Hey Lizzy, this week has been a mess. I was settling in Berlin in a new job, new life when all of a sudden I had to pack my stuff, and return home to Malta to be secured with my family. I had no time to make life decision, had no control on my life but fly back before all airports are closed. my life turned upside down, still cannot believe I am back home, locked in with my family, with no work no routine, no normality. please lets all take care of each other and as you said let us all follow rules, and stay home! stay safe dear xx
Great to have a platform to discuss it all .. thank you to all those in Italy keeping us posted as we really have no idea as yet .. I’m an estate agent and currently have to keep going ..I’m all honesty .. feel we should close !!!!! X
I don't normally comment on UA-cam videos but I just want to thank you for continuing to share content and creating a community amidst all of this anxiety and isolation. I have been following for several years now, and your blog, Instagram, and UA-cam channel have always provided me with some respite from whatever I am currently experiencing; I feel like I have grown up with you in a way. Because of this, being able to engage with your content in a time when I am honestly feeling very anxious makes things seem a little better. I think we are all learning to live with this new duality and uncertainty; humans by nature want decisive answers, but we are realizing that we must take life day by day. Meanwhile, I am trying to find gratitude in the little, everyday moments. I am a huge walker as well and have been trying to get out on walks every day when the weather is nice, as the fresh air always makes me feel a lot better. In terms of sharing fashion content, I don't think it is insensitive - as long as we are conscious of what is going on in the world, we can still unite in our common passions and interests. It gives us all a break from the constant cycle of scary news headlines! Wishing you all the best Lizzy, and thank you again! Please stay safe and well
I would love to see a mix of content. Please continue to share fashion, beauty, home decor and maybe things you are doing to keep busy and/or relax during quarantine. It’s great to have a discussion about what’s going on but also ways to distract ourselves is also extremely helpful. 💕
Love that you share your thought's, we just have to take one day at the time now. Btw, perfect time to do like a closet clean out / declutter now! Love watching those videos! Love your channel
Hi Lizzy! I’m not normally one for commenting, but I have to thank you for continuing with vlogging during these crazy times. Watching your vlog seems to be the only aspect of my routine which hasn’t been affected so far! I’m a Brit living in the Netherlands, I’ve been working from home for the last 2 weeks and the UK currently seems to be neck and neck in terms of regulations i.e. Schools/bars/gyms are now closed. I’m anxiously checking news headlines for the latest facts and figures, it’s becoming a very nasty habit but I think it’s human nature...Just like those selfish feelings. As much as I hate all this, I have now realised what a privileged life I have lived so far. While living abroad I’ve never been prevented from visiting my parents in Leeds. However, as borders are closing and my flight for my visit in April was cancelled it made me realise how precious time spent with family is. Travelling so freely and visiting family is something I’ll never take for granted again. I’d do anything to give them a big hug right now. It might not be nice to stay inside and have plans changed, but if ‘sacrificing’ my selfish moments helps at least one person, I will be happy. My thoughts are with anyone affected by this. This is serious but we can get through this together! Thanks again xxx
Thank you so much, Lizzy, I have been so touched by this. I am in the situation as a foreigner in London, that I will be leaving home back to Denmark. This for me is especially scary times as I have both families that are in the risk groups, family far away and also economically scary as my boyfriend is a Freelancer with no work in the foreseeable future. This experience is very humbling, being as privileged as we are, but still ever so scary. Thank you for creating a safe space where we can talk about everything from clothes to books, to the virus! Much love
Thank you so much for this vlog Lizzy. I’ve watched and rewatched so much UA-cam during this time. I’m living in Ireland and we aren’t on total lockdown as of yet but we are all just anticipating the situation changing pretty soon. If you feel strong enough please keep making content, be that blogposts, book videos, vlogs, Insta-lives with Lindsey (we would all love to see that, have a virtual girly chat like the podcast). Keep up the good work Lizzy we all love you for it x
Hi Lizzie, thanks for this great video, its lovely to hear you talk so openly about this crazy situation! I live in Amsterdam and normally work on a school as a social worker. But now im working from home and try to stay in touch with my students through video chats. I find myself staying away from watching the news all day but rather watch comforting content like this. And about the fashion: bring it on. Anything that inspires me to not walk around like a slob all day long ;)
I love Daisy Jones and the 6! Thank you for sharing your experience of these times. It helps me feel less alone ☺️ The situation in the US is still in the early stages and people aren't taking it very seriously. Even our government has been dragging it's feet, and messages are mixed. No one seems to be sure what to do or what's going on. The most responsible conversation I've seen happens online, and I've tried to take all the advice seriously and have been quarantining myself. They closed schools and bars and restaurants now, but so many people are still out doing things. I'm really lucky to be able to work from home, but have family members that are facing financial disaster. It's the kind of time where you want to come together as a community to help, but navigating that in the time of required isolation is challenging. I'm so grateful to hear your perspective and read everyone's experiences. Trying to remember to turn on some music and dance around as much as possible. To keep with my mediation and yoga practices. Sending everyone love!
Really appreciated this one Lizzy. You really handle everything with so much careful thought and class. People’s true colors come out during times like these and I can’t help but say how utterly tacky it is for others on this platform to not so much as to mention Covid-19. This is changing general life for everyone, including financial situations. Thank you for mentioning that you would continue to pay your house cleaner; what a thoughtful gesture for others. I would argue that everyone probably wants escapism right now, but perhaps we should do this in a way that does not involve excess consumerism. I think we should all be mindful of the risks we impose on others, particularly when it comes to our own selfish pursuits, and that includes all those involved in the supply chain. Small changes have ripple effects, and this seems like an extremely critical time to enact those and show our utmost humanity. Sending lots of love out. 💕
Hi Lizzi, I live in Portugal. The state of emergency has officially been declared today, but we've been in quarantine for almost a week now. What scares me the most about the whole situation is the uncertainty of it all like I'm constantly wondering when everything's going to go back to normal or if there will even be a "normal" after this. However, I read an article on man repeller today and it actually got me thinking that all the generations before ours lived, in some way or another, with uncertainty. Hopefully, we can learn that through this situation.
Hello Liz! I'm following you since summer now and I really got addicted to your blog and vlogs! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about the situation. I live in Milan and the situation got really serious here. We are locked in our houses since 10 days now. At the start it was like " it's going to be just for a few days, I'll have time to rest and do my stuff" but right now it's getting very frustrating and scary. A lot of people died in Italy today and we're just so isolated it's hard to realize it's actually happening. We have no idea when this is going to stop or be better because there are still many positive patients coming up every day. Thank you so much for sharing a lot of vlogs, it's taking us a lot of company. Please stay safe, don't go out. It's worse than one might think. Hoping to be better soon, I wish you the best for those coming weeks.
Hi Lizzy, I live in Spain and we have been on quarantine for 6 days now. The situation is going worse day by day, but your videos inspire and keep me entertained, which right now I truly value. I wanted to say that I don't think showing new stuff you got is insensitive or that it promotes impulsive buying, I can't buy anything right now due to my economical situation but seeing beautiful things, even tough I cannot have them, just inspires me. I don't think seeing beautiful things that you can't have is wrong or that anyone should feel bad about it but exactly the opposite! Your vlogs are peaceful and inspiring. Just keep doing you and sharing content! It's a little light in our days - always, but specially now! Lots of love, from Spain!!
Hi Lizzy! Really appreciative of these vlogs at a time like this. Also appreciate that you're keeping it relatively real, it's nice to escape, but I also want to hear what other people's experiences are. I don't mind a bit of fashion content in there. I'm never compelled to buy everything that's shown that I like and just appreciative of the fashion :) Also, I live and work for an arts organisation in London, and it's so hard to see all those institutions close when they especially can really help with people's mental health. I was also really lucky to have a trip planned to come back home to Adelaide for a wedding (unfortunately now postponed) arrived the day before the government introduced a 14 day quarantine rule for any one entering the country, regardless of symptoms, but I get to be with my mum going through all this, I would have otherwise been in a houseshare and she should would have been on her own. Who know's how long I'll be here for now (not complaining though) I have the privilege of a large garden if I need fresh air, not the case for my housemates. I also ended up having a bad a cold a couple of weeks coming and with the lingering cough and my body aching from the long haul flight I got scared I could possibly have it. So got tested, another thing I'm grateful for, as I know the UK hasn't been the best with testing everyone, and thankfully got the news yesterday that I was negative! Anyway hope everyone stays safe and healthy! That they keep their social distance and that we realise we're doing this for other people not just ourselves. If we're younger or generally healthier if we get the virus it will probably be ok. But for another person, that's not always going to be the case! This is the time to show that we do care and we're not selfish! On the bright side, did people see that there are swans and dolphins in the Venice Canals...mad! What would the world be like if we treated it better or we weren't here! xx
I understand your struggles contentwise, personally I would like fashion and lifestyle content as usual. The current situation is on my mind almost 24/7, so I go on youtube and social media to escape it a bit and try to relax a bit. It's okey to have chatty bits in the vlog about it of course, as vlogs are about what is going on in your life. I'd say just keep posting the stuff you've posted for the past couple of months, it's inspiring, refreshing and soothing at the same time, and I could use some of that!
I think you’ve got the right balance of normality and talking about Covid. You have a really sensible and understandable grasp of the situation so just keep doing what you’re doing. Glad you getting back to be with family, that’s so important. I’d hate to be in isolation on my own. Stay safe x
Sending you lots of love from London Vivi. ANDRA' TUTTO BENE x
I'm based in Paris. We've gone on lockdown this week, but I've been home since last Thursday because had a sore throat (tonsillitis). It's a very isolating experience. 😕
Hi thanks for sharing please take care, I am a barrister and have just started working from home today, very nervous !
Stay safe please -from China

From Belgium
This is exactly the content I want. Both serious talks about what’s happening and something else nice on top of it, like creamy jumpers and books. 😘
I hope you stay strong! 💕
Fabjona Haliti thanks you too
Cecilia Majzoub thanks so much, I’m determined once this virus worry is over to improve my life, if we can all get over this then we have to start appreciating things more
Sending you a virtual hug. It will get better, that’s what I keep telling myself and it will eventually.
Vanessa agree, cannot wait to feel like we are moving forward again
Keep vlogging, Lizzy, please, is a reaaly calming thing to watch and we need calm things
Looking forward to the seasonal wardrobe switch--would love to see spring inspiration, and that does not have to emphasize loads of new purchases.
One year later...I hope you’re feeling better with no lingering symptoms.
Im also from Madrid and the situation here is really bad. Please be careful! And keep up with the content Lizzy, I really appreciated at this time
I can't describe to you how much your videos bring joy to me, they calm me down so much and they are actually the only videos I watch currently. Yeah I just wanted to say that to you, I think you are great! And the best style ofcourse!
Lizzy, don’t be ashamed or sorry for your vulnerability and feelings. They are a strength! Thanks for sharing and being open about your anxiety.
You're never going to please everyone but I'm absolutely happy to see your usual fashion content + vlogs. It's a nice bit of escapism for some of us!
Absolutely agree on that!!
Amylein Hi there. I’m pretty sure this whole virus was out there a while before we knew.
Yep definitely
Keep vlogging Lizzy! In Spain, we’ve been on lockdown for almost a week so your content is kind of an escape 💙 xx
There is something crazy about this in that we are all together in this and we will get through this🤞🏼
Thank you Lizzy for providing this platform for us all to process together❤️
Lizzy you remind me of Lady Diana so much! The resemblance is crazy!😍✨🥰
zainab a just as lovely as her too, in spirit xxx
kirch most definitely 💫
I hope you and your family make a full recovery, God bless!
I hope all the best for you and your family! Get well soon!
I found this chatty video so soothing and like a conversation with a friend, thank you Lizzy :-)
I dont mind what you share, just the space to chat.
I'm navigating a breakup in isolation and I know we can get through this together :-)
It'll all be alright in the end and if it's not alright its not the end
keep vlogging, keep showing cloth and styling and keep talking about what life looks like right now!!
Thank you lizzy for vlogging it’s a really nice comfort to watch and enjoy please continue if you can thank you x
This is great content for this time! Authentic, genuine and the perfect balance of fashion and feelings! Thanks Lizzy!
Hi Lizzy!!! Literally you vlogging at home is perfect i am in quarantine in the USA and it really helps my mental health to watch vlogs 💕💕💕
I found this very comforting to watch. I've been very emotional too during this even whilst trying to be logical and practical about it. I think this mix of serious and fun topics is great. People can pick and choose what works for them. Lots of love xxx
please keep up with vlogs, they’re a lifesaver and keeps us anxiety free xx
Also just wanted to say in this challenging time, when I'm sure we could all use a little pick-me-up, that your content has meant the world these past few years.
Hi! Also in Vienna. Wishing all the best to you!
@@gudrunb.530 Hi Gudrun! Wish you also all the best, take care! Wir schaffen das! Liebe Grüße ☺
USA too.
Stay safe!
Yes please, please share the articles recommended by your counsellor. Would be so appropriated x
I was in a similar situation facing a dead end too. I hope all the best for you though 😊💕
Please stay safe and well
This was fantastic! Thank you, it’s reassuring to see how others are coping and that we are all on the same terrifying roller coaster. 👋🏻
Love the fashion content. It's a nice reprieve from the daily news. Thanks Lizzy!
Yes fashion vlogs please keep a bit of normality in our lives through these days of stress xxx
Anything that inspires me to not walk around like a slob all day long ;)
Oh and what really helps me mentally is working out at home. Ive found that it keeps me sane and also makes me maintain a healthy rhythm.
What would the world be like if we treated it better or we weren't here! xx
Hi Lizzie,
How bit how you structure your day ? When you have strict deadlines as well as work life balance ? Love a planning advice vlog xx
Stay safe x
Hi Lizzy, love the idea of lots of vlogs - especially Anne vlogs! Stay safe and take care xx
