Lizzy, do you spend any time aimlessly on UA-cam or watching Netflix? You are such a voracious reader - absolutely aspirational, but I’m finding once I get home spend time chilling, chatting, eating, exercising, cleaning and maybe watching a few UA-cam videos etc. it’s time for bed already! How do you do it? 😊
i love your book content so much lizzy! please consider using goodreads so you can track what you read and add books to your tbr (which is just a list of books 'to be read'
You really inspired me to take up film photography! I just got back from 3 weeks in New Zealand and am so excited to get my photos back. It was my first time delving into film but I absolutely loved it and it definitely made me feel more mindful and creative with what I was shooting. Thank you for the inspiration!
Awe you have a groove going on, I so enjoy ur weekly catch ups, thank you 🙏🏻 Saw a book in your video 12.02 Natives by Akala, he is so wise on Black history Egyptian Ethiopian history and the misrepresentation of history, it’s truest eye opening. ( he’s Miss Dynamite’s brother) I’d highly recommend reading 🙏🏻 or watch/listen to his Oxford lecture here on UA-cam to get a flavour
I love your style and aesthetic so much! For years I'm having this thought of starting a blog but the fact that I have zero social media presence and that I don't travel/live in beautiful places, stops me. I wish I could grab a camera and follow your example.
I really am warming to the wallpaper on the chimney breast Lizzie......very Dior-esque! Now you have piqued my interest with the lamp you are currently coveting; any chance of a peek?
I’m pretty sure you can take those little discs to a camera place and they’ll convert them to a USB/SD/something - my dad has a bunch converted a few years ago so that we could reminisce over some videos of family holidays from the late 2000s
I get so discouraged when I can't find my footing at the start of a new year. I think I put too much stock in the turn of a calendar page ...let alone the blank canvas of a new calendar. Arriving at the store without your parcel pretty much sums up where I'm at so far in 2020. I am reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frye. I like Harold and wish him the best on his journey, and you ..well, and me, on ours.
The frantic silly vibe of this vlog reminds me of the vlog where you bought the men’s Gucci loafers and also banged your knee off something, makes me laugh but I hope you feel more settled and in less of a Lizzy-tizzy soon! X
but honestly... how is it that even the books you read are that beautiful? i enjoyed this vlog, however frantic you were.. maybe that's also a reason why ahah all your videos feel very genuine, i like that. hope you're having a good week so far xx
I wasn't a fan off The Sellout but adored Lanny, I think you've started it already from your Goodreads. I just bought Calypso on your recommendation, can't wait for a giggle!
Lizzy, just a thought.....do u think your bed could be shifted to go head against the left wall ! That way your closet would be fully open to access along the side of the bed.
The wardrobe doesn’t run the full width as it’s a chimney breast in the middle. The previous tenant had the bed where you suggest, and then no curtain on the wardrobe, and a piece of art on the chimney breast. It looked cool but my wardrobe is never tidy enough to be on show! Xx
My son has been reading Nietschke along with Plato, Hemingway, Dante! He's tackling (yes that's how I think of it) Master and Margarita by Bulgakov and Fear and Trembling by Kierkegaard. I thought I was a reader but my God, he's next level. I told him he needs to read some modern literature. He said he has a list for those too but he has a system he's following, ha. P.S. LOVE your hair pulled back. X
Ahh I want to read Linda Nochlin so badly! I can't wait to hear what you think. Have you been to London Review Bookshop? It's my absolute favorite bookstore in London - their curation is so great, and I always find like 10 books to buy.
Lizzy - The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone by Olivia Lang is a book you might be interested in if you haven't already read it. She spent time unexpectedly alone in new york and started to explore this through looking at the work of artists and photographers such as Warhol, Henry Darger and David Wojnarowicz. It's opened a whole new world (to me) of East Village artists and photographers with lots more books to read.
Have just had sayaka murata’s book the convenience store women book recommended to me she is a Japanese writer and it’s the first of her 10 books to be translated into English.
have you tried connecting the camcorder directly to the computer and getting the footage that way? i had a similar issue with a vhs-c and that worked well, i was able to capture it through premiere pro x
I did not except to randomly burst into tears when "surf" came on. I can't get past "circles" (like the song) it just makes me too emotional, not just because it's an emotional album but because I know it's his last 😥
Love Representing Women! I took a Women in Art class in school for my Art History degree and Linda Nochlin is truly a badass. Also, if you ever do go back to another service, you can use the app SongShift to move your playlists back and forth-it's so easy! Always love your videos!
Hey Lizzie..have you done a review of your bottega bag? If not will you do one, it is great looking and the size looks perfect. I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks so much.
Hi Lizzy! (And hi everyone!) I live in Paris and would love to go to London for a day in a few weeks. I plan to see the Dora Maar exhibit at the tate modern, but then what would you suggest me ? I'm not necessarily interested in seing all the tourist spots
i love it!!! went to download it and had like 3/4 of the songs already downloaded myself before i found hers 😂 but that 1/4 of new music i found is making my bus rides a whole lot more exciting
Looking into more recent/modern time surrealist photography you should check out Nitin Vadukul. He is my best friend’s late father. His work is incredible.
Hace you tried plugging the recorder straight into the computer? I’m thinking maybe you’re lucky and it functions the same way as a dslr camera? Hope it helps! 😬😳
Hi Lizzy, i recommend to you this book. It called Women who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype. I think you might like it give it a try. Our choises with the books are similar.
Just a suggestion here...have you seen Patriot Act on Netflix? It's by Hasan Minhaj and he does an episode on fast fashion and sustainability. It's very interesting! You should watch.
I just bought a seconf hand model of a device no longer in production. And the accompanying cd was missing. Found a download link for the software online. Try doing a search, that is, if you haven't already...

Ahh amazing!!! And to shoot in New Zealand’ I’m sure the photos will be stunning! Xxx

Even your weird vlogs are enjoyable! Totally relate to feeling frazzled three weeks in 🤯
I love that trio behind you with the mirror, plant and drawers. Beautiful 😍

The author of Nietzsche and The Burbs was my lecturer at university, and was a hugely interesting guy! Will have to pick that up now. Thanks Lizzy. X

The sellout was definitely one of my favourite books I read last year, would highly recommend

i really love this video! hope you come back refreshed and relaxed from your break

Love that you’ve officially joined Spotify full time. It’s the best streaming service, in my opinion. Just followed you!
You HAVE to read the sellout. It's one of my fave books of all time!
i like the hair tied back!

Oh Lizzy how I love your book content!!! Would you ever consider doing a video on you favorites?
I loved Frederich Nietsche when I was in college. A thinker like no other!

I just read this - it's pretty good. Nice and easy to read with a non-stereotypical character.

Yes I have tried that! I need to buy a special lead which is my next port of call if this disk thing doesn’t work! Xxx
@@LizzyHadfield best of luck! xxx
The second you mentioned the christodora book, I ordered it! Love your book recommendations :))

Linda Nochlin is excellent! I also did an art history degree and took a specific class on women and art and we read a ton of her stuff
