BRRF is NOT happening this year. Johnathan Sly is officially broke because Sunbelt Rentals is suing him for unpaid rental equipment for the 2022 BRRF. They are asking $654,979.31. The case is supposed to go to trial in April of this year
I hope so! That's basically next week at soonest.
Same time I don't want the fest to end just the owns to be "canceled" 😅.
I've heard that suit was settled and Sunbelt won... obviously. There are at least two more cases pending.
I thought the 600k+ was the settlement?
@@xypherus777 it was for Sunbelt.
Tank the Tech done a good video on this 👍
You and TankTheTech are on the front line of getting to the bottom of this mess of a festival I was at last year. Thank you!
Well tank was actually IN it tho. He knows why it was canceled but BRRF will never admit the truth.
Tank did a good video. He said he had multiple booking agents say they havnt booked any bands for BRRF, nor will they. It isnt happening, nor should it
I knew people who went. I live on the Virginia Coast, and the storms out here were gnarly. My friends said that a couple of the few staff that was there were overheard saying that the event was cancelled earlier in the week, then last minute it was on again. Due in part to the weird weather that week. That explains the lack of equipment, amenities, sanitation and food/water. Btw, not justifying it. Its abhorrent what the fans and bands went through.
As a business owner, i suspect that BRRF is still scheduled, at least on paper. The reason I say this is because that if J.Sly shows that his business is still alive and viable, he can make an insurance claim on last years shitshow, then cancel 2024. And possinly recoup some of the losses and cover that bill Sunbelt handed them
Ask somebody who went last year the storm that happened took out Thursday then Friday the show happened then Saturday and Sunday never happened for one very poor venue you're in the middle of nowhere. 3 people were so spread out it wasn't even funny when you were on a golf cart getting a ride back the girl sitting next to me area code where the hell are you taking me and the guy goes all the way to this side of the Raceway the girl didn't even know that side of the Raceway even existed for campers. They oversold by 20,000 people. But again one of the worst experiences ever
Being a touring artist has become increasingly expensive over the last few years. It's only the headliners who could probably make up the difference.
Think about all the weed dealers who got boned by legal weed.
I was there and the weather was not reason it was canceled it was under poor management
Who organized this Festival Wayne and Garth?
Hey that's not fair! Wayne and Garth organised a great festival
Sheayeah...no way
I played with Motograter as their lead guitarist at the Pre-Party for BRRF 2023. I didn't stay for the whole weekend but some of the other members did and it looked like a mess and total chaos. Other than the Pre-Party being hot as hell it was a fun day and loved interacting with the crowd after the show. It sucks that people are still dealing with the fallout from this which should have been one of the greatest music events.
Thats the worst part, the bands and the fans said that the actual stuff that DID go down without a hitch was great. but as we are all aware, the smiles and jubilation were not to be for long
Tank also said booking agents he knows will never book their bands to blue ridge ever again
Thank you for all your continuous and thorough hard work/journalism for all of us homie! 🙏♥️
They're not selling tickets.
Go click the links to buy.
Nothing is available to purchase.
(As of recent).
That was basically Fyre fest 2.0!
They quit taking payments on layaways like 3 months ago. It won't let you actually pay for tickets outright, and hasn't worked for about 3 months.
I’ve been waiting for a refund.
I have a buddy that works at VIR, he said brrf still has stuff stored onsite.
Thanks for the update on this!!!
Tank the Tech says this is probably a NO GO.
Yeah so why is anyone even here?
Glad to know. Didn't know about last year and saw tickets go up for Grand Rapids (2 days only 2 hours away). I didn't get far enough to order but it had a lineup and dates.
These are the stories fans need to hear!
Download U.K -best festival on the planet …
Some call it “ Drownload “ when it pisses with rain and mud everywhere..
Always have wanted to go to a fest in Europe
I wouldn't hold your breath on getting a refund for this festival unless a miracle happens. A few years ago, this happened to me, but it was a rock festival in Ontario. Canada, the same thing happened. They declared backuptcy eventually so no one got refunds. They owed bands money. poor organization, so many things went wrong but never bothered to tell us anything, and they were still selling tickets for it. I was also looking forward to this 4 day festival. I hope everything works out with this festival. Thanks, Rock Feed, for the info.
They're not going to give any refunds. This entire festival was a huge scam and they are doing their best to cover up every scammy thing they do. Dirtiest, nastiest, most unprepared, unorganized, price gauging concert/festival I've ever gone to and I'll never give them another chance. My first and last BRRF was '23
My friends(who went last year) got half their money refunded back to them from blue ridge
If one band is going to play at Blue Ridge 2024... It'll be Trapt.
Could be Breaking Benjamin... they tend to show up at DWP festivals when a headliner drops out... lol
Yeah, I don't think I could ever drop that kind of cash for concerts (especially with 3 in my family who would go) but if I did and it got cancelled like that I'd be furious as well! I was looking at tickets for Sonic Temple in Columbus cause Sleep Token, Falling In Reverse and Staind are just 3 I'd love to see but the ticket prices are insane! And I know there's no chance in hell that I could go and not bring my kid who is obsessed with Sleep Token. Bummer, but festivals are just way too expensive now.
Tank the tech tried buying tickets the other day and the website is not selling tickets
My payments were processed for 2024 then abruptly stopped months ago.
Thank you for feeding rock.
If people had to evacuate that venue for any reason whatsoever, chaos wouldn't even begin to describe what would have ensued. Definitely one of the most unsafe events from a logistical standpoint I have ever attended in my life, and that is putting it very lightly.
I appreciate a channel of your size covering this issue. Finally feels like fans are being heard after months of feeling like nobody cares.
That was a sh&$) show I was there unbelievable They need to refund And they should not be allowed to have another show. I paid for me and my sister. Everyone paid a lot of money for this. 🤬
Interesting.
Off topic but Staind in Chicago never even put pit tickets up for sale unless part of the 500 vip sale...
Ask somebody who went to a 2023 Blue Ridge this Festival is horrible extremely bad. Venue people walk miles to get from one side of the penny to the other. You're out in the middle of nowhere so if you need an ambulance it would take you hours to get one. People don't mention it took 16 hours for some people to check in last year this Festival if it happens no one should show up 2021 20/22 and 2023 have all been terrible but it's always I would recommend going to Welcome to Rockville or Louder Than Life if you're looking for a high-quality Music Festival
This festival was an absolute nightmare! This was my first one and last one and hope they get shut down for good!
"It puts the tickets in the basket or it gets the hose again"
I was there. I have zero hope of getting any bit of a refund. Luckily we had a separate account so it didn’t drain us, still disappointing. Would be nice to get it back. We payed for the full 4 days, got to experience a day and a half. The cancelled for weather claim is BULL. The second day fine. But the third day as well as the fourth the weather was so beautiful! There was zero reason for them to cancel, my guess is they cancelled on the bands too early.
I was planning to go to the Festival, but right before I bought the tickets and made travel plans, an elderly relative got sick, and I was the only one to take care of him. So I ended up staying in Florida instead.
So at least I was saved the disappointment.
Turns out when they unmasked the festival organizer it was just Old Man Withers.... and he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids.
I'm with the below, saw Tank's video on this. It's sounding more & more like a pyramind scheme the more I hear I about it.
Opening up ticket sales for 2024 seems like a last ditch effort to raise funds in order to refund people their 2023 ticket money.
Tank the Tech did a great video on this yesterday. Smells scammy
Also the poor workers of the festival, not the higher ups, and the conditions they were in
You're right, they're lying.
A friend of mine went to that show and said it was hell idk if she got her refund or not
Other than a handful of festivals not many are done properly
There was 4 months too buy tickets for 2024 an payments have went thru it’s a shit show an just huge court case
So Fyre Fest has achieved it's final form or nah?
Well there were actual artist there so I wouldn’t say it was as bad as fyre lol
WTF?! Trust Company are back?
I thought they’d disbanded about 16-18 years ago.
I was there I hope it doesn't happens again.....so many people screwed.....
Louder than life Is the best festival around, they never disappoint. Just look at the lineup, been goin yearly since 2014, only did it get canceled one time for flooding and they moved the location to the Ky fairgrounds and besides the Covid yrs we haven’t ever had an issue..
Milwaukee Metal Fest instead
I just checked and they are not selling tickets anymore
Man I wish Kansas City would bring back there. ROCKFEST it was from what they say the 1 day largest Rockfest I miss it
Jesus show the statement already
Agree 100%. Took him over 8 minutes to actually get to the BRRF statement.
They said currently not selling tickets never said that they didn't sell tickets
That was his grandfather it's well know here in Virginia
a tornado went through the campground i was at
The area needs a festival but not by the ones running this. Weather happens but it sounds like a nightmare and then people still haven't been refunded. Usually you get those within what a month or so. Maybe theyre using that for all these lawsuits who knows. Can't rely on them to be honest
This will be a HARD Rug pull!
It's not only clear they had ticket sales up but sold them aa well..
A few teirs where crossed out for both 4-day VIP and Rockstar level, priced at $1,650 & $1,750 (rockstar).
The tiers crossing off on that website are based off of time. Not the number of tickets sold in that tier, but yes, I do believe they are selling tickets. It's just hard to tell at what rate since the tiers cross off on a time limit
if you actually click the ticket as if to buy one none are available
I hated this turned into such a shit so cause it’s been close to me(I’m in Ringgold,VA) for the last couple years, like I could’ve driven there and back back home every day. I was so excited when I first heard that were coming so close to me. Then the last couple years happened and I would never go
The fest that made Tank the Tech smoke a cigarette
Still waiting on that refund paid for 4 days got 1
Spent almost 4K on vip tickets and a camping spot last year and got running through a hail storm while drunk(kinda fun actually) and seeing slipknot in what I assume was a sea of sewage, good times….
Ok i have an interesting one , I drove up from Miami over night with a friend just to find out Till Lindemann canceled 1 day before the show, was one of the bands i was interested the most. Got there whole shi* show with weather and all, very poor organization and got a bad food poisoning from the stands there, left after Sleep Token opening song(best decision I ever made coz they are not for open air festivals).
After all that to see people who come with campers for all 4 days just left there to figure it out was terrible…
What does Corey Taylor think about this?
Seriously tho! They did attend last year! 😂😅
Nothing because his band is also guilty of throwing poorly organized festivals. (Knotfest Iowa) if you need to ask look it up.
Slipknot was very angry at Jonathan sly during the meet and greet
I'm not really not a fan of festivals anyway, but this a complete clusterfuck. Still waiting on refunds from last year? Really? That's criminal
Yikes... why would you buy tickets for this year after what happened last year??
Luckily they are not accessible anymore. If you click buy now it won’t let you go to purchase them. However tickets for this year went on sale on the first day of the 2023 festival and several people started payment plans which abruptly stopped and from what I’ve seen, there’s no chance to get refunds for money payed
I went and had a good time going again next year
You went last year?
i wonder how many sunbelt rental staff members were in attendance for this show......
I was going to go to this festival to see LINDEMANN. Thank god he canceled and I dodged this bullet when I sold my tickets.
I worked security, not only was it a shit show, but who ever put it on did a shitty job. But I will say on the raceway side that the grounds were absolutely destroyed, and we were pulling people out left and right with winches and trucks.
Normie Fest ‘24
This line up and the whole cancellation thing looks very similar to Mexico’s Hell and Heaven festival cancelled last December on very short notice. The other “North America’s Largest Music Festival”. If you can’t get a refund in the LOTF, try getting one in Mexico. Of course, the most expensive tickets at H&H were only about $400usd for 3 day VIP. How much for BR?
About $600-$800 plus taxes and fees for vip. Another $100ish per person for a camping pass. I spent about 3k for 2 people last year
I was there, still waiting for refund.
Late planning would make any 2024 festival more of a hot mess than 2023
If you actually try to buy the tickets it doesn’t let you. They just left it up on the site
This whole festival made me feel like I was a Griswold.
they screwed me out of 3k after 4 passes and camping. This show could have went on that weekend. We only had a day and a half of bad weather. They will NEVER get my business again. They are crooks!
They have presale Tix for sale 😂😂😂
Still waiting on refund!! NEVER would I consider going back to that shit show!!!
Tickets were sold the day of festival for 2024 after the festival they stopped selling tickets they ware unable to process. So you are wrong in the since by claiming they are still selling tickets. Yes there are bands contracted this year which was done last year be4 all the issues highly doubtfull brrf happens this year not enough time to organize
Sounds like some shady fraud shit
I'll tell you I will not even attempt to buy tickets to a blue ridge festival
I'm so full I got my rock 🪨 feed fed 🎸 💯
This makes va look bad like wtf man. I hope something good can come of all this beaides refunds. Id like a proper festival thats handled by proper professionals, for starters. Hell, maybe Cleetus McFarland could help out???
There's literally 3 days in September that the raceway could even host it. And the day before and the day after there are races.
I'm not saying it's impossible that they couldn't turn the raceway over in under 18 hours to be ready for a 3 day festival.
No, wait....that's exactly what I'm saying. This ain't happening
So glad I went to Rockville instead of blue ridge last year. Going to Rockville again this year, who else??
Well I can tell you they are selling the tickets and processing payment because I bought mine right as 2023 fest ended (not knowing what a crap show it was)
It's so sad that such a great concept was ruined by something out of the control of the promoter and everyone involved. It wasn't a Frye Fest type of situation but in the end it's going to be lumped in with that event because they have to stay quiet because of insurance.
Definitely not cool
Yeah totally goingXD so I can talk to the other people who wasted their money. in the so called air conditioned bathrooms with a bottle of water we all are going to have to share. Talk about how we wasted are money XD.o also that's where the band singing ares going to be as well take a shi* get an autograph Xd
blue ridge rock festival is not happening this year and probably never again
Serious question: who is copying who? You and country cast have the same process to your UA-cam channel. Both of you have the same layout, backdrops, and etc.
Country Cast is my other channel. Both filmed here.
Broooo 🤣
@@RockFeed that’s awesome! Didn’t know that. Learned something new.
**** blue ridge rock fest.unorganized, unprofessional, no accountability, money grab. I hope they flop personally and get a taste of what they did for the average blue collar fans.
If the shoe was on the other foot, it would have been addressed and handled within 5-7 business days or better.
Literally, I have laughed at those who actually we're a fan of this dumb fest from the beginning hahaha I knew from the start this was a shit show
So where's the "surprising turn"? The surprise would be if any bands signed up and any idiot fans would spend money for this dumpster fire.
Biden could have ran a better rock festival 😂
Now that would be hilarious he'd be tripping and falling everywhere
Rockville canceled half of the event 2022, right before Guns and Roses was about to go on because of lightning storm. 30 minute delay tops. Why couldn't they continue after? Makes zero sense. Get the ticket insurance to protect your purchase 🎟
Seems to me that they are trying to make money in order to pay back money.
