    Yes. They were making us leave the festival during Thursdays weather for our safety to evacuate. But then we couldn't leave because they didn't have enough busses at all . They lied about all the busses from the beginning. Telling us we can't leave but we can't be under tents to avoid rain .They are trying to sell 25 dollar burgers. But can't feed the staff? The place is the absolute worst experience ever

      and they forced us to pay for their buses or walk 6miles, I would've never gone if I knew in advance that their plan was to literally trap us at their grounds in a bottleneck of their failed bus system

    Thank you for covering this. It should honestly go nationwide so Mr Slye can meet his end as CEO. Its clear hes not capable of holding the event and the fact that his crew walked on him given the conditions isnt surprising. I knew something was up Saturday when I didnt even see the tent for the workers to scan shuttle passes. Also the lack security was def alarming like the guy stated in the video

      Yeah. I'm so glad I didn't go to this because I would've definitely been panicking at the circumstances. I've heard from multiple people that they just didn't even check bags at all. Quite alarming.

    • @ogwillyp
      @ogwillyp 8 місяців тому

      no bag checks at all, and the rule was supposed to be clear bags only but there were def some that didn't have clear bags. People could've gotten very hurt given their ineptitude. Also the crowd was just too big for the area, pickpocketing and people constantly passing out from heat exhaustion was a huge issue. I def had it better than some on Friday but it was also worrisome@@pewcfpv8056

    We were forced to evacuate Thursday and then were never let back in. I drove around the festival for two days and when I finally had enough I parked and walked in on foot. Only to find everything except two pillows and a blanket were stolen. That was a sad walk 5 miles back to the car in the pitch black with my trash bag with two pillows a blanket and one shoe I found :/ the weather was FINE early Saturday and all day Sunday. They turned the ADA and overflow parking lines around at 7am and made us park in day parking. They never had any intent on letting anyone back in after they SCRAPED through Friday by a miracle. It was a DISASTER.

      It was last year and if they have it there again next year I’ll be there again. I was camping and went through all this stuff. It sucked and it was unfortunate, but things happen. And there were water stations at the venue. Maybe only 4, but they were easy enough to get to and the lines were only mildly long right after a show was done.

      He will most likely file an insurance claim for lost revenue and tell everyone the insurance company didn't pay enough to fully cover refunds. Whether it's bankruptcy or insurance fraud, the fans will get screwed. Be diligent for a refund if available. Corporate greed. Take the millions and give the customers bare minimum to increase profit margins.

      It was a mess because the person who organized it messed up bad. He’s going to get sued.
      Not because it’s the US. This is the fault of the organizer for not having a proper evacuation plan, not planning sanitation for this many people, and treating the employees like crap. This is his fault. He didn’t cause a lightening storm, but he caused danger not having a safety plan for a storm.

    Me and my son drove 8 hours to get there. Then had to stand in line for 4 hours to get our tickets that we bought online witch are wrist bands. Then had to stand in the shuttle line for 3 hours. Once in the venue we had about 3 hours in and the rain came. Then we stood in line for another 4 hours on a little road in the dark during the storm that they evacuated us out for. With Very little lighting made for poor visibility. Friday we went a little later than we wanted but stood in line for 3 hours and the event security in the parking lot started making people leave so the shuttles could evacuate the people inside. And Saturday we stood in line for 4 and a half hours to be told it's cancelled. Piss poor planning on everything.

      During Sleep Token and MIW is when it really started to get bad, right around the time the sun was going down. I saw numerous cell phone cases on the ground with the phones missing. Guy in the crowd walked by and said to keep them close because they were getting stolen. Thankfully even though I was miserable I wore the tightest jeans possible so Id know if someone is fondling me. Sorry you and your husband had to deal with that. With that many people its no surprise that you're gonna have that happen with all the bad eggs that made a bad weekend even worse

      People who have gone to outdoor shows make the agreement when they buy the ticket that it's rain or shine. But they also expect the promoter and venue to at least provide basic human necessities like enough restrooms and water and shelter for bad weather. From what I've heard, the promoter also oversold by 20k or more. That's why no camp sites were left. Overselling is not by accident. Money grab. Give bare minimum

    • @ogwillyp
      @ogwillyp 8 місяців тому

      Weather while it would’ve delayed things definitely was not the cause of the cancellation of the whole weekend. There was a lot more that went on from poor planning, overselling, lack of basic needs, lack of security, a parking lot 2 miles away so you were forced to shuttle in. Campsites were destroyed and people lost a lot of money due to the owner’s ineptitude. There were at least 60k people piled into a racetrack that can hold maybe 10-15k at most. People got left stranded in a hail storm on Thursday because there was no shelter. They were using porta potty’s to seek shelter. The list goes on. There’s plenty of stories similar from thousands that were there.
