I don't understand why this video doesn't have a million views this is awesome stuff❤
I live in the Pacific Northwest near the Puget Sound. This is absolutely thrilling to watch and spikes my curiosity towards indigenous skills.
Love hearing that! Thanks for sharing.
This is awesome. Thank you for sharing
I love this channel. I looooove how you respect Native American culture and also inform us of their culture as well. Second video and I’m already subbed 🥰
Great vid. Love the abo stuff.
This is TOTALLY my jam right here! 👍 👍 What an awesome kit! Completely dig it man. Please do more of this, and show some more fishing. 🎣
Ok will do! Thanks.
This technique really enhances my appreciation for the native Hawthorn. I will definitely be trying this technique!
Growimg up in Oregon, those damned thorns got me good as a kid.
Your stuff is amazing! You’ve gone to such great lengths to show authentic ways of practicing these skills and actually showing the results! Thanks for your content!
Really appreciate that! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Amaxing. Thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome! Thank you for watching.
Totally swesome
Another vid of yours that’s blown me away!! I have a great passion for this craft but have only been guessing so far. Thank you for your knowledge and skills.
Really glad you’re enjoying the content! Especially knowing you have a passion for what we’re covering. Thanks for watching and leaving supportive comments! It is appreciated.
I love your channel!!!
That’s great to hear. Thanks!
I heard in the UK there are 500 types of hawthorn.
Wow! That’s new information to me. Unlimited resources for primitive projects!
Can you do a bow and arrow series?
I have made 2 alright bow and 1 arrow which was pretty good but I want to see it from someone else. If you’ve done it before
Absolutely, we’ll be doing that soon. We’ve made many aboriginal bows and arrows over the years and looking forward to getting the process on video. Thanks for the request!
Can you make a Inuit style harpoon next, or can you do a primitive bone knife video
Bone knife is definitely on the list! Also we’re very interested in learning more about Inuit harpoons. That would be a fun project and challenge for sure! Thanks for the suggestions.
Have you used sinew in the place of plant fiber? I know sinew bow strings fail if left in the rain, but thought i would ask anyway.
We do have quite a bit of experience working with sinew. It’s true that sinew will often fail if it gets wet, but we’ve found that it can still be used for fishing line if the strands are left longer (8 inches or so) then frayed and twisted tight together. Doing it this way will make it much more resistant to water and actually usable for fishing line.
@@wildernessstrong6131 Ok good to know, that length falls in the back strap sinew for my available recources. Looks like another expirement I need to try. Thank you for sharing!
A request for showcasing your basic pottery skills; in specific a small carriable pot for tea and boiling food (accessing medicine and edible resources).
Request noted. Thanks!
@@wildernessstrong6131 Look forward to it, you guys are doing a great job!
You said the Steen's, are you from Oregon? I'm from Joseph
We are. West of Mt Hood but have spent lots of time in Eastern OR. Wow you live in a great area for the outdoors.
@@wildernessstrong6131 yes I love it here, it's always beautiful and I can go anywhere within a few minutes and be away from noise and people!
Liberating, right?
Poor up close filming!
