Great video. My aunt and cousin owned a salon called "American Girl Beauty Salon" at 18 Meadowdale. I see it in some of your videos. I have so many amazing memories in the late 70's and 80's of hanging out there after school having no clue about women's hair, but enjoying the company. My aunt also was an assistant manager at the Woolworth's which is now I think where the Tractor Supply is located.
Its a nice change to see such an old/small shopping centre have a very well documented history from numerous sources. Also, glad to see another video from you!
I didn't realize this place had an interior portion! Even if the inside mall has shrunk from its original size, it is great it has been kept up. Great job for doing this video, and I really want to visit here one day.
I highly recommend checking this out. I made a visit over there today. I couldn't believe this was so close and yet so hidden from me this whole time. A great find! I decided to walk and vlog the old racetrack as well. That may have been an even more awesome experience with super abandoned vibes!
Great video! Such a great little find, sometimes some of these strip malls have these little indoor Corredor‘s, and they are just so well preserved! Love finding these little gems!
It's so interesting to see thank you! I thought the Chinese restaurant being able to expand was interesting considering Chinese restaurants in the US were introduced in the 80s (I'm pretty sure, could be wrong) so it makes sense that it would've generated foot traffic and done well
Late day upload squad! I was at this mall back in the fall of 2019 and it def gave me creepy vibes. Def has the Backrooms vibes looking back but of course, The Backrooms was still a relatively new thing and hadn't gotten popular online yet back in 2019

I think the restaurant was one of the oldest remaining tenants too.
Chinese food has been around longer than the 80s... Hell, there's a Chinese food scene in A Christmas Story
