- Toyo Tires presents Climbkhana: Pikes Peak, a new film series by World RallyX driver Ken Block coming Summer 2017. The next generation of the Gymkhana series, Climbkhana features Block’s 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2 with a twin turbo, methanol power, 1,400 horsepower V8 engine and Toyo® Proxes® R888R™ tires.

Was there on the day of some of the filming. They had traffic to the peak stopped for a bit to let them film safely. Hearing that beast, if only from a distance, was truly an experience.

Ken already said it was done being filmed. And the tire is already available, so not sure why the delay.

I think the Hoonicorn wouldn't be good at it. You barely touch the pedal and you have already lost traction. :D
No downforce or grip, it's safer for Ken to just drift around corners
air induction is needed for the high altitude. 800 HP N A wouldn't cut the climb buddy.

Was at the peak today and he was finishing up the last portions of the video. A pikes peak staff member told me they did not finish in the allotted time last year due to an unforeseen crash that resulted in his car needing extensive work. If that's true who knows.
