"Away from the prying eyes of the Nords."
*Orc character proceeds to wear Stormcloak armor.*
Bleached
@@BonePapi Wouldn't it be Orced? Since Elder Scrolls races always take the race of their mother?
@@Foodisgood Greened
@@Foodisgood nah then it would be still bleached if it is what I think.
Our stronghold, all five of us.
And to top it off, only the Chief can mate with the women of the stronghold. So good luck to them on sustaining a non-incestual population.
@@karawithgun8148 Well it's the same as lions. Hell that was probably the inspiration. The young children / lions would be all killed and the females mated with again by the new chieftain when he kills the old. I'd imagine theres a cut off point for this cull, which means only the oldest children are kept before a new male's DNA is added to the next generation.
@@karawithgun8148 they dont mate with family, only one male breeds in a stronghold, but his wives come from other strongholds etc. the other males either stays as betas or kill the leading male and take over, or they leave to become city orcs.
And all of them spouses, family…or both 🤨
I did miss seeing a lot of Orcs around the cities like you did in Oblivion, when I did eventually come across a stronghold I had completely forgotten that Orcs were even a race lol

As an Orc player, I was welcomed with open arms by my brethren. Then I proceeded to beat up their chief and his little brother for a laugh. Now they love me.
Orcs are literally Nords on steroids
@@OblivionKnight76 Orcs = Nord-mer
They do like the spicy ones
@@OblivionKnight76 Yea. Cultures are very similar hence the respect Nords hold for them, despite being mer. Basically any warrior/honor based culture, Nords like Redguards too I think
@@TheNecroFisherman In the quest with Saadia and Kematu, it is evident that the Nords can tolerate Redguard that don’t cause trouble. It’s also likely that some Nords sympathize with the Redguard, considering that they too are in the middle of a revolution against the Thalmor.
I expected more of a “Who you callin’ pig face, pig face?” When you said that.
"Who you callin' Pinhead?"
@@felynecomrade WHOEVER I WANT. I'M DIRTY DAN, PINHEAD!!
Which one of you's the real Dirty Dan 🐿️
Basically any quest for an orc got you into the strongholds I used to go right to the lovers atone above kolgslegg mine, wipe out the foresworn and tell the miners the mine was clear and the orc miner would say he would send word to all the orc strongholda that you were to be trusted. The very first time i played i had to get the forgemasters fingers or something
You can also just fetch a book for Ghorza in Markarth. Or a daedra heart for her brother Moth, if you have a few lying around like I did.
@engineer gaming eh, I like to save that one for a slightly more necessary quest. Misc ones can wait
just wanted to say i appreciate the fact that you showed what the dialogue is like when you're not an orc beforehand.
Orcs are by far my favourite race to play. My first time playing I played as an orc and half of the new files after that were orcs too
Orcs are the secret easy mod of the game if you're playing as a warrior
I like killing stuff with green skins
I somehow had this bug in my orc play through where the orcs welcomed me with open arms to the strongholds. But after a little while they kicked me out and wouldn’t stop calling me outlander. Even though I was always an orc 100% of the time.
maybe you commited a crime in a stronghold
Werewolf? Can remove certain race specific stuff like combat dialogue from enemies
Did you become a Vampire? You get recorded as RaceUndead. So OrcUndead which isn't Orc.
I think they welcome argonians, I remember doing a quest for orc settlements.
They will welcome any race once you have done a quest for them whether it was given by the strong hold (forge masters fingers) or any other orc in Skyrim. For quests given by orcs not living in strong hold, make sure you hear them say that they sending a word to orc strong holds that you can be trusted, without this line you won't be welcomed.
It's for a specific quest line for a particular stronghold that's tied to one of the daedric artifacts.
You'll also be welcomed if you raise your disposition with an orc. The blacksmith in Markarth for example, after you complete a quest for her.
@@NeonX96 there are actually two orc blacksmiths in Markarth, siblings, who'll both 'send word to the strongholds' if you fetch stuff for them (a book and a daedra heart respectively). The brother is the best looking male orc imo, definitely worth considering him if you're looking for an orc spouse, both as an entrance into the strongholds and as a candidate himself.
‘’You must have been away from your kind for a long time…’’
What? Did the Stormcloak outfit give it away?
When it comes to Fallout, people say Bethesda turned Supermutants into Orcs.
But this is false, because if Supermutants where like their Orcs, it could have been so much more interesting.
There diffrent entities and should be viewed as such both have their strong and weak points, example orcs are just stereotypes given structure
@@makhond2498 But having some interaction is still better than just mindless slaughter.
Orcs have an an interesting culture and religion that's developed somewhat out of and beyond traditional depictions, which is barely touched on in Skyrim. Supermutants are just bloodthirsty science experiments by contrast, they have no culture and can't reproduce.
I think they ment 40k orks not orcs
Supermutants were shit out by the Master?
It's a shame there wasn't a bit more content about Orcs. Hell, about pretty much all races. Most of the time, the only differentiation done is betwenn human and not human. Breton content would have been nice too. But hey, it's a 2011 game. Can't ask too much.
As far as I know, Orcs barely even have their own continent so there's that.
@@ammagon4519 Their own continent? Who does have their own continent?
The Nords aren't the only natives to Skyrim, there are the Orcs and Reachmen as significant minorities and historically the Dwemmer and Falmer. All of these could have done with more content, especially the Orcs, Falmer (snow elves) and Reachmen.
I thought the Forsworn were Bretons?
@@devonbrown695 To my understanding they are like distant cousins.
2011 wasn't that long ago. Bethesda has long taken the philosophy of quantity over quality, padding their games with more content than they can flesh out. Even in sixth grade, I learned "if a detail serves no purpose to the plot or building a character, it needs to be cut."
It was very cool to come across orc strongholds. Was there a quest line associated with strongholds?
There's the one with the weak Chieftain, at least, that you have to help "prove" himself, though more like prove his terminal upward velocity.
the Yamarz space program is a must-do quest for every playthrough
If not for the funny, for the big ass whacker that is actually cool as hell
They were way too small. They should have been full fledged towns. A single wooden wall hardly makes it a 'stronghold'!
Multiple not just one
An Orc using Stormcloack armor makes me very unconfortable
idk i honestly think they look alright in Stormcloak armor. but now Orcs in imperial armor is WAY more cringier IMHO, at least most Stormcloak armors don't have skirts like the imperial ones lol
Makes sense. Orcs are all about tradition and self-reliance, and that's what the Stormcloaks want. Plus many Stormcloaks believe the Empire has become weak, and if there's one thing Orcs hate, it's weakness.
The Empire is the only outside faction that aided Orsinium in the countless time its been besieged by its neighbors, also worth noting that many orcs that leave their strongholds end up in service within the Imperial legions
Skyrim belongs to the NOrcs
@@felynecomrade Stormcloaks are racist/purists, they want to expel any other race except Nords from Skyrim. Especially Mer races, in Windhelm Dunmer are forced to live in slums and argonians are not allowed entry.
Based and greenpilled.
I played so much as an Orc for so long, that when I played an Imperial. I was all like" O yea I'll go do that Orc quest!" Yea, they told me to fuck right off...had no idea that was a thing until like 2019 lol.
It really is interesting to switch it up every now and again. I didn't really realize how bad dunmer were treated in windhelm til I played one and got insulted XD
@@Engreth564 I downloaded a modlist and playing as a Dunmer, a stormcloak walked out of the front gate and (it was clearly audio mashed to make them sound like they were saying it) I got absolutely berated, was threatened with death or the jails and was told to stay away from the jarls palace.
I was level 65+ at that stage, so naturally I slaughtered every Windhelm guard.
I care for my n'wahs.
@@ungodlytemptations Approved. For Morrowind!
It's awfully presumptuous of them to assume you grew up in a stronghold.
This is the only reason to be Orcs in Skyrim. 30 seconds of different dialogue
Gameplay wise they are quite strong if you want to play a brick house tank.
my favorite race!
Hail to all my scorned brothers and sisters out there! Praise Malacath and see you all in Orsinium
Isn't the stronghold tied with a Deardric Artifact I remembered doing
Yup the volendrung quest
The one in the South of Riften is where you get that quest.
Volendrung, Blade of Malacath, and The Hands of Smithing (Smithing +25-50%)
"away from the prying eyes of the Nords"
I get it, Nord women want to peg the men orcs while the Nord men want to knock up the women
As would any true son or daughter of Skyrim!
some Nord women sure want some of that Orc seed...
I mean, you're not entirely wrong. I pretty much always marry Borgakh or another Orc. Only thing you got wrong was that lorewise, no other race can actually cross-breed with Orcs, so that's why there's no half-Orcs. On the plus side, no condom and no risk of pregnancy, lets fucking go, muscle girl Orcs ftw
@@redeye4516 what about the former grand Champion in oblivion
Olso lore wise in the elder scrolls Universen all races of Man (Not counting kajit or argonian) and mer can interbreed with each other but the child will take more after the race of the mother, it could be that there are half orcs in skyrim but you would Never really know should there mothers be of other races.
@@redeye4516 You're wrong. The champion of the arena was a hybrid in oblivion. His father was a human, he ends up suicidal when you tell him his father was a vampire, but he was still pretty much an orc-human hybrid.
PC "Fuck you."
NPC "Haha! Get in here, you little rascal!"
*NO.*
*'UMIES.*
*ALLOW'D!*
So glad i chose orc in my first playthrough
I go where I please, Orc
Orc wearing Stormcloak drip, now that's pog.
My first play through was an orc and they told me i was unwelcome 😭 i was really into the role playing with that character and i was like 14, so i almost cried at that shit. That glitch hurt my heart
Being called outlander gives me Ratatouille flashbacks to Morrowind.
so wack you cant get your own stronghold as a chief. such a missed opportunity and incentive to play as an orc
Well guess I’m doing another Ork playthrough
Orc privilege
I think I've completely overlooked the orc strongholds in all of my playthroughs. Don't know if I've even been there xD
"We won't kill you outlander, but we don't want you here. Remember that."
- And you call yourself an ORC!?!
I swear I remember this game having more comments about your characters race when it first launched. I'm playing a high elf right now and nords greet me with big smiles, other elves don't mention me being an elf, an alchemist actually called me a "strapping nord" who didn't need remedies. Did they patch out the race comments, or am I just remembering games like Morrowind and Oblivion where the NPCs actually judged you on your race?
You probably ran into a bug. I get stuff like that all the time. Guards going "Speak, Elf" condescendingly, Onmund at the Mage's College being disappointed he's the only Nord apprentice when first talking to him, etc
Some of the quests bug things out, I think becoming a werewolf is one such thing that can bug it out. High Elf definitely gets the odd comment here or there normally.
Sounds like a mighty fine Waaagh to me
It's sad that you can't see the races co-exist with each other anymore
My headcanon is that if you go to a stronghold with followers as an orc, they are required to have the same face paint as you to let others know they are part of your company, if only there is a mod for that
I purge all Orc Strongholds. Skyrim is for the Nords!
"Pig-face" broooooo that got me weak
I can imagine someone playing as an orc. Doing survival mode, would you be depending on orc strongholds? That’d be a pretty cool gameplay.
I don't know this is true or not, but this one is a old for me. In my old Skyrim game in Xbox 360 I didn't get any dialog from them, even if I use any race besides Orc or Nord. I just walk past the gate and talk to one of them including the leader. They didn't say anything about me getting in the stronghold or not. The only time they stop me is to help them defending the stronghold and do their quest.
Did you do the Malacath Daedric Quest first? If so, that would probably be a reason since it counts as helping out a stronghold
Orc Character Knocks On Orc Stronghold Gate:
*Oh hey fam! Come on in! :)*
Only reason i would go to Orc's strongholds is to get Ebony Ingot's early.
The stronghold might belong to the orcs, but Skyrim belongs to the Nords!
Skyrim might belong to the Nords, but everything in it belongs to Khajiit.
no. snow elves got here first.
I was an orc but they didn’t let me in
Skyrim belongs to the Orcs
The Orcs won't recognize me as Orc-Kin, only Blood-Kin :(
orcs in skyrim got tiny communities (any race tbf) because if nords get the stink in their nose that there's some outsider on their map, they gonna be there deconstructing them. I like how beth did skyrim (mainly nords). In oblivion orcs were so annoying, they were ugly and everywhere (I totally prefer goblins over orcs, but there are no goblins in skyrim..sucks)
>I totally prefer goblins over orcs
Goblins are just dollar store clearance isle Orcs.
@@D8W2P4 oblivion goblins eat Orcs for breakfast
they have goblins in skyrim but its in the creation club
Aye watch ur mouth, coming from a orc main the only reason why orcs ain’t conquered Tamriel yet is cause the chiefs get all the orc females, it’s a tradition from Malacath
What if you possess volundrung?
wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman wise woman ...
1:00 I try to speak with the chif and he atack me
How do I get that cloak?
I've never gotten this dialogue? Either i helped an orc or they just like argonians
If you help any orc in any way outside the strongholds, they make you blood-kin
What is that armor? I like the cape
Cloaks & Capes mod
I made my orc into a little bitch for pressing the what is this place option 💀
Orc Lives Matter

Will the guard orc be women if dragornborn is women?...
different stronghold, different guard
Orc Strongholds: *Vocal supporters of the Empire who complain about the prying eyes of the Nords* *Welcome Orc into Stronghold wearing Stormcloak armor*
Promise me you didn’t choose stormcloaks.
He must of took it from their cold dead corpse, or he is a race traitor.
Such a weird thing to say about a video game. "race traitors" ah.
Meh I think Ashlanders are cooler
Racists
No, they aren't.
