Stamped Fondant Appliqué Baby Cookie

- Because my recent “underwater ephemera” cookies made such a splash (pun intended!), I decided to use the same fondant appliqué technique in this video, but apply it to a cookie of a completely different theme - a baby shower! I think you’ll see just how versatile and easy this technique can be! One technique note: whereas the background on my underwater cookie was airbrushed and stenciled, this one is rubber-stamped just like the foreground fondant elements. Enjoy!

You truly are the most brilliant, talented, well spoken, informative instructor I've ever watched/listened to.
I have watched numerous videos of yours.... and you never disappoint.
I love your attention to detail and creativity. I also appreciate you from start to finish sticking to the subject matter. There is nothing more annoying than watching a video of someone wasting several minutes of nonsense before they begin the project, or sidebar b.s. throughout the project. So many many many thanks to you for staying professional and sharing your God given talent!!!!
Christy
This is beyond cute, your imagination has no limits. Beautiful work as per usual
Another exceptional presentation. I always get excited when I see a new video up for our viewing pleasure. Thank you, Julia!

@@JuliaMUsher you don't realize how truly amazing you are with real mad skills your work is absolutely perfection so happy to make your day I truly appreciate your hard work
Your work is amazing! And you have a lot of patience😊
I so enjoy your videos. 💗
Use a credit card to move your paste evenly into the stamp pad. Try using an eraser on the polymer stamp before using it the first time. It has residual coating from the manufacturing process that needs to be worn off. I stamp greeting cards. Love your channel.
Thanks - I appreciate the eraser tip - I have tried lightly filing them, but didn't have success, so will try the eraser method. I don't think a credit card is an option for spreading the food coloring, just for sanitation reasons, and the paper towel method works just fine. So I'll probably just stick with that approach.
👏👏👏Thank you, Julia!!!👍🎉💐
You are very welcome!
Thank you, Julia 👏👏👏💋❤

Julia, you are my absolute favorite cookie decorator. I have your cookie decorating book and I read it from cover to cover. I am making a baby shower cake and this made me want to make this cookie to use as a cake topper. So so cute!
Bu the way, what kind of brushes do you use for detail painting?
Looks too pretty to eat! Great video! Thank you!
Thank YOU!
What brand and type of pasta maker are you using?
Thank you for sharing your artistry and talents. You’re an inspiration. On another subject, can you tell me how have you attached your platter to the tile? I love your kitchen. Many thanks, Toni in SoCal
Julia M Usher sorry I wasn’t more clear. I’m asking about the platter above your stove top🤔
Julia M Usher thank you. Very interesting. But aside from that I’m excited to start trying to decorate cookies. You truly are great.
Julia.. If I have fresh made marshmellow fondant, that I've cut and stenciled.. how long should I /could I keep them in a refrigerator before I would need to use them on a cookie? Would they need be covered ? Air tight container or just saran-wrap?
Hi Julia - I'm working with a friend who is starting a small custom bakery... and wants me to pre cut, and air brush the fondant, and deliver them to her on a cookie sheet. She wanted to know how long should the fondant pieces remain at room temp before they actually needed to be place on the cookie. I told her my guess was.. probably a week.
Thank you so much for all your great informative videos.. !
Thanks so much Julia. I think what she's going have me do is make marshmallow fondant from scratch. So I guess we'll have a little experimenting to do. I did catch the info when the air has more humidity..so i'm sure these factors will affect too. Thank you again.
Wow. Amazing work! I was in awe the entire time. Where can I find that cookie cutter? I would like to buy it.
Julia M Usher Thank you! I don’t know why I didn’t look there first. How embarrassing. 🤦♀️. I sent you an email, please disregard. 😊
Thank you so much Julia. I'm a big fan. And a former engineer turned cake decorator as well. Your videos are an excellent source of experience. Can I ask you about the pricing range of these cookies?
@@JuliaMUsher Thanks. I'll check it out. Have a great time :)

Girl! How much are we charging for this cookie?$?
You are so talented!
Thanks - I don't sell my cookie any more, so I have not worked up a price. You would, of course, want to account for all of your time in it.
Julia wanted to buy this palette of makes as you can ??? bjus
you make art, not food, i don't think that cookies are edible with a lot of chemicals you using for coloring cookies
