- I recently prepared this richly textured mixed media cookie for a hands-on class, and because it incorporated so many fun techniques and teaching points, I decided to turn it into a full-fledged video for you! In this video, you’ll get exposed to airbrushing, stenciling, rubber-stamping, wafer paper embellishments, royal icing roses, and more! Plus, it provides the perfect backdrop for my latest “innovation” - royal icing shards - and uses one of my favorite Prettier Plaques stencil sets - “Vintage Bon Voyage”! Happy decorating!

This was great Julia!! It reminded me of my high school French class trip my sophomore year...OMG that was 40 years ago!! I have so many fun memories and this cookie made me reminisce. I'm going to attempt something similar because I have a Paris themed stamp set. I have a French script stamp that is HUGE that I can cut down. Thanks for providing such detailed videos!! I can watch you all day!!

Thank you so much for your detailed videos! These are awesome techniques, and I can't wait to try the wafer paper techniques on cupcakes or cakes. Most of my decorations so far have been fondant, and I've been thinking of trying wafer paper for something different. This gives me a whole new medium to play with to add details! ❤️ Thank you!

Julia, I lightly wave my wafer paper through steam to assist with the malleability. It works beautifully when shaping wafer paper petals too!

Julia, you may want to try breaking up the royal icing shards by scoring around the image with a sharp tool. Also, is it possible to to break up the shards first then stamping? Just a thought.
