I just started playing Azur Lane after reading hundreds of doujins about them, now it's the time. The problem I am facing now is whether I stick to grinding and play for free or just buy everything with my hard earned money....
Welcome to azur lane! If you do decide to stick with it, i reccomend just getting the monthly trade license, as it gets you the most bang for your buck. Otherwise, the game is still very accessible without paying a cent, it all depends on you

Food consumption depends on the number of ships in the dorm. So having 1 ship in the dorm will consume food at the same rate, no matter how many slots are unlocked and unused. Having more slots just allows you to put more ships into the dorm at once, which will increase food consumption. Hope that helps!
f2p will only get 4 slots in first floor, it doesn't mean playing it also means you don't want spend on gems, its better spend gems expanding your dock

You just get them over time. The vast majority of them are from commissions that you send your ships out for though. As long as you do comissions consistently you will eventually have more dorm tokens than you need. Good luck!
I read this wrong lmao. Thought u said tokens not consumables. Anyways theyre mostly from farming maps( some gives crappy food when u clear it) , buying curry when you have excess oil(this ones huge), buying food from event and monthly medal shops, and possibly other things iv missed.
@@icetaylor Except Northern Parliament ships :P Checked them all again, and effectively speaking 3 are obtainable (2x for 8000 Merit and 1x from endless grind in the War Archive), plus kind of Chkalov in PR5, but she obviously needs tons of other ships first. Still, a fun game. I was kind of able to make a pseudo-zombie fleet with Kaga, Phoenix, Downes and Cassin. Need three vanguards for Kaga to survive the boss fight in 3-4 even at 3800 hp
Ahh my apologies,I mean I can put 3 characters in my dorm and the happiness is 346,and I was trying to buy the manufacturers to get more happiness but they only give me +2 happiness for each of manufacturers
u dont need to stay in the dorm actually. If your ships get a dorm token speech bubble, u will get a little "!" to notify you. Theres also other methods of getting tokens like comissions and dailies :D
@@balbinrichard0142 gems are hard to come by for free, theyre basically only from some urgent commissions that have a chance to drop gems, but those r very rare. Other than that, a few hard mode 3* missions can give some, and then finally some maintinence/apologems or special handouts from the devs will land you gems.

You need to open 5 slots on “Train” one so you can access the second floor

From daily/weekly food refill missions, aswell as comissions and the little speech bubble of ships in the dorm :D thanks for the question
You can also get them from commissions, I reccomend doing a few stages so you can get limited commissions, some of them give 12-16 decor tokens.
