3:03 anecdotal addition: It is always good to choose the 2h or 4h Q-variants over the 1h. I've almost never gotten rainbow-tier equipment parts in the 1h ones. I personally only take those if all my other options need coins, just to use it as a page refresh more than anything else, since I already have caught up to almost all ship research and need only equip parts and not ship parts.
I always been too cautious in using cubes for research; I only started using cubes recently and only because I have now over 1500 wisdom cubes... but before? never; I'd rather having less copies of some UR equip than having to wait 2-3 years for an event rerun because I didn't had the cubes to pull for it :V
I get you, but 1500 is a bit overboard.. 400 is almost guaranteed to get all ships (around 98% chance if I remember correctly) and I don't think I've ever gone over 600 in a single event, even the most unlucky ones, so I think there isn't any reason to store over 800 cubes. The extra bit is considering that even after being unlucky, you would still have to prepare for the next event.
@@Homiloko2 Well I finished last PR season with having enough blueprints for all Fate Sim 5, all ships, by picking cube-costing research approximately less than 10 times in a year, and I could probably not have done that at all. And since my ship collection is 100% (besides the the PR7 ships that are still in develop) I don't really have anything to spend my cubes on, even if I wanted to.
@@AlyssaMcNeil I think the point of cube researching is for people who want to get the ships quickly and then go back to researching equipment. Only the equipment is important because everyone finishes the ships eventually, but you can get multiple copies of equipment. Personally I wouldn't recommend any ship-focused research unless it's using cubes to finish quickly, or has the face of one or two particular ships you chose for that season.
Just like to say, this tutorial-type series of videos you've been making recently has been really helpful. I feel like a lot of AL info out there is outdated, and frankly kinda bad sometimes...Even as someone who has been playing fairly regularly basically since NA release, I still end up learning new things. I appreciate the clear and concise info!
I follow the pattern: 30min > 1h > 2h > 1h30min > 2h30min > 4h ch. clear if all else fails. Priority on spending is materials > gold > cubes. Priority on farming should always be the useful purple plate, then PR ships (you don't need 3 Hindenburg guns, but you want a lot of Plymouth guns for example). Remember that you can craft some purple equipment in the lab so there's no need to farm for it in Research Academy.
lol i always pick the shortest Q and G research the 1 hour and 2:30 hour research and turns out the best ones are the longest also never took the clear x chapter research
Bruh casually had 8 Plymouth gun. I'm currently focusing on Plymouth gun, only had 2 so far lmao, so this video definitely helps, good thing I already finished all PR and DR ships (and ready to FS5 too).
Damn, I'm glad that's already mostly what I do. Thank you for the reaffirmation. What ship(hull and faction)/equipment would you be excited for in the new PR? I personally would love an extremely fast, non stopping CL gun with low fp but very high AA that shreds shields. Like the IJN DD UR gun on steroids. It may give even more utility to those poor CLs.
Always wondered, does the type of plates requested as price matter for the blueprints I'll receive? E.g., will a research that asks for main gun parts likely give more weapon blueprints? I assume that is all unrelated and random, but it would be cool if it wasn't.
I only focus on getting 2 peices of the PR gear. after that i focus on ships, taking face reserch priotizing one ship at a time. starting with either the one the i like the most or has the highes rarity.
I only take rigging analysis I don't have excess cubes and mostly stuck at collecting exp I'm still building roon it's been 1half year I don't have lot of iron blood it make stuck
Holy cow, 🐮 I was wondering who would pop up on my news feed to give me more ideas and tips on going about the UR gears. I haven’t seen kimo cheese or I forgot the other dude name nyugent but it something like that down the line but I got it wrong. lol those two I saw there video but it outdate or old. Now seeing this video it give me an idea but I still failed lol. I only got one of the ur cl gun. But dude got three of the new gun while I have like about 36 of the UR print. Yes, I do like to test out what be more faster to get the UR ship.. but I been hitting them one hour ones constantly trying to skip and hopefully run into ur print my main priority I do want is gettin the UR print for guns but I haven’t been getting any successful. I remember I getting double back to back 30 min but it was gold but not the 30 min UR ones. But I do hope to see more changes but I do want see which one help me getting a better chance for me to get the 30 min. Gold or UR .

these last couple of UR events have drained my cubes dry T.T
you must have gotten lucky with the last two UR events, soyuz and alsace made me go to pity for both of them

I always build ships first; if I get equipment on the way, I'm happy. Once ships are done, then I focus on equipment.
I must be cursed because I just can't get PR gear to drop. I do it pretty much exactly how you do it, too.
Same here.
having them slowly added to the gear lab saved me lol
I did every types of projects for 3 weeks in PR4 for Prototype Tenrai. And haven't got a single one dropped. Total zero. I gave up on that plane. 😢
IME the part count only increases when you stop looking at it.
It's not just you.

this is the day that i fully understand equipment/ship research, thank you
Thanks for the detailed breakdown, you're fast becoming the best resource for players.
Thanks for this tips man, Azur Lane Discord are shit on their recommendations and wouldn't explain it properly
After 2 years of farming Plymouth gun I only have 4 from research lmfao. I hate my life :D
lol i always pick the shortest Q and G research the 1 hour and 2:30 hour research and turns out the best ones are the longest
also never took the clear x chapter research

7?? Count again

I used to have that superstition but no
When you are focused on equipment, would you still take a 0.5 hour face mission if you already finished (FS5) that DR/PR ship for the prototype cores?
0.5 face also gives equip so definitely yes
As an end-game player, what are you spending gold on?
cats and gear skin boxes
Does finishing PR ships, increase the rate of gear projects for that season? Or is the ratio of gear to ship projects still the same?
same
Do you take projects that are not part of your research focus if they are good or offer something you want?
only if its something i want long term for example a 30 minute pr5 rigging when i'm focusing pr6
I only focus on getting 2 peices of the PR gear. after that i focus on ships, taking face reserch priotizing one ship at a time. starting with either the one the i like the most or has the highes rarity.
Thanks for the tips. I guess this is a calling for me to get out of resource management mode. I can spare the gold and cubes.
I only take rigging analysis I don't have excess cubes and mostly stuck at collecting exp I'm still building roon it's been 1half year I don't have lot of iron blood it make stuck
Manu thanks, you seem to have better drops than me, so time to adjust strategy.
Bruh i always went with the one with longest time needed
you guys have 5 UR gun? i only have 3 😂😂😂
