you don't understand how ceratec works. ceratec is a metal treatment not an oil treatment. it uses plain mineral oil solely for the purpose of mixing with the engine oil. when your engine heats up the ceramic compounds anneal the metal engine parts making them smoother. that's why it continues to work after an oil change.
Ceratec has duel protect, its not only a friction modifier, but also a solid lubricant!
hard to tell whether it is the Ceratec or 200km of heating and cooling. Neither way, that is not what Ceratec is for. Consider it as an paint protection film for engine mechanism, ideally it should not change any oil behavior. But in this particular case it does, might be the weight it added to the oil, maybe thinner, maybe more slippery, maybe it's bad, maybe it is an extra effects, who knows.
useless test anyway , if runiing oil down a styrofoam plate is representative for what happens inside an engine :S

I assume this guy misunderstood how Ceratec (its particles) works. Any nano lubricants especially when stated Mos²/WS² is not an oil additives. They are specifically engineered as a friction modifier/metal friction treatment. Such additives will not interfere with the viscosity of Engine Oil. And this kind of additives requires some running-in time or a "settling-period" to be fully utilize in a running engines. That mean it needs some miles on the wheels.
Plus, i saw your method of heating up oil in a glass tube till its boiled. And directly from that you just state your rough conclusions. I get it that you can get the small picture from the test however the environment youre testing is a failure. Different atmosphere, no pressure affects, ambient is wrong since youre doing it in the open. Radid cooling of oil does make a big changes towards oil.
Im just saying, maybe you could improvise your method of testings. Replicate the environment inside a running engine as close as possible. However this would cost u lots of money for the tools and equipment required.

I think your test (or other similar tests) is not good because you dont measure the exact quantity od oil you put in to test.
If you put a little bit more oil it will go down faster because of the gravity...
Pero eso es una huevada, ambos son atraídos por la gravedad, todo llega al fondo del motor... Alguno antes que el otro perp tarde o temprano pasa.. Sino tendrías q arrancar el motor cada x tiempo para que no se te "descargué"

The used oil shows viscosity breakdown. It isn't good that it flows faster. It just means that it doesn't cling to parts that need to be lubricated and allows more metal to metal contact and wear.
I knew someone had pointed this fact out.
The viscosity is not broken here! The used Castrol mixed with Ceratec is providing better engine protection! For many and many reasons!

Although I don't agree with this test approach (simply because any car oil test must be done in an environment where it's designed to work in), but the right side used Castrol oil has no broken viscosity. One of the most basic function of any oil is the ability to flow well and lubricate parts, and deeply go inside all Mechanical parts under different operating conditions. The ability to flow can be v well seen in the used Castrol oil that is mixed with Ceratec additive. The left side new Castrol seem to be thicker, won't provide the desired lubrication at all levels and all working conditions. Best regards.

Самый странный тест который можно найти. Свежее масло и немного использованное с присадкой имеют разную текучесть и что???? Ну к примеру свежее и использованное без присадки тоже будет иметь определённую разницу в текучести, но что из этого?
This test clearly demonstrates your complete lack of knowledge on this subject. Ceratec is NOT a viscosity booster, as are most other oil additives. It is more of a friction modifier. How much is Motul paying you to always use their oil on your videos or is it more of a free oil deal?

i just don't see how is this measurement linked to how this oil handles the engine at the pressure and temperature while running ... How exactly does the fact that one flows faster than the other at room pressure and temperature help me ?

Nic nigdzie o żadnym limicie rpm, jak w przypadku Ceramizera nie znalazłem. Ja używam i używałem mój samochód po zalaniu Cerateca normalnie.
Jeśli Twój silnik spala olej, to przeciążanie go wysokimi obrotami, w przypadku stosowania dodatków do oleju w pierwszych kilometrach nie jest wskazane. Dlaczego? Można się ich bardzo szybko pozbyć z oleju, zanim w ogóle zaczną działać.

not too sure about "Viscosity", but it's goal is to reduce friction. Viscosity will probably increase but engines can take multiple viscosity of oil in general, so adding part ceratec won't drastically increase the viscosity to the point where engine struggles to run through it.

Hey pytanie 1 raz w rzyciu zalalem cerateka do 5w40 i ostatnio sprawdziłem stan przy zerowej temp na zimnym silniku i sie zdziwiłem bo olej strasznie rzadki był. Czy ceratek może tak rozcieńczyć olej ?
Z analiz jak udało mi się znaleźć w sieci to ceratec w każdym przypadku zagęszczał olej. Proszę sprawdzić czy olej nie zapachu paliwa i czy może nie ubywa płynu z chłodnicy? Bo to może być powodem rozrzedzenia oleju.

It is useful because it demonstrates how ceratec product reduces friction of engine mechanical components. Less friction more better engine life.

If you think you need data to see how an engine works then it's your problem. For me you can also put the sand inside the engine.

Myślę czy przy nastepnej wymianie zmienić gm 10w40 na valvolina, lm, czy motula. Czy np lm z mos2 czy do innego dolac cerateca ciekawe co lepsze.

Zwykle jest tak że ludzie stosują oleje 10W40 z jednego głównego powodu - chcą aby ich silnik pracował cieszej. Jeśli chodzi o oleje 10W40, numerem jeden jest olej Motul 6100 Synergie+ 10W40 (mówimy o wyciszeniu silnika). Jeśli będzie nam mało (apetyt rośnie w miarę jedzenia) warto zastosować ceratec'a:-)
To w jak skutecznie dany olej chroni silnik, można zobaczyć na moich testach tarcia - dzisiaj będzię opublikowany test Liqui Moly 10W40 MoS2 - sprawdzimy jak MoS2 wpływa na ochronę silnika, przed powstawaniem rys.

I wouldn't use Liquimoly in your M car. It'll work but for the same price you can get an oil the doesn't need additives. Castrol or Motul are the better choices.

Nie podał Pa żadnych informacji na temat silnika, więc podaje oleje do typowych dieseli wymagajacych normy VW507: Fuchs Titan GT1 PRo C3 5W30, Total Ineo Longlife 5W30, Red Line Euro series 5W30.

Хочу вас огорчить. За 700 км. масло очень сильно потеряло в своей вязкости, т.е. стало более жидким и уже не отвечает заявленным свойствам производителя. Как правило это говорит, что двигатель в очень плохом состоянии, или топливо попало в масло, или присадка просто "убило" масло
То есть, теперь мне надо срочно сливать масло?Ведь я проехал на LM syntoil ht 5w-40 + ceratec,уже больше 3-х тысяч км....:-(

He means, more slipperiness not necessarily mean more engine protection.
He maybe meant that clear water would flow even better than any engine oil available, but this doesn't mean water lubricates better engines than engine oils do. By the way I use Ceratec for years and I think it's great.
