    It probably hit a Duster with it so high up. You don’t see Mk4 Golfs anymore so it’s nice to see this old girl surviving! It was a really nice thing for you to do fella, great job and great video.

    Well done for getting it back on the road. Not sure her saying she is now going to sell it and get electric car was the best thankyou for all your hard work ;-) The one good thing about modern cars is unbolting the whole slam panel section. That car should, as you say go on another 15 years or so. Perfect for city use with all the parking dings it will get and battle scars. Does she have to get any official inspection to allow it back on road or are rules not that strict? Nice finding the 144 round the corner and in such great condition.

    • @Involvod
      @Involvod  2 роки тому +2

      Haha she was super happy and thanked us loads, I didn't capture that. It's great isn't it, downside is having to do all that for a radiator swap on some cars.
      I'm not too sure about the insurance side, especially here, I'm hoping I never have to deal with it 😅 And thanks!

    • @sebastianbrrrr7372
      @sebastianbrrrr7372 2 роки тому +2

      Actually no, there's no official record of the damage other than the insurance claim if there is one. So once the car is fixed you're free to use it as long as it's roadworthy. When it passes a cursory glance from the police and the next TÜV-inspection, you're fine.

    Cool to see the 67-72 144!
    They are quite rare even here in California.
    I know there is another person in the Bay Area (ua-cam.com/users/MakeitOnce) and I'd wager we are pretty unusual with having first series 140 cars.

      She should not sell that Golf.
      60.000km is barely run in! The clutch, suspension parts, brakes, everything has only done 60.000km max.
      With the exterior and paint and because it's an older model it will never get a decent trade-in value. Best thing to do with the Golf is to run it to about 150.000km or the first really expensive repair, which ever comes first. Then trade it in.

    60000 km...:) Sure, bro. Thats why you should run away when they advertise a car with a female owner. Great video and a nice little Golf. Are you in Germany (because of the number plate)? Your accent is native you are not german are you? Those tires look miniature on the Golf, 14 inch? I love mk 4 Golfs thanks for the video

    I caught this video today. To my surprise, a MK4 VW! Thanks! My daily is a MK4 Bora TDI stick estate and all of this is relevant for me. Glad to see it. When I am not working on my Dad's 740T wagon (= 745 as I notice Elsa is also notated as such), I am working on my 2002 Bora! (I must have a thing for wagons/estates) Nice work for the young family. I had no idea the front clip was so modular, good to know as I have to replaced headlights and grill soon. Thanks again!
