I love Jordan but meaning is not enough unless it’s God-derived. When I was a depressed addict, the prospect of being sober so I can take on responsibility was not motivating at all. I would have preferred to maintaining status quo no matter how miserable I was as long as I could get loaded every night. Knowing there is a God that demands more from me and repenting and believing in Jesus is what finally changed my life.
I don’t know all the circumstances in your life but could it be that having someone that demanded more of you that you could put in your faith in was what turned things around for you? It didn’t necessarily have to be God?

Truth above all things
Meaning is actually the antidote to something far more gruesome than mere suffering.

(FACTS OVA FEELINGS) Wen someone suffers at the hands of someone who is stuck in their own Narcissistic Bubble reality they often make the choice to establish a sense of power and safety and control by creating their own Narcissistic Bubble reality this way they feel like they r no longer at the mercy of anyone but by doing so they r unaware that they r simply becoming the same az the very person who hurt them
Meaning and purpose emerge simultaneously, as the dual aspects of existential manifestation. To define one aspect without the other can only be misleading. JBP has explained the subject of meaning and purpose much more clearly and completely in other presentations than he did in this video.
As things interact, the degree to which those interactions are harmonious and resonant determines the degree to which a greater level of existential organization is formed, by those interactions, into a unified whole, and, thereby, better guiding those things as parts of the unified whole. And the same principle applies to the lesser levels of existential organization forming each of the parts and the greater levels of existential organization formed, in part, by the unified whole. That principle of duality of purpose and meaning that echoes from within and from without every level of existential organization is God.

What about suffering with anxiety? Seems like meaning doesn’t fix that issue.

Yes, we have a soul. There's many reasons why I say that. Two quick but good examples would be how identical twins don't have identical personalities, which means our personalities are more than just genetics, and another example would be how antidepressant drugs don't always work, which once again proves we are more than just chemical imbalances.
My mother is an identical twin. The personality was the same, until her sister became schizophrenic. If you know psychology, well, they would both be prone to it. But, it doesn't always surface. Well she smoked a lot of pot, was raped, etc. Which is quite interesting. It tells me genetics is right, The science is right. As for any drug like anti-depressants. I used to take them. None worked. Everyone has a different chemical makeup. Right. So, such assumptions can be dismissed in this sense, and is why no one is discussing it.
I rarely see people with a purer soul than Dr. Peterson. May God protect him, guide him and bless him. Him, his family, his parents, and all of us. Amen
Humanity’s limited understanding differs from God’s. There is God’s infinity and mere mortal men’s understanding of what infinity is or how we perceive it to be. Almighty God is the greatest mathematician. He is infinite as math/patterns. We are math and surrounded by math/patterns in everything and everyone. It’s both simple yet complicated. Who could not know the meaning of their suffering.. maybe they just think they’ve suffered??
Please enlighten me on the meaning behind the suffering due to having a progressive, extremely painful, debilitating disease. As a result I've lost my marriage, home, career, and ability to do most of the things in life that I enjoy. Please help me see the meaning in this suffering, because I sure as hell don't.
@@Getitonwhenucan u know the circumstances of your suffering.. my suffering was due to my husband committing suicide.. That’s what I meant by that.. This disease it’s what’s causing your suffering.. just have faith in God cuz after a period of suffering, a blessing occurs.. I’m going to pray to God to ease your suffering and heal your broken heart.. for the Bible says.. God is close to the broken-hearted and heals those crushed in spirit.. I’m so sorry about your circumstances, but relief is coming.. I promise..
