- In this After Effects tutorial, create abstract particles and titles. We are using the plugin trapcode particular from Red Giant. There are many uses for creating a particle sequence. Perhaps you are looking to create trailer titles or design visually pleasing graphics. Using particles is a great way to make your work stand out!

HI, at 4:57 when i`m change the "emit" for countiniously my animation becomes full of colours and i can`t change it or when i`m change "life per seconds" on 3.0 it becomes red (5:22) also later i can`t change the colour

Hey everyone just wanted to provide a very very helpful tip that will negate the live rendering issue he is experiencing. At the bottom of particular in the effects window, you can see an option for rendering. If you open that and change the acceleration to "GPU" and the particle rendering to "Direct" the live rendering and previewing will be 10x faster now. It makes a huuuuge difference.

Trapcode changed the interface. The Aux Master settings are now somewhere in the "Designer". This makes it very hard to replicate your results. Could you update the tutorial, please.

Thank you but do you know by any chance how you can slow down particles? Not the emitter rate but the way the particles flow? Mine go a bit too fast for my liking and I dont want to pre compose and use time since im going to also be animating the particles with x rotations and such.

error particle in this mode lights are used as particle emitters.
only lights whose names start with emitter are used create light with layer new light.
to change the name use the choose names buttin in the emitter section.??

When I adjust the positioning of the light I don't get any bezier curve like you did and it's really effecting the particle emission to hard/straight angles. Did you hold a key when dragging or something to get the rounded effect to the points?
make sure is a light and not a camera i f*ck up and put a camera!

You right click on the keyframe and go into keyframe interpolation and for the spatial interpolation you click on auto bezier
What is the name of the particles in the Intro?

Can you tell me, what the composition settings in your project, please?
I followed this tutorial and am getting about 1 frame per several seconds. It makes it impossible to work. I have an i7 8700k, 64GB RAM, 1080ti, and several Samsung 970 Pro m.2 SSDs. How is it that you are able to do this? Is there a secret to getting better performance? Outside of turning particles down per second, nothing I am trying is making this workable.
I feel your pain. Same here with any of these type of motion graphics. At a certain point its more like baking the most elaborate cake, following all the measurements to the T and then just sitting in front of the overheating computer for 40 min
