In this tutorial, we'll cover how to create a rough 3D particle grid using CC Ball Action to create abstract particle designs, futuristic particle screens, and more. You can use this technique on textures, footage, and even text layers to create interesting designs without the need of expensive 3rd party plugins. This solution isn't perfect, but can definitely produce interesting results using native After Effects plugins.

Hi, Can this effect be achieved by using a 3d building model or a 3d map? or is this limited to only an image, like the one you've used here?
