After watching the top 5 elimination on X Factor last week, I was inspired to recreate this hairstyle that Nicole Scherzinger sported on the show. Honestly, I was shocked at the results because I really thought Rachel was going to win. I think Nicole thought that too.. oh snap! Anyways, I think this ponytail is fun and edgy and definitely gives you that rocker chick look. Hope you enjoy this video. ^_^

@MsAzianpride I think this will work on medium hair. Instead of gathering all your hair to a ponytail, just take half and create a half up, half down hairstyle. :)

thank you! this is so cute and easy to do. i could never french braid my whole head but i can easily braid that small area. its a great alternative and much cuter than a normal "frenchie". this hairstyle is also a great look for a more mature look... sometimes i feel like a regular french braid looks too young/childish on adults over 25 yrs old lol. thanks again!

I think it looks edgier without the bangs, like perfect for a night out, and when you wear it with bangs it makes it girlier and more feminine, ideal for this season events :3 I'm definetely trying it out

@Sabbypotter7 Yes, I think straight hair makes it look more sleek. So if you have to, straighten your hair first with a flat iron. :)

You have to straighten your hair with a curling iron first. It makes french braiding a lot easier. :)
And you do all this with bangs!! my god you are amazing!!

OMG I just tried it and it worked. By the third strand of the braid i was swearing and ready to give up...but I kept going and kept calm and it worked.
