Robert Plant is such an amazing musician. The World was so enamored with Led Zeppelin that fans wouldn't give Robert a fair chance to really listen to what he is doing in the present. He does so much eclectic ideas and soul with his music and its brilliant. He writes great songs.

Listening to Robert, you realize how intelligent and well travelled artists used to be. He was using words I've never even heard before, and even regular discussions paint landscapes. Listen to your typical singer today and half each sentence consists of "like" and "'n stuff...".

@@MatClassics : right! I can't follow Robert in so much of this discussion with half finished thoughts and sentences and "you know," "like" and "stuff." Don't know where the other posters got their ideas. But you can tell Plant is well-traveled and probaby well-read.

Robert Plant is an intelligent guy. Far more knowledgable than anyone that has ever interviewed him. He was politely schooling Tom Power on some points about music. I met Robert. He is a gentleman and very sharp. After all that he has been through, it's still nice to see that he is well informed about the state of the world, politics and music and still has a good sense of humour. Very wise indeed!

Robert Plant is one of those very few musicians who could live outside the shadow of their past... It is not easy to be noticed as an individual when one has been in the greatest rock band in history... The other person i can think of is George Harisson.... RP not only made a place for himself but he constantly broke the boundaries... He has added new musical styles to his repertoire. This is most important...

I had a dream about a month ago that I was hanging out with him in downtown St. Louis Mo. and we were trying to get someplace in an old car. Never got there but the dream was so cool! It was a treat! I wish I could have just one piece of his jewelry from the '70s. I never tire of Led Zeppelin btw. It's not the only band I love, but it's in the top 5 for sure! I realize that life goes on. I'm not the same person I was 30 yrs. ago either, but I hope he realizes how many of us still love Led Zeppelin and he appreciates the impact he and the band have had on so many lives. Music is what brings memories to mind and it takes you back or takes you on a trip every time you listen to it.

q way to go ~A cool surprise to see this interview ~ last time I was this close it was Man-Pop the old winnipeg arena with a rainstorm outside...I was an arm's length from the stage, Robert was wearing a silver-sequined purple leather vest over a shirtless bod.....truly magnificent performance, stunning actually ~

I absolutely loooove Carry fire...Brilliant songs...Great music...so diverse..You have made it as bright and sparkly as possible Robert...oh no lay down in sweet surrender...got me well horned up..lol...When you talk about Morrocco. It makes me want to go there. I envy your travels..I wish i could have travelled more...Morocco sounds just amazing...I agree , a simple life is better. Materialistic world we live in. Its a sick toxic society. We grew up in a different world..Lol West Brom Foff...lol...Love a footy song...Awwe Rob you still play footy...Good for you..being at home and grounded. Can't beat it. Thanks for all your decades of amazing music...Carry fire i am a tad obsessed with at the mo...❤❤❤

Robert started talking about how if he did everything the same he'd be in a successful band. Then says that is why he is playing at the farmer's market in a moment. lol The interviewer just missed a great opportunity to get into Robert's mind. Robert at that point is putting information out there about how he really feels about his music, his life, his career and the interviewer is just too worried about showing Robert a performance of Heart doing Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center honors. It's kind of a shame. To which he replied what has happened to everything and how much was lost. I think a lot of us are tired of the idol worship and are more interested in the person.

A public figure is exactly that whether they're a singer, actor, politician etc etc. I literally cringe when I see any member of the public unwilling to see beyond an individuals public persona/role and treat them as if they were the character they portray. YES, PLEASE lets start seeing the REAL person behind the facade. Joining the real world in this sense isn't really that hard to do.
