What a wonderful gift it is to have Jimmy Page explain his life and music. I am sitting in my home office, which is a Led Zeppelin shrine. I even have a Jimmy Page signed Led Zeppelin IV 3 foot x 2 feet serigraph of the album in museum glass, plus a photo of Jimmy signing it.

Clowns will ask "Gee why hasn't Jimmy Page done anything lately???" The guy will be EIGHTY FRIGGIN' years old in January for Chr!st's sake. Going back 60 years with The Yardbirds, some little-known and obsure band called Led Zeppelin, the Firm, solo records and collaborations. He's done enough and his career and music contributions speak for itself...

Interesting interview. I've read quite a bit about Page and it was enlightening to hear his creative process. He responded well to Koons, even though Koons appeared (to me, at lease) to make comments and formulate questions that were a bit nonsensical and obtuse. If you want to read more about Page - read the Brad Tolinski book; it gets technical (and I am not a musician so I glossed over some of that) but it also did a deep dive into Jimmy and how he works. As an artist (I spent a long time on the styling end of fashion and now paint and work as an amateur photographer) I always want to hear how people get to their end goals. Thank you so much for this opportunity to listen to Jimmy Page explain more of his genius.

A decade and a half ago I was living just outside Asheville NC and working in a big red double decker coffee bus parked in a courtyard. I played a lot of White Stripes and of course, Zeppelin. Physical Graffiti was a favorite. Imagine silent downtown streets covered in snow with Physical Graffiti booming from a big red coffee bus. I was in a big Zeppelin period because of course I was. I was living in Hobbiton.

Not just Jimmy Page, but Led Zeppelin as a whole were the driving force and inspiration for bands such as Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Bad Company, Foo Fighters, Guns n Roses, Heart, Iron Maiden, Japan, Metallica, Nirvana, Queen, Van Halen, White Stripes and many more bands and singers. Watch the UK Hall of Fame 2006 video from UA-cam to know how these bands perceived Led Zeppelin.

He absolutely is. He was the leader and visionary that formed the band. He was the main songwriter and also the producer.
John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and John Bonham were all spectacular musicians and definitely deserve a lot of credit for their contributions.
Jimmy Page is something else, and Led Zeppelin was really his band.

Right off the bat, that interviewer is a tiny man. I met Jimmy and he is a very small man. I'm 6'1" and towered over the guy. To see someone stand next to him and look petite is pretty amusing. I'm not size shaming, just sayin'. I've met so many of my rock star heroes and they are, almost invariably, much smaller than expected. Jimmy could not have been nicer.

Sadly such a great musician as Jimmy Page- seemingly uses most of his time reissuing Led Zepping music, videos and of course his books. But, no new music??- one can understand that perhaps it is possible to understand that he cannot top himself, but I think what would be great is a Jimmy Page and friends tour, with an all star cast of rock and blues musicians, performing in smaller and larger music halls, Jimmy- just play your guitar, unless you can't due to health problems?

Im the guy who scratched Jimmy Pages guitar while doing work at his house in 2016/17, wasnt even my fault - he was on something and trying to have me hold his guitar and let go before my hands were there, i caught it but the bottom swung and hit other guitar and scratched it. The guy he talks about in interviews that is supposed to have ducked him and he can't find him - thats me, only i didn't duck him and he's been fucking with me the whole time. He could have filed an ins claim even tho it wasn't my fault but wants me to pay. He has half way stalked me ever since calling all my employers, random messages here and there. He flips between he is sorry and I owe him a million dollars for his guitar. He has baically ruined my life over it.
