Takeaways for me today get 8 hours of sleep and have a proper eating routine. That's some serious business. I'm hooked on your videos. Please keep making more

    I stopped eating anything past noon and this is the best ive ever felt. I strongly believe food hangovers are a real thing. Alcohol gives you headaches, food gives you a lethargic state in the mornings

    As someone with a delayed circadian rhythm, shifting to an evening shift is the best thing I have ever done. I don’t need as much sleep and my energy levels have skyrocketed. Just showing up to work and leaving an hour later was life changing for me. Circadian rhythms are important to respect.

    You are not lazy.. its too much cortisol in the bloodstream and also too much adrenaline.. which causes adrenaline fatigue over time.. too much screen time and constantly being exposed to negativity or too much of the news eventually starts to affect the brain and body... alarming the body that there is a threat and it will stay in fight or flight defenses still it feels clear that everything is okay..

    I got a grounding sheet for muscle pain 4 years ago and notice a difference within weeks. It helps for sure! I often thought is it just a placebo although on 2 occassions after washing it i forgot to hook it back up. The pain returned. Hooked it back up and back to better within a few days. I did IF for a couple years. It helped regulate my eating cycle as in I wasn't eating whatever whenever but it didn't help me lose weight. Junk food isn't healthy to eat everyday and not even often or every so often. I just follow common sense stuff like don't eat past bed time. Get enough protein. I think we nibble a lot more and consume more calories than we mean to when we free feed ourselves round the clock and that contributes to weight gain and feeling like crap. Then we always reach for the stuff with more carbs and sugar. Fasting for 18 hrs isn't good for most women. Certain cycle points demand more calories and an increase in a macronutrient like carbs. That makes it difficult to stick to an 18 hr fast and there's really no point in forcing yourself to. Since my cycle affects my sleep no matter what, IF is a moot point.
    When do I have more energy? When I'm not stressed. When I'm not constantly worrying. When I'm in a clean environment. All of those things can have an impact on appetite and portion control. Does IF also make a difference when you have seasonal depression? No, but vitamin D does.
    Some people say this isn't even IF but like I said, I just stick to those basics I mentioned.

    Be careful with fasting. I did IF for a long time but I kept gaining weight and in the meantime I've got insufficient in nutrients and became anemic for over a year and had to get iv's with iron and vitamins, the next step woul've been blood transfusions. With help of a doctor and diatrician we figured out that the cause was intermittent fasting and skipping meals. I was having lunch and diner. Now I have to eat 3 healthy meals a day and 3 healthy snacks (100 kcal each) and my bloodworks come back fine and i've lost weight. So in my opinion fasting isn't persé a healthy way of living.

    That mouse experiment is misleading. It's implied they ate the same amount of food when in reality they had free *access* to food whenever they want vs an 8 hour window. OF COURSE the mouse that had 24 access to the same amount of food gained weight. 8 hour mouse would get full and couldn't eat as much whereas the other had more time to digest and keep eating. If they ate the exact same amount of food on these schedules you would see absolutely zero difference. A sleep cycle doesn't change the laws of thermodynamics. That experiment was used and worded that way to support their claim.

    hot shower drops body temperature? 11:25

    • @jkai17
      @jkai17 Рік тому +2

      I was confused as well but this is what I found:
      The human body naturally decreases its temperature to prepare for sleep, and this is part of the circadian rhythm. Therefore, adjusting your body temperature can aid in improving sleep quality.
      Contrary to what you might think, taking a warm bath or shower can actually be more effective in lowering your body temperature for sleep. Here's why: when you step out of a warm shower, the water on your skin evaporates, which cools your body down. Furthermore, the warm water of the bath or shower expands your blood vessels, a process called vasodilation, which helps dissipate heat from your body to the environment, thereby lowering your core body temperature.
      On the other hand, a cold shower could have the opposite effect. The cold can cause your body to generate heat to maintain its normal body temperature, which could lead to an increase in your core body temperature. However, people's reactions to temperature can vary and a cold shower might still have a cooling effect for some people.
      Remember, it's suggested to not take a shower immediately before bed as it might be too stimulating. Try to take a warm shower 1-2 hours before bed for the best results.

    Two problems. #1. I'm not a mouse. If their isn't robust human studies backing the claim, it means zero. #2. If you eat late, you're simply eating more calories. Calories in/calories out (CICO) drives weight loss in EVERY diet (Keto, Adkins, Intermittent fasting, etc.). If I only ate at 1AM every day I would not gain lbs or get diseases from the timing.
