    Mike, I know I've already commented on this video, but I just have to tell you I spent 20 minutes listening to a podcast you were on with Jack Howard The Everyday Hair Colorist from July. I have a whole new respect for what you do. Your passion for education came thru on that podcast. I hope all your followers listen to it. I was going to comment in some of your prior videos that it would be interesting to find out "What is the story everyone.....about Mike DeCanter". This podcast answered a lot of those questions. Thanks for the time you take to educate us. I can only see your subscriber numbers growing exponentially!

    Mike, another great product review video!!! Have to tell you since watching your videos I've decided to learn some irish vocabulary/ slang. I speak Japanese, studied Latin, Spanish, Italian and French in College, but I thing nothing compares to your Irish phrases/ slang!! My new catch phase for everything bad now is "hape of dirt". But only it sounds right with the accent!

    I moved to the UK and my scalp has usually been very oily, but I had to switch my shampoo to a nourishing one bc my scalp actually got super sensitised and itchy....I really liked the yougee nourishing shampoo but finished the bottle quickly; so naturally I bought this garnier shampoo and it's super gentle but doesn't do much for my hair :(( I suppose largely because I have dry ends and sensitive oily scalp

    I tried the banana shampoo and conditioner and they were terrible for my hair. I like the mask tho, not as a deep conditioning mask because it is not, but it is ok as an everyday conditioner and leave-in. The smell is so good and that's the only reason why I keep on re-buying the banana mask only.

    I used the Botanic Therapy from Garnier. It was amazing. I used the one with coconut milk and it leaves your hair so smooth and silky😍😍😍😍😍😍

    I tried this, wanted to love it. (We have very hard water here. I use a shower filter and it doesn’t help much.)
    My scalp was so itchy after using this it drove me nuts! I think it was the very hard water plus the sulfates 😞

    I used the banana hair mask for about 2 years and my hair grew so fast. Haven't tried the shampoo and conditioner though just because I use salon products the last years. Nice review thank you 🌹

    Hi Mike, love your technical and detailed reviews! I have bought some of the Kerastase products that you have recommended. I notice they have silicones (shampoo, conditioner and blow-dry milk), so would love to hear your thoughts on this. I’m new to all these and it would be great to learn more about the good/ bad ingredients in haircare. Appreciate it, thanks! :)

    • @MikeDeCanter
      @MikeDeCanter  3 роки тому +4

      hey Jasmine ! Yes 90 % of haircare contains some sort of silicone. Im going to touch on that in tomorrows video , make sure to check it out. Im working on a video fully dedicated to silicone and product build up. Silicone provides hold and thames the hair in haircare. It becomes an issue when a brand uses cheap silicone and plastic to give the hair fake silky feel like to the hair, that will build up on the hair after a while

    • @jasminegee3506
      @jasminegee3506 3 роки тому

      Hey Mike, oh I see, thanks for explaining! I’ll watch your latest video and definitely looking forward to the video dedicated to silicones to learn more. Thanks and keep up the great work! :)

      I noticed that when my hair was natural, no damage, my hair preferred silicone free products with the exception of a silicone based heat protectant.
      I used to get build up from using any more than that.
      But when I bleached and coloured my hair, silicone conditioners really helped me.
      If your hair likes them, use them.

    Thoughts on the Maui Moisture line? It’s a drugstore brand that a lot of people are loving right now. However, I too am snooty about hair products so I don’t know if I want to try it but I’d appreciate your input. 😊

    Hi Mike. I’m a bit late to the comments but thanks for reviewing this range. I don’t really have the budget for the likes of Kérastase but I’m currently using the banana & coconut/Shea butter version of this range for dry hair. I have to say I love it, especially the masque which I find great to use especially a tiny amount as a leave in. The smell of it is amazing and I would recommend for those on a budget who want something vegan and cruelty free. 👍
