    This is THE best haircare video on UA-cam. I used to think I had dandruff and oily hair. As it turns out, I was not doing a proper double wash and thorough rinse with warm water. This is a game changer! Now, I am able to alternate between L'Oreal Serie Expert Citramine for oily hair and a sulfate free shampoo. Zero dandruff and way less buildup and oiliness. You also taught me to avoid water insoluble silicones and supermarket shampoos which explains why I was suffering from buildup!

    Thank you for saying it doesn't really matter how much you wash it, washing daily won't cause damage. People always give me sh*t for washing daily but my scalp and face are so oily, I have to wash my scalp daily or it will become itchy and sore. I only use highend products and my hair feels very soft and healthy :)

    But for my own case, warm water tends to give my hair more frizz XD
    I can see it on the mirror!
    By the way if the weather isn't very cold, I usually prefer just cold water... living in a tropical country with high humidity and co-living with eczema is no joke...
    Currently I'm experiencing allergic reaction from a new brand shampoo, keratin treatment and hair serum that I just tried for 3 days, so I'm gonna stick with Cetaphil for some time... before trying any other hair products... maybe after finishing what I have in my house, I'll just stick to Cetaphil (feeling so sad for having sensitive skin... sometimes feel that Cetaphil is not satisfying because it somehow feels like some oil-film on the skin that never be removed at all and it never suds! And for certain period time of continuous usage it tends to build up on my skin and starts causing some mild acnes... and then I need something else like Neutrogena... anyway Cetaphil is really good during my super irritated skin times... )

    mean as long as I've lived these 28 years, the way I was washing my hair wrong!🤣 no wonder the one-time expensive shampoo..
    I bought doesn't work well on my scalp & doesn't have any significant effect on my hair 😭😭
    massage the scalp, let alone rub the hair roughly.❤

    1 time wash my hair is wrong it should be 2x❤😃😃
    washing the hair a second time gives good results for hair. 😘

      @@MikeDeCanter well what I mean is that many brands, but I use exclusively Kerastase, use to give reference to their products, like Shampoo for thin hair or thick hair. Understanding the thickness of my hair could help me to choose for the right product when a shampoo is placing this information in the bottle.

    • @MikeDeCanter
      @MikeDeCanter  3 роки тому +1

      hey with Kerastase when it comes to shampoos your hair concern is priority eg. if your hair is dry use Bain Satin1 if want volume use something like Bain Volumifique. Thickness of the hair only matters regarding conditioners. if your hair is thick you use mask and if your hair is fine use mask. With shampoo its really down to your hair needs. dont hesitate to contact me via DM or email

  • @monio.9444
    @monio.9444 Рік тому

    OMG thank you, this is life changing. I kept adding more shampoo to the single wash and wondering why the hell it doesn't create any foam and I wasn't doing a second wash cause I thought it's gonna strip my hair of all the oils and make it dry and frizzy. Can't wait to try this method. About the conditioner, a hairdresser told me once that you shouldn't rinse it off till your hair is squeaky, you should let it be a bit slippery. Is that true? Also, if I may, I wanted to ask your opinion on the Wella Professional line of products cause it says they're professional but they are full of dimethicone and other common silicones you find in cheap drugstore shampoos, so I got confused. (Especially their Wella Professional Oil Reflextion Light. The ingredients list is full of silicones: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol,Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Parfum/Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hexyl Cinnamal,Linalool,Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone,Coumarin, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Limonene,Citronellol,Famesol,Geraniol) So I'm curious if they're good or bad, as they are the only affordable professional brand in my country.

    When my brother and I were young boys our one grandmother washed our hair every night when we stayed with her. At the kitchen sink .. she used her old lady shampoo on us and gave us one good lengthy “scrubbing”.. she once took us for haircuts to her hairdresser.. good haircuts but rather embarrassing being in a beauty parlor with old ladies. I was 12 or 13 then and do remember an elderly lady in the beauty shop shampooed my hair twice and did a “ creme rinse “ which I thought was too girly for boys. .. she was rather “agressive” scrubbing my head..maybe because I was a boy ? I don’t know but it was the first time I had 2 shampooings ..

      @@MikeDeCanter I used to live in Athlone (went to college there) so your lovely accent reminds me those days ;) I bought Kerastase with stemoxydine - should help to "awake" sleeping hair cuticles. We will see. If it doesn't work I will try loreal and vichy but wanted to try Kerastase first. Thank you so much and have a great day :)

    I am going to try washing my hair twice. I have not been doing that. I was thinking of using my just ok shampoo for the first wash and the Kerastase for the second wash. Is that a good idea?

    Should you use a different shampoo for the first cleanse to break the surface tension then follow it with the treatment product for the second wash? I worry about wasting the treatment product, especially if I am investing in a professional shampoo. Love your videos! they are so educational :)
