My hair began shedding big time following a very stressfull period I went through. So, I researched the internet & decided to test the litttleextra coocoonion hair oil & a comb made of neem wood. The results really made a difference. Now, my hair is long, dense, black hair that has reached my waist & trimmed three times since I started. Simple and good. Additionally, just as good can be rubbing the scalp - it stimulates the growth. You just must do this once a week. Before long, you'll see short hairs growing in.
I was looking for a hair oil which is not too sticky and contains natural ingredients. The liittllextra coocoonion oil is a fantastic product and will order it again. Its natural ingredients like rosemary and coconut in it reduced my hair fall.
I really appreciate your video for 2 reasons: 1. you are one of the few youtubers that points out that the scalp is the issue. most people just assume hair in general just gets greasy out of nowhere. so scalp health becomes very important when it comes to general hair care. 2. your video was short and concise, very on point! I'd also maybe like to leave one remark for others watching this video. research I did on hair showed me that straight hair, but fine hair in general tend to get greasy/oily much faster than really wavy or curly hair (which tend to be on the dry side in general, given the hair structure). Your scalp is very sensitive to product, and its easy to go overboard with everything. Keep in mind that if you use dry shampoo or try to have only two hair wash days a week with scalp that is naturally on the oily side, it can clog up your hair follicles and you will experience hair loss. Scalp is skin, similar to the skin on your face, which you actually wash every day with adequate products. scalp needs to be cleaned as well. fine and straight hair usually require more washes a week to keep it healthy (of course a gentle shampoo is needed). @Mike you can correct me if that is wrong! thanks for the vid!

I'm so happy I found you 🙏🏼 I suffer from oily scalp and sebum problems, and I used to wash my hair with Aussie 😑🤦🏼 I thought it helped me to cleanse my scalp, but I think I ruined my hair after a long time of use... Just 2 days ago I ordered L'Oréal Professionnel SERIE EXPERT Pure Resource Shampoo. I can't wait to try it out. Hopefully it will happen tomorrow and I will start taking good care of my hair. So excited 😍
@@MikeDeCanter I've tried this shampoo 2 times already, the first time my hair was so clean and soft, I was so excited. Before I started washing my hair for the second time, I noticed that my scalp was dry, but my hair wasn't greasy like before, it just wasn't fresh, so I wanted to refresh it again 😔 I decided to do it to wash it this morning and now I clearly can see like a dandruff. Ive never had dandruff before. I'm scared, I think I won't be able to use it every time. Maybe just 1 time every 2 weeks or something like that only for deep cleaning. Now I think I need some kind of daily shampoo to moisturize or something 🤷🏼 It's very good shampoo for cleaning scalp, but not for often use.
I'm going to give both a try. I am going to be 56 on the 1st of June and have been suffering all my life with oily hair and skin. I adore your look! My son would love you! I'll let you know how it goes!
IM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL! I am so digging your accent. If my scalp is greasy but hair extremely dry due to shampoos, do I still need Bain Divalent or are clarifying shampoos enough? I feel most shampoos tend to do this to me, even when it doesn’t on other people. Also what can I do to treat my hair which has developed this.. “diversity” in thickness and texture over the years? Some strands are fine and normal, while some have thickened and curled (kind of like pubic hair texture - sorry!)
@@MikeDeCanter Thank you for your reply! My hair as a child was uniform in texture and thickness (fine and straight). Now I notice certain (alot, mainly from center of scalp) strands are like 3x thicker, coarse and wiry and it baffles me. What can I do to fix this? :(
I’m really excited to buy these 2 shampoos. I don’t have a lot of hair strands, it’s thin, it has no volume at all and I have to wash it everyday. However it’s very healthy (i have no split ends and it doesn’t break easily) and the only hair products I ever use are my shampoo and conditioner. So i’m going to switch my shampoo to one of the ones in the video and maybe use a leave in conditioner instead of a wash-off conditioner (my hair lady told me to do this, not sure if shes right) 😖
hey hey you will love pure resource shampoo!!! when it comes to conditioner use something very light . check out my film about best daily conditioners. I wouldn't recommend using a leave in instead and dont see the point in it x

That was very helpful! Thank you 😉👍🏼 What conditioner would you recommend for fine hair, please? Also what styling product would you recommend for greasy fine hair and that is anti frizz too? I used to used different sorts of natural oils and lately Pantene oil replacement, and both are making my hair look worse.. It just looks good for one day then the next day it feels like I need to wach it again! 🤦♀️

I'm currently using Pantene classic cleanse that my aunt sent from Portugal, it's better than what's available here but still no right for my oily scalp and dry lenghts. I will absolutely use Bain Divalent once I live in Portugal!

Hello! First of all, thank you for all the information! Since I cut my hair It has been very oily! Can I use Bain Divalent to my hair if they are colored? (not from the roots, I had a balayage)! Also what conditioner or mask do you suggest me to get? I don’t know if I am wrong but I didn’t find a conditioner by divalent on lookfantastic x Also I read somewhere that I shouldn’t be using shampoos And conditioner everytime I shower. Should I only rinse them with water sometimes?
hey yes you can use Bain Divalent shampoo on coloured hair :) When it comes to choosing the right conditioner it depends on your hair concern. If your hair is dry use a conditioner for dry hair ect. I wash my hair every day I dont see the reason why would you just rinse it. Check out my how to wash your hair film, I talk about that in more detail xxx

I thought it helped me to cleanse my scalp, but I think I ruined my hair after a long time of use...
Just 2 days ago I ordered L'Oréal Professionnel SERIE EXPERT Pure Resource Shampoo. I can't wait to try it out. Hopefully it will happen tomorrow and I will start taking good care of my hair. So excited 😍
let me know how you get on x
@@MikeDeCanter I've tried this shampoo 2 times already, the first time my hair was so clean and soft, I was so excited. Before I started washing my hair for the second time, I noticed that my scalp was dry, but my hair wasn't greasy like before, it just wasn't fresh, so I wanted to refresh it again 😔
I decided to do it to wash it this morning and now I clearly can see like a dandruff. Ive never had dandruff before. I'm scared, I think I won't be able to use it every time. Maybe just 1 time every 2 weeks or something like that only for deep cleaning. Now I think I need some kind of daily shampoo to moisturize or something 🤷🏼
It's very good shampoo for cleaning scalp, but not for often use.
Thanks for this informative review. This is coming from another UA-cam product tester. I'm going with the L'Oreal Serieexpert for my oily hair.
I'm going to give both a try. I am going to be 56 on the 1st of June and have been suffering all my life with oily hair and skin. I adore your look! My son would love you! I'll let you know how it goes!
please do Diane xx
IM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL! I am so digging your accent. If my scalp is greasy but hair extremely dry due to shampoos, do I still need Bain Divalent or are clarifying shampoos enough? I feel most shampoos tend to do this to me, even when it doesn’t on other people.
Also what can I do to treat my hair which has developed this.. “diversity” in thickness and texture over the years? Some strands are fine and normal, while some have thickened and curled (kind of like pubic hair texture - sorry!)
hey yes Bain Divalent would be your best option as it will also hydrate the ends. I dont understand your second question
Hair tips from an Irish guy. Who could ask for more? I'm Irish too although sadly much too removed. Thanks for the tips,I'll definitely be trying the shampoo you recommend!
Happy to help! Slán
Excellent advise thank you!!!😊❤ it makes so much more sense now
I like how you explained that scalp gets oily not hair, I was about to lose my mind because I didn't understand why it got oily so quick. I always touch my hair that's probably why ends of my hair got oily so quick. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
@@MikeDeCanter Yes and thank you for shampoo recommendation I was using my friends Pantene shampoos lol
The L’Oréal pure resource changed my hair. My hair is longer than my waist, dry ends and oily scalp with crazy flaking during the winter. Let me tell you, I got a scalp scrubber, started shampooing twice with the pure resource and conditioning with the Moroccan oil intense hydrating mask on the ends. Wow dude. Lol I’m still in shock. It’s incredible what the correct products will do. I Also got the WOW dreamcoat stuff is pretty damn amazing too.
which scalp scrubber are you using ? x
@@MikeDeCanter I searched on amazon for scalp massager and it comes in a pack of 2, purple and green. The brand is Cbiumpro. 😊

I have a question do you use that same shampoo everyday or are you supposed to use that shampoo only for a few days ? Because I'm thinking of buying that shampoo but idk if I'm supposed to use it everyday?
@@samantha375 I use it every time I shampoo because I have a lot of hair and it’s very oily given that I only wash it 2 a week. This helps keep it under control the days I do not wash. It’s honestly very gentle, it doesn’t strip my hair whatsoever. It just keeps my hair clean longer.
I learned so much from your videos. Thank you so much for taking your time to explaining to us all these problems😘😘😘😘😘
You are so welcome!
@@MikeDeCanter 😘😘😘😘😘😘
I know that you are affiliated with L’Oréal, but do you have any other recommendations by other companies? It kind of makes it hard for me to believe that these are actually good when those are the only recommendations.
Thanks for the video - I use Bain Divelant but it's not enough if I have build up. Thanks for the Pure Resource Serie Expert.
Wow! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You truly understand the issue with oily scalp… for the first time found a really useful video and product recommendation. Surely gonna try the recommended product. I surely see a ray of hope.
My pleasure 😊
Amazing information....love from INDIA
I am so happy I stumbled upon this channel!! Thank you for the tips!
😘😘😘
You give great tips! Keep up the good work
Thank you for that explanation! I have been suffering with oily scalp for years and I’ve tried so many different shampoos. What conditioner do you recommend to go with the Kerastase? I can’t seem to find the conditioner for it.
It can be paired up with any conditioner . ie. if your hair is dry use a conditioner for dry hair if it needs volume use volumizing ect ect.
@@MikeDeCanter thanks for this info also
What about putting one cup of apple cider vinegar and 2/3 cups of water on your hair before shampooing will that help with oily hair??
You are so helpful!, I hope you can talk about low porosity hair type.
Great suggestion! i mention that in my best product for damaged hair film
Glad I found your channel very informative & I am learning a lot plus you do reply to you subscribers. I have few questions..I am planning to use Kerastase Genesis Bain Shampoo & Conditioner but I saw this video. Now, I got confused which of the 2 Kerastase should I use then? I have oily/greasy but suffering of a bit of hair fall. What can you suggest? Thanks in advance!
I love you ❤ finally a very expert on UA-cam...😘😘😘
Thank you so much 😀
Aww thank you for this! Very helpful and very excited to try something new💞
You're so welcome!
@@MikeDeCanter is there a hair conditioner you would recommend that goes with the L’Oréal serie shampoo?💞
These are all super expensive where I live these products are like luxury products !

Very informative indeed! Thank you for sharing.👏🏻🌹 Following from Morocco 🇲🇦
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your share. I swear this products that im searching for. ❤
I loved this video. 💜
I do wonder what conditioner you would recommend for oily and fine hair?
love love love your videos! i've been binge watching your videos as i want to improve my hair routine. i wanted to know if you could use the pure resource shampoo as a clarifying shampoo and absolut repair shampoo as a regular one?? or are both regular shampoos?
Is the Kerastase shampoo a clarifying shampoo?
What kind of a conditioner should one use with these shampoos?
Thanks for your recommendations 👍
No problem 👍
I want to use Kérastase Bain Divalent so bad! I've been dealing with oily hair since I was 13 and I live in Latin America in a country with very calcareous water and on the top of that, I have to settle for the little range shampoos available, I don't get to choose. I'm currently using Pantene classic cleanse that my aunt sent from Portugal, it's better than what's available here but still no right for my oily scalp and dry lenghts. I will absolutely use Bain Divalent once I live in Portugal!
you might find tomorrows video very in interesting! keeps your eyes out. im talking about product build up! Im sure there is salons that sell kerastase in Latin America. where exactly are you?
I really enjoyed this but was just wondering if you could also recommend a conditioner. Your shampoo advice was great but not sure about conditioner. You are adorbs and so knowledgeable by the way xxx
thank Danielle xxxx when it comes to conditioner it all depends on your hair. if your hair is oily and dry use oil balancing shampoo and hydrating conditioner if your hair is oily and fine use oil balancing shampoo and conditioner for fine hair ect ect x
What about a good conditioner to use? Or does it not matter?
Thank you for making a video like this. I can finally buy the right type of shampoo now 🤧
Hi! May I ask what conditioners you'd use in combination with these products? If any at all? Thanks so much!
Can I use the pure resource on a daily basis ?
Hello! First of all, thank you for all the information! Since I cut my hair It has been very oily! Can I use Bain Divalent to my hair if they are colored? (not from the roots, I had a balayage)! Also what conditioner or mask do you suggest me to get? I don’t know if I am wrong but I didn’t find a conditioner by divalent on lookfantastic x
Also I read somewhere that I shouldn’t be using shampoos And conditioner everytime I shower.
Check out my how to wash your hair film, I talk about that in more detail
xxx
hi! I watched your video and i am amazed how u explain things. i've been suffering from hair loss and oily hair for months. is it okay to use aloe vera for hair loss while using the loreal pure resource shampoo?
aleo vera would be more for nourishment
I never never never comment but your video is just WOW. No one ever provided such great info about oily hair. I was like nodding the whole time when you were referring to the issues I face with oily hair lol. Thank you so much one again, made my day. Will definitely Kerastase shampoo you suggested. You are going to be super famous soon. All the very best ❤️
Sandeep welcome to the family :) thank you so much for your kind comment! please let me know how toy get on with that shampoo. xxx
What conditioner should I pair this with?
Why haven't I discovered your channel earlier ????? Fab content
Oh thank you!
Amazing! Is the Kerastase Bain Divalent shampoo safe for coloured dyed hair?
yes it is x
You are AMAZING!!!! Thanks for your help.
Happy to help! xxx
Amazing video thank you!
You are amazing. I've become a huge fan!
Wow, thank you!
Could you also say something about conditioners for every day use with an oily scalp :)? I have a very oily scalp but very dry and brittle ends due to bleaching. Thanks for the video again ❤️
hey Marissa ! use any conditioner that matches your hair concern just make sure to keep it away from the scalp and rinse it well xxx
Can you tell me which kerastase shampoo is good for sensitive, dry and flaky scalp?
Love be your videos!! What conditioner do you recommend to use with the Kerastase shampoo?
hey Janette , that depends on your hair concern x
Love your videos! Super informative
Any help with finding shampoo/conditioner for greasy scalps with dry ends? I feel like oil control products dry out my hair but smoothing products make my roots oily. My hair is totally imbalanced - help!
Bain Divilant is perfect as it controls oils and hydrates the ends xx

can i use maple holistics clarifying degrease shampoo? Maple-Holistics-Clarifying-Shampoo-Scalp
can be used everyday?
Hi Mike - I have oily borderline greasy hair and been using Matrix High Amplify range that been working wonders but now my dandruff (itchy scalp I think from stripping too much oil and harsh London water) flared up, and just can't get rid of it. Hair when attempted to try softer Coco-Betaine based shampoos incl Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo, felt a bit better but a few hours in the itch returned. Please please some advice and guidance would be appreciated! xx
loved the video , i have exactly the hair u explained , oily scalp but the rest of the hair is normal but they are frizzy & damaged . to add to the misery , the texture is wavy 😢 noted the shampooz u suggested , plz suggest conditioner for the tresses ,? my hair otherwise are long and voluminous so i just wanna knw how it feels to hv good hair for a while 😢 thanks
any conditioner that will meet your secondary hair concern x
I used the one from L’Oréal and it made me too much dandruff, I only used it about 4 times😓 now I bought the one from kerastase I hope it works
i can’t go a day without washing my hair!!! but when i’m not going out of my house, i try to not wash my hair. i take morning showers but when evening comes around it’s already greasy and oily again. it’s so so so frustrating because even after i shower, my hair sill be so flat and greasy and oily! i try to use dry shampoo on the days i don’t wash my hair but it doesn’t look as good as if i were to shampoo and style my hair! i feel like i’ve tried everything but nothing works.
what have you been using on your hair?
@@MikeDeCanter i change through different shampoos and conditioner. recently i tried the “OGX Argan oil of Moroccan shampoo and conditioner” but it didn’t really work for me and just made my hair more greasy! right now i’m using head and shoulders shampoo & pantene conditioner. it hasn’t been working well for me either, it is just making my hair greasier aswell. i know those products are definitely not the best for my hair but i just don’t know what works anymore! my hair is just so oily all the time and has been very frustrating!!
Hi Mike, that’s quite an informative video. Recently I got my first French balayage done with L’Oreal Majirel. My scalp is greasy and ends are dry. I have acne too, this might be the reason of over active sebaceous glands. I bought L’Oréal metal dx shampoo and mask and I still get greasy scalp in two days. This pure essence shampoo works for balayaged hair as well and how do I incorporate both metal dx and pure essence in my routine. Kindly help
Which conditioner should I use with the second shampoo??
Does the Kerastase shampoo also help with dandruff? If not, what are some shampoos you would recommend for oily and dry scalp?
no not this is, Bain Anti-Pelliculair is for dandruff
5 min Into your video and I love you already. Thanks for this. I'm subscribed. 😁
😘😘😘
Does it helps in moisture locking in hair for low porosity hair
Hi, my scalp is oily but I’m getting my hair bleached soon. Is this loreal shampoo suitable for bleached hair? Thanks!
Would you say these shampoos are more so clarifying shampoos or could I use them for every wash? I’m looking an everyday shampoo for oily hair!
Hello, I just recently discovered your channel.. in the first view only i kind liked this video and got so trust to try the shampoo you told for oily hair.. i have tried the loreal one for two weeks but still doesn’t work- means my hair gets oily next day’s itself 🙃
sorry to hear that
What about conditioner? Which one I should use with that L'Oréal shampoo
First thanks for your explication , I have two questions :
1) Can I use these two shampoos even if I suffer from dandruff?
2) Do these shampoos make the hair dry after use? If yes, should I use the conditionner ?
yes you can use them how ever they dont treat dandruff so the issue of dandruff will still be there?
I would always recommend using a conditioner after shampooing
@@MikeDeCanter and what you advice me : treat dandruff firstly with shampoo anti-dandruff and then use these shampoo in the video or the opposite ?
Very helpful video! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
New sub, I really like to wel you explain everything. Nice personality ☺
Thanks for subbing!
Hi Mike. Your video is perfect timing for my greasy mop problem. I will buy Kérastase divalent. Will I rotate it with my kerastase chromatique? Also, what conditioner? I have chez moi the chromatique conditioner and the absolu blond one. Many thanks x
hey Grainne you can use any conditioner with Bain Divalent . There is no need to alternate the shampoo
Can someone who has curly and dry hair use it as a clarifying shampoo?
love it .. am gonna star with kerastase divalent shampoo and conditioner from today .. thnax for the informative video love it..
You're so welcome!
Where do you buy those shampoos
Hey! First of all, your kerastase videos were very informative :) I'm trying to make myself a routine can you help me with that? I have thick, wavy to curly, slightly long length hair (i'm a man). My scalp is itching and small white things falling after 3 days of shower. It's not a big problem but I want to completely get rid of it. I don't think my hair is really oily and some parts are even dry. My main goal is to have soft, smooth, hydrated curly hair but also solving my issue that I explained. I use Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream now but other than that can you create me a routine? Sorry if my English is bad, thank you...
