Emperors for me any day! You can always dampen an Emperor to make it sound like an EC2 but you can't make pre-damped heads like EC2s have more resonance. For that reason, undampened heads such as Emperors win out every time for me. Plus I prefer the sound of toms when they have more ring anyway.

i like the clear emperors more, but the ec2´s are also good. I think the emperors are a little bit more versatail

EVEN THOUGH THOSE EVANS LOOK MORE LIKE A " REMO PINSTRIPE'S " THOSE REMO EMPEROR SOUND WAY AND A LOT BETTER
The Emperor on the 16" sounded the nicest of all. The 12" sounded like one of the heads wasn't seated all the way, because there was some buzzing.
In general, Evans isn't a match for me. The g2 and ec2 have a weird feel and tone. Sound like the two plies of film are fighting each other.
When it’s all said and done, the audience wouldn’t be able to noticed any difference so I would go with your personal preference. Between these two heads, I personally preferred the Evans in this video.

It would be a better comparison if you used pinstripe vs ec2 or emperor vs g2... btw. ec2 and pinstripe sound the same. The g2 are more focused than emperor, but the emperor are more clear. Ec2 against g2 would be nice or pinstripe against emperor. 💁♂️
Ec2 and Pinstripes do not sound the same. Pinstripes sound is pristine

I hear little or no difference between Evens EC2S and Remo Emperors as this video demonstrates. Pinstripes however are more ringy. I'm not sure what Evans equivalent to pinstripes are but the closest Remo head to and Evans EC2S again is a clear Emperor.

They sound dead and hinder the drums musicality
I think that evans sound fuller and more bassy. In general after hearing many clips on you tube i think that Evans are better sounding heads than Remo

Do you have two ply on bottom to ?
The bottom is a 1ply head. Remo Ambassador Clear
Head didn't fit because you need longer tension rods
Remo ALL DAY LONG. The drums just sing
Emperor sound better for me.
Different head brands for different drums. Some heads just sound better on different drums....

Your floor tom is too low. Doesn't sit in the mix well
