My experience is that I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes nine years ago, and then went onto a medically supervised diet. I've had to do this twice, as I eventually put weight back on, but it has kept me free of the complications of diabetes and has probably given me extra years of healthy life.
The medical evidence is now compelling, and weight loss is now part of the standard NHS treatment for Type 2 diabetes in the UK. Much of the research was done at Newcastle University under Professor Roy Taylor and is easy to find online. Type 1 is proving a much harder nut to crack, and is probably a range of different conditions. The WION report suggested there is some progress, but sufferers should still be very careful who they take advice from as quackery abounds.
Hopefully it will change lives and bring happiness 🎉

Slowing down just by itself helps a lot.

English in its country of origin is stress-timed, as is German, Dutch and Russian. Hindi, Spanish, Italian and most southern European languages are syllable-timed. As is the native language of Wales, which is why some native English speakers think people with a strong Welsh accent sound Indian, or that an Indian accent sounds Welsh!

I find Republic World's news coverage, even when in English, almost impossible to follow. It is spoken at high speed and with an Indian rhythm. But in their defence I think Republic is aimed at a domestic Indian audience, while WION is keen to also get foreigners to watch.

Wait! How are you supposed to delay the onset of type 1? Most, if not all, people don’t realize it’s coming until they’re diagnosed with it. This sounds like just another ridiculous reason to take a drug for no reason.
If you’re trying to stop the progression of type 1, the way to do that is not with drugs. The way to do that is with carb restriction. Check out Dr. Richard Bernstein’s book, “The Diabetes Solution.”

Lacks clarity and not so informative
- start blood screen as early as 18
- know your a1c numbers. target 5.6% and below
- do blood screen every year even you are healthy and no symptoms
- let say your a1c was 5.0%, a year later increase 5.5%, then you can start control what you eat
- don't wait until you are 40 to do blood screen or every 5 years only
- don't wait for symptoms
- its better to check every year or twice a year because if you get diabetes a1c 6.5%, you have to blood screen every 3 months anyway

So do not take any approval of the FDA on face value because it is not an Organisation which works for World Health but the HEALTH Industry Complex of the USA . Lots of post clinical data has to be critically analysed and would be with a rationale to wait for a couple of years to assess its success with delayed onset of Type 1 Diabetes .
