To the folks whining about the shift to smaller, turbo engines; They’re doing this because of government regulation. Maybe you should reevaluate your voting habits🤷🏻♂️
Can’t wait to see this midsized truck listed at dealers for 120k in Canada
Where is the 2024 tacoma trd off road? Is it going to be worth it or buy the 2023?
Looks like a mini Tundra.
They retained the thin grill from the Tacoma. The new Tundra has a big, American style vertical grill.
It looks better than the Tundra.
I have a question ... I moved to N.A recently and trucks here always confuses me ... Like why there's re less diesels ..trucks need more low end torque and how far any V6 naturally aspirated engines or these 4 cylinder turbos can perform ... I don't know
Diesels have never been popular in North America because the fuel cost has historically been higher and also the perception of dirty exhaust.
Looks Great but you must get the upscale models in Hybrid only and will need an expensive battery in about 12 years or so-the more tech the more problems. the 2023 Tacoma and 4Runner are truly the last of the greats buy one before they are gone forever
🙄 Really dude? It’s 2023 and you’re still scared of hybrid technology? There are plenty of Toyota hybrids on the road currently that didn’t need battery replacements with well over 400k miles.
I love what they did with the style and tech but they lost me at 4 cylinder turbo…my wifes 2018 TRD Pro will outlast all of these fancy new Tacomas.
Never thought I'd say this, but I like the Nissan better.
I bet mpg is awful in this.
Beautiful taco's,BUT YODA-WAY TO LOSE RELIABILITY W/TURBO'S
The world moves forward with smaller powertrains.
I dunno why people keep talking about toyota losing reliability with turbos. You do know Toyota trucks have been turbo charged for decades, right? Just because you haven't gotten a turbo truck since the 80s in the USA doesn't mean Toyota is new to turbos.
Looks great inside and out. the sway bar disconnect & the other off road features are welcomed upgrades. HOWEVER, what is not as welcomed by me, majority of car enthusiasts, & especially Toyota Trucks’ guys is the switch in powertrain to pathetic, complex, short life span, smaller turbo charged engines with complex hybrid systems.
Looking under the hood, it definitely looks like a rat’s nest, just looking at all this mess is screaming unreliability already. Way too many failure points, unnecessary complex systems & parts, stressed components, & short life span. All for insignificant gain in mpg and emissions. But definitely ruin the reliability and your pocket in the long run very significantly.
To put it nicely, the switch in powertrain takes away from Toyota about the only reason why someone would choose Toyota over anything else; reliability. also the sheeps could not help themselves but to be sheeps and follow the rest by switching to the stupid electronic parking brake 🤦🏻♂️🤮🤢
First of all, theres nothing complex about this hybrid setup. You have a battery, an electric motor and a inverter. Toyota is the king of hybrid technology and everyone and their momma knows toyotas hybrids are very reliable and durable so you can kill that hysteria. Toyota has been making turbo 4 cylinders for decades... literally. From the old 22RTE in the 80s all the way up to these new engines under the hoods of modern lexus and toyota products. Toyota trucks have been turbo 4 cylinder in other parts of the world and they've earned their reputation for reliability. If you knew anything about the 3.5 under the hood of the current taco, you'd know its a gutless and uninspiring engine to operate. Its also horrible to dismantle if you need to reseal the front timing cover or anything timing cover related.
The new turbo engines will give something the 2016-2023 Tacomas lacked and thats lots of low end torque. But you keep scaring yourself with this idea of unreliability. Its Toyota were talking about, not GM.
You mean the Toyota made in Mexico now thats got my confidence riding high bahahaha
@@gordmonteath6090 news flash. Tacomas have been made in Mexico for decades.
