  • In this video, you'll learn why you're not improving at golf and what you can do to fix it and start to play better golf. If you want to improve your golf swing, working on your wrist angles is one of the first things you need to fix. This improves your consistency and accuracy and can stop your golf swing from getting worse. It's one of the best golf tips you'll learn.
If you're wondering how to get better at golf, working on this one part of your golf swing is an excellent place to start. You can practice this at home or on the golf course, which works for beginners and better golfers. How your wrists are positioned at the top of your backswing greatly influences your clubface at impact. Get this right, and you will start hitting it solid and shooting lower golf scores.

Aware of this principle, but this has been a very good reminder of how important & key this is to remember, and why it matters. Excellent video.

Excellent video Troy on how important a square clubface is at impact! Your examples of a flat left wrist in comparison to a cupped left wrist is "right on!"
I have been working diligently on having a flat left wrist and a bent back right wrist throughout the golf swing and especially at impact. Always learning from your videos Troy! Keep up the good work!!!

Incredible tutorial! I love your style of breaking it down and your use of examples / fixes. I just picked up the Hackmotion sensor today and didn't quite understand the app's suggestion of using the motorcycle drill. You've hit it out of the park.
Speaking of the sensor, do you feel like the stats/data that the Pro version provides is worth the extra expense? Thanks!

      Thanks Justin, I appreciate it.
Yes I think the pro version is worth it. Especially if you're someone that's wanting to improve and put in the practice.
If it helps you out, there's a link in the description to save you from money on it.
      Cheers

Troy. The only club I am slicing is the driver.
The fairway woods and irons I hit pretty straight.
My backswing is slow and sometimes I hit the driver straight on the range but many times I am slicing it to right.
    I welcome your comnents

Yes, this happens a lot as the driver as less loft and is easier to curve the ball.
With all slicers the problem is too much of an open clubface to an outside path at impact.
Work on coming more from the inside instead of down steep and it should straighten them out. Cheers

Greetings from UK. My coach says I have an almost perfect position at top with a very flat lead wrist. On the way down I have a tendency to ruin everything by “pulling” the blade open. How I was taught 35 years ago. Very “handsy” through impact. And inconsistent. For me it doesn’t feel like it’s enough to bow at the top or on the way down to get the blade square. It feels like I almost have to “twist” the club shut. I’m not sure if this is forearm rotation or hands. For someone who has always pulled the blade open, is the feeling of “twisting” it shut on the way down the right sort of feeling? Great video, by the way. One of the best I’ve ever seen on this much misunderstood topic.

Thanks Martin, I would experiment with the feeling of the club being more shut in the downswing and see what sort of results you get. This is something to do only at the range. Then, if you overdo it you can tone it back a bit and try to find a happy medium that works for you. Feeling that trail elbow closer to your ribs on the way down will assist also. Cheers

@@Hittingitsolid Well! Works like magic. Gone are the high push fades. Replaced with low penetrating baby draws. The feeling I have on the way down is slightly (only slightly) "right hand on top of grip". Very encouraging. Thanks.

I love your videos but all the numbers in the wrist action get in the way of the lesson

Thanks, yes I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers. Just focus more on some wrist feels and positions. Appreciate your support. Cheers
