    Great video. So much more than not rushing the down swing. Really a first rate primer on the golf swing itself with so much woven into the topic of rushing. Well done. One of the better videos.

    I really like the point of pulling with the left or lead arm rather than pushing with the right arm. I find this very helpful.

    Troy, once again brilliant video, done following your videos and coming out of lockdown, I am a 10.8 h'cap but the five rounds I've played since coming out of lockdown I've played 7 or 8 over.
    Is brilliant advice, but I can't get my chipping back, so you have a video on chipping techniques you could share?
    Keep them coming.

    This is torture! COVID lockdown 3.0 here! Really keen to get out there and put all of your ideas into practice! So enjoying how you explain the various elements of the swing! May I ask you to point me to one of your videos regarding the hand position relative to the chin at address!
    I have noticed of late that all decent players seem to have the hands just under the chin at address, while I know mine tend to be beyond the chin! I suspect this is contributing to me taking the club back on the inside during the takeaway and cast on the downswing? Resulting in inconsistent ball striking!
    I play off 6 and after watching your videos I am wondering how I even manage to make contact with the ball! Anyhow, enough of my wows! Many thanks for your posts and for taking the time to educate us less accomplished individuals!

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you, yes it sounds like you may have the hands too far from your body at set up. Try bringing it back in a little letting the arms hang down more naturally in front of you. Cheers

    For me, the transition occurs when my left heel comes back down with weight on it. My experience is that I have to wait for this to happen by feeling that I pause at the top. I have not found any way to make this happen. Is there?

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Mike, yes that can certainly work well. I like to feel as though the left knee externally rotates and that pulls the rest of my body over into the stacked position. Takes a lot of slow rehearsals to get this right. Cheers

  • @deohin5447
    @deohin5447 3 роки тому +2

    If u r one of those who lifted your left heal on the backswing then the first move would be, left foot back down to brace for weight shift. Arms should fall naturally. Maybe.

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, for many players this does often, but not all. Cheers

    Whenever I lift my heel on backswing, I just seem to hit topped or low pulled shots. I do need to get a better hip turn as my swing feels like it has no real freedom to move. My short swing just feels cramped😢😢

    • @Hittingitsolid
      @Hittingitsolid  Рік тому +1

      Hi James, if you're topping the ball it means you're not getting into that squat position in the downswing and shifting pressure forward. Hope that helps.
