makes perfect sense, thanks for the explanation. I love when things are much simpler than I am expecting them to be. Also I loved your intro despite not knowing what it means
DUDE no joke in the literal span of the 7 second into of this video i zoned out, forgot what im watching, looked away from my computer, i hear an absolute beast of a tongue twister about jackin flaps, i tune back in to my absolute amazement that a blender tutorial started out with such rhyme. subscribed.
Thank God you made that clear to understand.. the vocals were loud and the vid ACTUALLY SHOWED what you advertised.. and what you did to pull that off.. So sick of vids that can't help us 😂😂😂😂 A++ Kid!!
Omfg i was looking for quick tutorials like this for 3 days, i always ended up finding people painting over stuff and voilà, and others randomly using stuff without telling proprely thank you so much
This helps a lot friend. I was doing well modeling aircraft until I got to the texturing part. I was following a Tutorial done in 2016 and blender v 3.41 has changed a good bit. Some of the functions have been renamed. Its like now if I click UV editor it automatically opens up a split screen with 3D viewport and UV editor in view. The instructions had you manually loading those functions. At least I have an image loaded where I can see it but still haven't gotten a 2D wing painted and showing up on my plane.
If for someone doesn't show up the material, for me i pressed the little circle in "Material" and go right on the end where it says also material and click that. That's how it showed up for me
Amaziing video!! After struggling for so long, I watched your vid and added my texture SO EASILY!! I watched 5 vids before yours and none of them hit like this!! New Subscriber 🎉🎉
@@ndkdkdkmnn that happens to me when i remove an image texture, and don’t delete the “image texture” button. Either that or it turns grey. So try deleting it
Wow thank you! I actually able to texture somethingin blender for the first time thanks to this video!! I would like to be able to scale the texture tho.. When I try to use thee "S" key that doesnt happen, is there any other way to go into edit mode? when I hit Tab on a floor cushion I am working on, it doesn't unwrap on the new screen. I am using blender 3.6
I have looked for months for a video like this and finally found this one. Thankkkk you for the awesome video. I use blender for ending cars and stuff in a game. Is there a way when I export it out it gives me the object plus a seperate texture dds image template so if I wanna change something I can just swap a dds image and not have to go back in blender
Thank you this was so good. Just one question, how do you close the second edit screen half after? I dont like to have the small slice of it all the time visible.
Useful guide but only when the smart unwrap works. Which it totally doesn't even though I am using a simple rectangle. Some of the faces instead of being squares on the texture image are just lines. It makes no sense. So the texture on those sides of rectange are totally distorted. I am just using a brick texture. and so it's easy to see some sides are not working at all.
Thank you very much for the great tutorial! The question is now - how do I close that window with UV map? I have to restart Blender every time I use it.
This helps a lot mate, thanks a lot for the tutorial. Quick question: I am learning to mod weapons into Elden Ring, and the game requires textures to be separated into Albedo, Metallic, and Normal independent save files. How would I go about that? Create the model and apply first the Albedo, save it. Then remove the Albedo, apply metallic, save it, and finally do the same, but with the normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I might seem dumb but this tutorial didn’t work for me whatsoever, rewatched it around 2-3 times but it didn’t work. The texture just never showed up, I tried the preview thing but it just turned black (I’m new to Blender)
This tutorial doesn't seem to work when I am working on an imported .stl (a 30 faces dice). Not sure why but the texture file doesn't seem to apply on the surface.

Same for me, I haven’t worked on my project in 4 months because I was super frustrated by texturing! Thank you very much!

How do you put mulitple images onto the cube sides?
create 1 image that consists of multiple images. everything else is explained in this tutorial.
the vertices for me all go on top of each other so i can't separate them and each face takes like 1 pixel of the texture
edit: nvm
