Thank you Beverley! I appreciate the kind words. Please share it to any T1D groups you are a part of! I hope this video can help others keep a bright spirit.
The low after eating - I hate it! Same meal the day before, bs is perfect, next day... crashing or high. So many factors, bolus as its name suggest in Latin, truly is a guessing game.
I ran across one the other night. I start getting ready to head to bed and my BS is doing fine. About 10 minutes later I start brushing my teeth and bam, I hear the BS is low alarm within seconds of placing my toothbrush in my mouth.
@@BetweenTwoLines yeah then it won't come down and you need to work out so you power through and get leg cramps...not that it's happened to me or anything..
Loved it! You should do a BS video winning over the CGM... I have conversations with my pump all the time and more when I felt the low and treated it and then, alarm goes on 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I knew it before sensor that's my diabetic's sense
Diabetic 41 years. Used the pump. Multiple daily injections. Work as a lawyer in NYC. Train in martial arts with black belts in karate and tkd. Lift weights. Bike. Love the videos. Talking to my blood sugar at the most inconvenient times and eating when I don't want to is the story of my life. Nice job. Love the videos.
Thanks a ton! Please share it with any T1D groups you are a part of - I am just one guy and am not aware of everyone out there that could benefit from them. Thanks a lot and good luck keeping it between the lines!
Between Two Lines I'm going to share this with my Endocrinologist. It's nice for all Type1's to laugh about a hard disease to deal with. It also helps to know you're not alone. I just found your channel today. I wish I would have found you sooner. I will now binge watch all your videos. Oh and I've been Type1 for 53 years.
OMG, the eating a full meal and then still being low made me laugh so much. Me and my mum (both T1) both really liked these videos, and my sister who isn't diabetic appreciated being able to see what it's like for us! From Lancaster UK, keep up the fab work!
Omg 😆 I’m so happy I found your channel. We had a high day it was tough my 4yr old son is Type1 diabetic. He was diagnosed two years ago. It’s been a roller coaster of ups & downs ever since.
The last scene... 😂😂😂😂 I've been diagnosed 38 years ago. I know every scene in my daily life ! (I hope you can read and understand my poor English. I live in Germany)
Omg😂! I needed this channel! I'm trying to find one like these, that involve the battle with cgms alarms, not stacking insulin, or overdoing it to fix a low. I don't personally know any other Type 1s,and it's driving my husband insane! 😂 Thanks for these videos, I'm a new sub! 👍
Thanks for these video's Levi - They have helped me so much, knowing that my experience over the last 7 months since being diagnosed is totally normal - and it has helped my kids, and extended family understand as well. It is a 24 x 7 job. Am making my way through your serious videos now - but please keep the comedy coming!
That is awesome to hear Phil! Thanks for watching them. I will certainly keep them coming. The humorous ones are challenging! Working on one this weekend so stay tuned and subscribe!
I can totally relate to the one about counting calories etc. It seems like no matter how much I lower my basal when I go to the gym I end up w low bs either there or after and feel like I have to then eat or drink the calories I just burned. Love your videos!!!
Thanks for the excellent videos. So informative, relatable, encouraging and humorous. My problem is that I have been a Type 2 diabetic for the past 20 years and feel a little left out :( Please include us Part 2ers in the conversation
Dude thanks a lot. I’ve got one coming up soon called ‘Married to a Diabetic’. Spouses take a beating and deserve a ton of credit. Please pay it forward by sharing the video to whatever T1D group you are in!
Between Two Lines Awesome my wife is excited to see it. I can see the video coming about vacationing with a diabetic, the garage of a diabetic in the South and the North, a diabetics Mom’s thoughts, a diabetics Mom’s purse, a Dad diabetic who’s child is diabetic (get over it and stab yourself with that needle). J You have probably thought of these. Shoot me an email at steven.kalmus@gmail.com and I will save you in my contacts and send you any ideas I live living life as a diabetic.
Laurie Gatz no kidding! When I filmed that scene I had to cut it short because my blood sugar was plummeting. Low blood sugar during the skit about low blood sugar. Grr.
Thank you Ashley! If any of you guys are looking for a good patch to increase the adhesion of your CGM, check THE SUGAR PATCH out. Great people and great product.
My mother thought that BS was the acronym for something "BAD". LOL I just told her that it stood for Blood Sugar....but in my mind I was thinking that my BS can be BS sometimes. This just solidifies it! LOL
I have a family history of diabetes type 2, everyone both from my mothers side and fathers side uave diabetes type 2!!! Luckily, I'm too young and don't have it. Enjoying my normal diabetes freee life!!!
Again... too relateable... right now I'm stressing because my blood sugar is just under 280 and I've drank 5 glasses of water AND injected insulin... literally nothing is working :/
@@BetweenTwoLines stress always messes with my bs, also getting sick makes bs hard to manage. maybe another idea is having him muted and bs goes super high because you forgot to unmute the alarms.
Sometimes I think that insulin is just here to keep us alive, it is not there to eat with. I sometime think also if you are going to eat a big meal it is better to take insulin some minutes before you eat so it is in your system when the carbs start hitting. So the highs do not overwhelm you.
SO RELATABLE! And a light-hearted way to illustrate to friends and family what it can be like! Keep up the great work! :)
Thank you Beverley! I appreciate the kind words. Please share it to any T1D groups you are a part of! I hope this video can help others keep a bright spirit.
The steak one! So many times I had a massive protein meal to get slapped in the face and force feed myself jelly babies.
That is the WORST. Glad you could relate to that!
It's been avocados for me..they give me the same response.😂😂
OMG the diabeetus.. RIP Wilford 😂❤
My 9 year old son has T1D and he thought the first video was funny, can't wait to show him this tonight lol. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a ton. I hope he gets a good laugh!
I’m nine years old and have diabetes to
The “sorry man I just work here” sent me😂
"Hey man dont be looking at me its not my fault you got the diabetus" xd
Type1 since I was an infant. As soon as I saw the hot tub, I laughed before a word was spoken.
Every dang time...
By blood sugar crashed as I was filming it. So ridiculous!
Between Two Lines haha!
Why?? I've had t1 for 6 years, never heard of getting low by having a hot bath, does this really work?
@@Ellieys_diary yep!!
This brought tears to my eyes, So funny and so relateable. Glad to know I'm not alone.
kippydoo I’m so glad you enjoyed it. And absolutely not alone on this. Thank you!
