Thank you Levi for all that you do!!!!! I've had t1d for over 11 years and your channel is one of the few things I enjoy about being a diabetic... Keep up the amazing work because you are making a difference :,)
Diabetic 41 years. Used the pump. Multiple daily injections. Work as a lawyer in NYC. Train in martial arts with black belts in karate and tkd. Lift weights. Bike. Love the videos. Talking to my blood sugar at the most inconvenient times and eating when I don't want to is the story of my life. Nice job. Love the videos.
I’ve been finding lately that it is almost impossible to do any meaningful exercise because any calories I burn is immediately balanced out by whatever food I have to eat. It really sucks
I am dealing with the same issue. I have about 15 lbs I would like to drop but I continually have to counter the calories I've burned with calorie intake to recover from a low blood sugar as a result of the exercise. It is a cycle I am trying to break by intentionally letting my blood sugar run a little high and using the exercise to bring it back down. I am not terribly good at this method thus far.
So true just 1 day to fill normal I’ve had type1 since oct 9, 2009 I hate the lows but, really hate the highs can’t win I swear but I just found your channel so far I love it think you so much
Love this! So true. My grown daughter has 2 kids I told her to show them this video. Let them know she's not the only one who has these things happen! Thank you again love this!!!
💯 accurate. It’s really nice to know that we all go through the same thing. These videos crack me right up. I rarely go out these days and figures today the one day I have an appointment I woke up with high blood sugar 🙄 thank you bent cannula 🤦🏻♀️. Thanks for the giggles - my mom and I look forward to the videos 😁✌🏻🇨🇦.
Aaaaaahhhhhhhahahahahah. Sooooooo true. These are some of the funniest things ever. I won't be able to think of my blood sugars the same way ever again now lol. This is some high quality stuff.
Thanks Levi! You always know exactly how to make us all laugh about this dreaded Auto immune disease! I could watch your videos all day. I would love to see you dressed up as your SO, you and Blood sugar during an "intimate " moment! 🤣🤭 Happens to me every damn time! Or when I mow the grass, which I am getting ready to do here soon. Any time I am active or just about to do something, my Dexcom low alert goes off. I hate it but I LOVE it! Idk how people did this before the great technical we have today! I love my Dexcom G6!
@@BetweenTwoLines you're welcome! Yes it does. It take me 10 times longer to mow it than my husband. Then add in my OCD, and having to mow it diagonally instead of how he does it haha!
Went to hospital for tests today. Could NOT eat or drink anything after midnight. BS, when going to sleep was 140. Woke up at 4:30 AM and blood sugar was 305. Took insulin via bolus from pump. Blood sugar CONTINUED to rise and checked Dexcom just before the tests, BS was still over 300 (autonomic tests, nothing stressful) TOOK more insulin. Finally when tests were done BS was starting to drop. Ate breakfast sandwich and oj, took CORRECT amount of insulin NOW I had to STOP pump for an hour because NOW BS is DROPPING. I HATE THE DARN BLOOD SUGAR PERSON!!!!
I don't know if you've done it but could you possibly share what you eat in a day and how often you exercise. I have been T1 for almost 6yrs now and I still struggle with balance. My BS is mostly high and I can never get it down. Obs eating wrong.
Thanks for the question Kat. That is a tough question that requires a lot of information to answer. Could be any number of things giving you trouble: the food you eat, the amount of insulin you give, glycemic index, your insulin ratios, etc. I would definitely recommend a conversation with your endo. With that said, eat lower carb or increase your insulin! Your job is to get it in range and make the necessary adjustments to achieve that. It’s a lot of work to get everything dialed in but it’s a necessary process. You’ve got this. Here is a good motto to consider: “You can’t improve what you don’t measure.” Start documenting and recording your results and you will see trends that you can focus on. Good luck!
Excersice on a pump and cgm is the most infuriating thing. Got one just before spring hit and was pumped to go out into the mountains again. Nope I even think about going on a walk down the street I go low. Have tried intentionally leaving it high, but control IQ will give a correction. Ok turn in excersice mode before breakfast so it leaves it higher. Nope still not working. Ok turn off control IQ and set a 0 temp basal rate the entire time we are walking. That seemed to work, but the alarms saying not getting insulin was really annoying. Haven't tried since as both diabetics had to get surgery now that they are open again and slowly recovering at different rates. Thqt has been a fun new challenge. At least it kept me.good the whole time I was under

I've been living with Type 1 diabetes for 50 years. My husband says in another 50 years I may just get it right.
That is pretty stinking funny
The end was so true
No doubt about it!

Between Two Lines that’s what I’ve been trying. The hard part is knowing how much less insulin to take to run the right amount of high.

Omg yes. Stresses, exercise, even sitting still. Always something.
ALWAYS!

I agree. There are times I miss the ignorance of not knowing..but of course we are much better off with the information both in short and long term
Was the Taylor Swift part a joke too 😂 I actually like her !!😊
Oh there is plenty of t-swift played at our house 😂 just said that teasing our daughter.
Walking my dog the other day. Hard crash my dog came out of service dog retirement to get me home!
