Can’t wait for traveling there next week. Your videos are a good introduction of Colombia for me, as I planned to do more or least the same trip than you with locals. Enjoy you trip ! Greetings from France
@@JordanandEmily I will spend 3 weeks in Colombia. As you showed us in your videos, I think I will discover a completely different world compare to Europe or North America and I’m very excited about experiencing this culture and nature. Still 4 days of work and go!! How long will you stay in Colombia for now?
@@florian59420 we've actually left and are now on Ecuador! But we are releasing a big Colombia travel guide video on Saturday that you might find useful! 😀
Beautiful countryside with so much to see. I loved the hummingbirds, they’re just so cute and amazing little birds. How lucky you were to see a toucan, how special is that. So glad you got the drone Jordan, I just loved the views you get from it. Good work you two. Miss you both, love you, mum.xx ❤️❤️
Hi Jordan and Emily, wow, what a fantastic video of your hike in in the Cocora Valley in Colombia. I think the way you went was best as the difficult part was at the beginning when you were fresh and the end was more relaxed. It is good that the horse you met by the bridge decided to cross in the stream and not attempt the bridge. The cows were a treat to see and they seemed to enjoy some human company. The Toucan footage, although little blurry, was awesome just to see it and it's beautiful Purple Beak and colorful body. Awesome that you got the drone footage in the Wax Palms and that you got some Sunshine to enjoy them instead of the rain. In Jordan and Emily style it's nice that you ended with the calm German Shepard footage. It's funny you mentioned Sammy and Tommy as their same video hike came recommended after seeing yours.
😄 so many cool animals! We've been doing a lot of hikes lately and some of the animals are crazy!! Definitely worth watching Sammy and Tommy's too, they're fantastic!
Have you ever done a Q &A, like what's your back story? How'd you meet? Save money? Jobs? Puppy? Home base in Austrailia? Do you have room to buy souveniors? etc. Life goals?
LOVED this hike, so pretty and challenging! At least y’all didn’t do it in rain boots like us HA 😭 It was definitely more gradual starting with the palms. Super love all the drone shots 💞
I'm so jealous! My back injury really makes things like this a hard thing for me to do/try an attempt. I'm going to live through you guys with this one!! So much green, loved it 😊😊
we never heard about these trees before but it looks super cool🤩also surprised by the number of animals you met along the way! thanks for taking us with you to the jungle 💛
Hey guys! Liked your video! I am going to Valle de Cocora next week and wanted to know how muddy it really was?? I read that in parts of the trail you have to walk through really thick mud...is that true? What month have you been there? Greetings from Germany 😊
Hey there! Yes and no haha it really depends on the rainfall! We were there in June and didn't have any problems but can see one or two places (in the first third of the hike if you do it in the same direction as us) that could get verrryyy muddy!
@@JordanandEmily Thanks for the quick reply! I hate walking through deep mud so I need to think if I want to "risk it" and take the long hike or better only the short one where you can see the palm trees and then do another hike in the afternoon (like Santa Rita La Cascada - did you guys do that one too?) :-)
It took us around 5 hours! it's not obvious when you on the trail but at the beginning you can tell which way is clockwise! - Best to pack lots of water haha
Hi guys ,just came across your video and as a result will be going there in 2 weeks. As a fellow Aussie your presentation came in clear and precise .I`m a new subscriber. Just one question is ,your drone footage is insane. Do you have some advise regarding drone registration in Colombia. I just can`t seem to find the correct place and in english. I do hope you can pass on some info.
Hi there! The rules around South America change all the time for drones unfortunately. We didn't need to register in Amy country at all because we've got the smaller dji mini mavic 2 which weighs less that 250grams! I think any more than that and you'll need to register in a few places like Peru. From memory Colombia was pretty easy going with their rules!
You are both always providing us with great videos to watch and enjoy, thank you
Thanks Justin 🥰🥰
Appreciated the up close footage of the Hummingbirds. I never saw their tongues so clear, so that was interesting to see.
Me either! And their little heads move in and out as they ‘drink’ or whatever the proper term is
Was so amazing to see up close
Excellent drone shots!
Jordan will be so happy to hear this 🥰
Great tour! Did that one 5 yrs.ago.
It's such a nice hike! ☺️

I did the end first and it too was challenging. I’ll come back again. Salento is a kind and relaxing town too. I slept good every night.
Agreed! Sleep so well after the hiking days!

Nice view
Really was something!! 😍
stunning scenery! keen to see Machu Picchu

Awesome video and lovely hike.
Could you please tell us what month of the year was this?☺️
Thank you! we were in Colombia in May!
You guys didn’t say how long it took you. Also, is it obvious which direction is anti clockwise from the signs? Any packing tips

so many great places to soo in Colombia!!
Would you like to puppy sit in Southern California?
Absolutely! If the travel winds ever take us there 😄
Good video but so much focus and talk on your choice of direction. Our way, their way, right or wrong..who cares.. just enjoy the ride..
Next time!
