Even though I have no plans currently to travel I found this video summarising everything very satisfying to watch. I love the idea of the map. It makes it so much easier to travel.
Loved every single one of your videos. You are superstars. You deserve millions of subscribers. Thanks for showing so amazing places from my country. All the best!
Venezuelan came to be Colombian here. Also a subscriber. I found your videos looking for Villa de Leyva which is a place I hope to visit soon. Wonderful videos guys, keep going.
Couldn't thank you guys enough for this video! Heading to Colombia next week with little to no plan and this really helped to give some direction on what to do and how to prepare. Will be checking out the other videos in this series to help us out further!
Hi Jordan and Emily, after seeing all of your videos about your South America travels it was interesting seeing this Travel tips and destinations video. The 2 of you work so well together as a team. Looking forward to your next video of your expenses for spending 6 weeks traveling around Colombia.
Thank you Jordan and Em. I am currently sitting at the airport watching this video waiting for my flight to Medellin. I took a lot away from this video and will do my best to visit the places you regret missing out on. Safe travels.
Thank you for what you’re doing! I think your videos are well done… outstanding!! I found you for Colombia videos and now a subscriber… can’t wait to see more of your work! Best wishes and much success to you!
what a great video! another tip - I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc in Colombia - using apps like ATM Fee Saver - it helps find atms abroad with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc. worth adding to your list of tricks!
Thank you guys, That was a helpful, relaxed and genuine travel vlog. I liked how you added places that you wished you went to as well. I will head to Colombia in April, after a couple of months work in Antarctica. cheers
Hi guys, just catching up on your Colombia adventures and they've been so helpful in planning my own trip for next year. Keep making amazing videos and I'm sure your channel will soon get the views it deserves! 🙏🏻😎
11 months late, but here I am. I'm from Bogotá, and let me tell you, the best way to acclimate to the height and climate here is soup, ajiaco or sanchoco being the preferred options but any soup makes the trick. Don't know how or why it works, but it does.
Thanks for the great tips guys, I’m definitely going to use some on my next trip to Cartagena on Wednesday. Just started my channel recently and hope to grow it with quality content like yours
Congratulations on scratching the surface of this beautiful Country. You should go to Leticia / Amazonia on the next trip as well as Caño Cristales. It looks like you were in the wrong neighborhood in Cali but it is a lively place to go in December for La Fiesta de Cali! It’s an experience like no other! Please do go to Bogota as it is filled with history and lots of culture. Also, we are not so keen on promoting Escobar or any tours that glorify that murderer’s existence. Looking forward to following you on your next adventure. Cheers and happy travels!! ❤
How do you keep your gear safe when traveling to/through different countries? How to you keep yourself discreet when trying to capture whats around you?
Gooood question, we don't go to any uncomfortable places at night and typically stay away from dodgy looking places. But honestly, I think we've got a bit lucky over the year because I've heard of others who are cautious and still get unlucky 😞 we talk about it in our Colombia travel guide video!
Another spot worth mentioning worth visiting that's not on the list here: Manizales, great chance to do an inexpensive trek to over 15,000ft elevation in stunning scenery.
Heads up about Palamino. It is a very safe and secure area, but going there has made me very aware of the dark side of tourism. The area is rumored to be controlled by the paramilitary, which is the reason why all the businesses close promptly at 11 pm. Additionally, it is an avenue that is overrun with businesses not owned by the locals. If you are interested in sustainable tourism, I would recommend omitting this town.
Good videos, & good info. Thanks. There are more nice places in Colombia that are worthy to visit like San Andres and Providence Islands, Boyaca, Sierra Nevada Cocuy, Letizia Amazons, Eastern Plains, etc. Take care guys.
Great video! I’m Colombian and haven’t been to half of these places, but I know someday I’ll visit them all. I would recommend visiting the Colombian island San Andrés - my family told me it’s absolutely beautiful.
Hey guys, Thanks for brilliantly breaking down your trip. I'm curious why you traveled using the bus(overnights) rather than the Flights(which I heard are very cheap compared with USD/CAD)? really appreciate the insights.
Yeah they can be cheap but one of the cheaper airline went out of business recently and we were flying super short notice, so busses worked out lots cheaper for us!
Hi! Very nice and interesting video! I see a lot of drone footage in your video, did you have any problems with that? Is it permitted to fly your drone without a lincense and did you registrate your drone? I'm asking because I will soon travel to Colombia and I'm still in doubt whether I bring my drone with me or not. Thank you in advance :)
Thank you! Our drone is under the 250 gram mark and we had no trouble flying it without and registrations 😀 this was a over a year ago, though, so things might have changed!
@@JordanandEmily Which areas did you fly yours in? Are there restricted areas? I recently bought a drone and bout to launch it somewhere. I'm in Bogotá now.
Hi! We booked almost all buses online through busbud or other websites! You can book at the station for slightly less money but you run the risk of it being full
Hi! Omg thank you for this extensive video. Very very helpful. I’m going to solo backpack (for the first time) this October/November for about a month. I just CANT CANT CANT decide between Colombia or Vietnam. Both look lovely. Both have their pro’s and con’s. Is there any way you could assist me between making a choice between the two countries? I really want to book tickets this week and stop wondering 🥲
That is super tough haha, we loved both. Usually when people ask us some of our favourite places Vietnam is always on the list! That being said, you really can't go wrong with either one! Both affordable, both diverse, both gorgeous, both easy to navigate by bus or train. Maybe pick which country has the biggest highlight! Like would you want to cruise ha long bay or the cartagena coast! Good luck haha its a tough decision!
Hi there! I've just checked the links in the description and comment section. it should work now! If not, i've also listed it in our buymeacoffee shop for free too! Hope it works!

It is a shame that while in Barichara they did not take the opportunity to visit more places in the department of Santander. They could have stayed in the city of Bucaramanga and visited the Chicamocha National Park (PANACHI), the Cerro del Santísimo Ecopark, the municipality of Girón declared a national monument, the Mesa de los Santos, the Páramo de Santurban or the little town with the silk climate (Zapatoca)
you stayed in El Centro? Other travelers.... Dont stay there. lol I have been a traveler in Medellin and I have lived here for 12 years. Don't stay downtown :)
I have called Cali, Colombia my home since 2003 ( while doing work overseas and for several years traveling back and forth) and havent ever been robbed or gotten a single drop of Burundanga. Medellin is wayyyyyyyyy more dangerous now with the amount of first time idiot travelers walking around with bling bling or staring into their phones. Where there is honey.....there are bees. I have been all around the country and even just walked through most of the dangerous barrios in Cali/Bogota/Medellin. Even walked around Comuna 13 in 2004 before all of the glitz and glamour. Cali is only Dangerous if you put yourself into trouble with folks or just walk around with your head stuck up yer a**.

Shame on you folks! promoting Pablo Escobar's tour. That's awful and too ignorant from your side when Colombia and the Medellin area have many beautiful things to do and to know. Obviously, you did not learn anything from our incredible Colombian culture.

Any tips for a cheap or refundable trip out of Colombia, for the onward ticket? (I’m not actually gonna do the trip, but to show sth at the airport)
There are sites you can pick up an onward ticket for about $10! It let's you get all the evidence you need and then cancels itself!
