The video says street food but there’s literally no street food shown. Show us some chuzos, chinchurria, barriga, orejas, arepa de queso, maduro con queso, so many fruits and juices too from actual street vendors. Medellin is full of great street food, get out and adventure!
Nahhh but the real streat food is like Lina said; I get a chunchurria for example is not for everyone, it definitively isn't for me xD but that is the real experiencie of the street food of Medellín. Another street food I would recommend is churros, obleas, solteritas... and if it's from an old lady, the better!!! Always support the locals, not the big chains.
Lots and lots of yummy looking food. Lucky you did share your meals. I’m still not sold on the hot chocolate with cheese though, still really weird to me. Miss you both, love you, mum.xx 💕
Hi Jordan and Emily, looks like you both were in a food coma after all those different dishes and drinks. The Hot Chocolate with melted cheese inside seems so unusual. Whatever cheese they put inside it is sure stringy. Missed seeing any dogs on this video. It is funny that the waiter noticed your picture of your pup as a Screensaver.
wild that you went to mondonogs for the bandeja paisa but went to hatoviejo for recalentado . which is basically el menu del dia for breakfast and could have gotten it anywhere for 10000cop
Nice video! I don’t know why i found this video and as a Paisa I need to comment: you essentially ate 3 times the same thing: Bandeja Paisa is the base for the Cazuela and the Calentado, that’s why the 3 of them have beens. Powdered meat is ment to be just like it was served, it’s just meant to be mixed with all the other ingredients. It’s a shame you didn’t try good buñuelos but it is definitely not sweet.
Nice video; I'll be in Medellín in December. If you ever want to try the best bandeja paisa in Colombia, go to La Gloria de Gloria in Medellín. Their bandeja paisa will easily feed three people!
The “like sand”, dry ground meat at Mondongos is a sign of a bad-quality restaurant, good ground meat on a bandeja paisa is supposed to be juicy, fresh and in bigger chunks (not sandy as the one they served you). The chocolate con queso, yum, I’d have a big baguette or some colombian bread to spread the cheese onto!
There are much better places in Medellin to eat great traditional food "Bunuelo is not a donut" we usually eat it with coffee or hot chocolate (any time)
Ok ...good video .... All of get it wrong ... Bandeja paisa ...you do not eat it one item at a time ....that wrong ... You mixed it...for instance ..chicharron together with the beans ... Or perhapps the powder meat with rice and beans mixed together .. Or perhaps ..chorizo mixed with ateoacand beans ... The secret is to mix it with all different ingridients ...mix it all ... By the way...the egg should be as soft as possible ...so when you mix it with rice and beans the juice from the yellow part of the egg runs into the other ingredients.. Mix it up.....that iscthe secret.. And you will never want to have anything else...
WELCOME TO MEDELLIN 🎉On March 17, TIME magazine included Medellin among the 50 best destinations in the world in 2023. And in January THE NEW YORK TIMES also included Medellin among the 50 best destinations in the world in 2023. ❤ Medellin is the #1 city in quality of life in Colombia, it has already surpassed Cartagena in international tourists, also Medellin is an intelligent tourist destination and is a special district of science, technology and innovation.
Sorry, but Colombian food is crap. If you don't get sick of tasting the same three bland flavors every time you eat out somewhere it's tolerable, but usually you're just eating cheap empanadas or rice, beans, fries and unseasoned meat. Anything outside of that is usually a bad rip off of some kind of foreign dish or some inane gimmick like "flavorless pizza in a cone" or "flavorless arepas with our signature flavorless sauce." It's no good. I just cook at home because I, with almost zero culinary experience, can at least make things that that taste like something more than sand. I love Colombians, but I'm pretty sure they're unaware that there are other condiments besides salt and mayo. Maybe it's different if you go to fancy restaurants and things? I don't know. I'm a poor backpacker so I don't do that. I just know that most places I've been have at least halfway decent street food and local diners.
@@JordanandEmily For Colombian Food Maybe "El Trifasico", "La Antigua" or "Versalles", The last two are just in the downtown. But I recommend to visit some Villages but Prefer Mom's or Grandma's Magic!. But I invite u to taste our hot dogs, burguers and more they are too different. "Pandebonos", "Pandeyuca" , "Almohabanas" are another kind of delicous bread instead of "Buñuelos". Ur welcome.
Ive lived in Medellin for 2 years now and believe me what you two ate is not a good representation of street food . To be honest Colombian street food is SHIT . Much netter off with Venezualan . Next time you do a report please do proper research.

We'll have ti next time! I think we definitely need a local guide though 😄 it's so big!
In Colombia we call street food to any meal taken out of home 😂

It was super weird with all the cheese!! 😄 but yummy.
Don't worry about the lack of dogs and animals there's LOTS on the way haha 😆

Good to know! thanks!
The paisa tray was missing the blood sausage and chorizo.
😢 Next time!

Ooohhh I wish we knew that when we were there 😄 the one we had was... dissapointing 😞
And its easily 55000 peso..at gloria no plata.. instead of 15.000 elsewhere.
As always I'm feeling very hungry after your food video! Note to emoji makers - make an emoji out of Jordan's face after that casserole dish 😃
hahahah yes!
I always get so hungry even editing them 🤣
I love my city medellin, and yes definately we eat well thank god.

Damn! We wish it came with instructions 😄
What are the must eat foods of Australia?????????????? for yankee tourists?
Hahahaha thats a great question. Can't go wrong with a bunnings snag!
Which is literally a bbq sausage and bread from a hardware store 😄

This makes so much sense! We didn't think it would be like that on purpose haha 😆
The majority if restaurantes serve meat in Pandeja paisa that way sadly. It is really hard to find an actual good one.
You should give it a try to costeña food ( colombian caribbean) to know what is actual colombian flavors
Next time! ❤️
Hey cool building, I😊 recently stayed there #aianaverde
The one with holes in the walls? 🤣 Was a lovely building just wish the walls were shut haha
😄 they are very different

You went to the worst restaurant to eat Tipico: Mondongo`s
😄 that must be why the food was so bad. But the restaurant was soooo busy! Why was everyone there if it's meant to be the worst!? 🤣
@@JordanandEmily because they got the best Mondongos, thats another awesome tipical dish you must try!
