- Twin Cities favorite Robyne Robinson hosts a look at Broadway's "The Scarlet Pimpernel" on tour, featuring interviews with Douglas Sills, Amy Bodnar, William Paul Michals, Frank Wildhorn, and Nan Knighton.
On a related note, if you are a fan of "The Scarlet Pimpernel," check out my superhero novel "Hero," featuring a high school production of the Frank Wildhorn/Nan Knighton musical. For more information, visit www.coltonsilver.com.
I was lucky enough to see this show several times at the Minskoff on Broadway. The cast was sooo friendly and got to know us a bit at the stage door. This was when you could get tickets for 30 bucks to see a show and Frank Wildhorn had 3 shows on Broadway at the same time including Jekyll & Hyde and Civil War. All three shows were incredible!
*sigh* Oh, the Scarlet Pimpernel. Getting to see these amazing characters come alive onstage will probably be one of those unfulfilled longings of my life...
Lincoln Centre is doing it in Feb 2019
@@DanielYoureAStarCon im three years too late *heart broken*
I saw this production 3 times: Twice in San Francisco and once in L.A. ❤️
The commercials 😆👏🏼 love it!
Got to see this on Broadway in New York twice back then. It was my favorite play!
This is great! thank you so much for uploading.
You know, Michael, this is a really great question. One of these days, I'll find it and post it. Sorry I don't have it now (and I'm not even sure why I don't, but I recorded these clips from VHS to DVD quite a while ago).
Hint hint. We're still out here... Enquiring minds would love to see Part 2! Thanks for posting Part 1. Even part is better than nothing!
PLEASE i need part 2
Please!
Part 2 would still be much obliged!
Would still love it! Thank you for posting this first part!
I love this! What year did this interview or special take place?
Where's Part 2?
William Paul Michels is my favourite Chauvelin ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥲
I wish recordings of his performance, let alone the full musical, were available! William truly portrayed Chauvelin so eloquently and intensely and I wish his versions of the songs were accessible too
Thank you kindly for sharing this Part 1 of The Scarlet Pimpernel, hoping for the second part!
He was sexy as hell in that role. Definitely made you understand what drew Marguerite to him.
Is this playing ANYWHERE?!?!?!
