Tony Yazbeck, Laura Osnes, and More Offer a Peek at The Scarlet Pimpernel

- Manhattan Concert Productions' next event will be a concert performance of the Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn-Nan Knighton musical The Scarlet Pimpernel, and they've rounded up quite the cast for it: Tony Yazbeck (On the Town), Laura Osnes (Bandstand), Norm Lewis (Les Misérables), and Corey Cott (Newsies) are all set to star, among many others. Recently, the cast offered the press a preview of what to expect at the performance on Monday, February 18, at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall. Check out some of the highlights above.

For me Tony Yasbeck is the new Tommy Rall both a tenor and a dancer and Laura Osnes as was Jane Powell she is both a soprano and a dancer.They should have made the La Land movie .Norm Lewus is a talented baritone

Every time someone says they want to use something from Jekyll and Hyde for an audition, I suggest something from this instead.

It was/is. I got to see it on Broadway in ‘98 with Douglas Sills, Rachel York and Rex Smith. It’s a fantastic show!!

Also, The Scarlet Pimpernel is a fabulous and fun story! Has adventure; and drama in it. Percy is a hero to those who face the guillotine; but also a prim and proper aristocrat married to a french actress; he keeps his identity a secret from his wife, and such; You should read it. I love it
Lauren Faerber that sounds fun! I didn’t know Alex Newell was a guy until I looked him up on wiki and I saw the costume design notes for Once On This Island saying “Alex is a man but we knew he’d be great for Asaka” I was shocked too!! Crazy tenor range

I adore this show and honestly the ensemble was the best part... super disappointed, very boring and sterile compared to the original. HOWEVER, I will be on the look out for more videos and my opinion may change with time.
Vyktorya King they have like a 100 person chorus that will be at the show. They just have a 2 day rehearsal before hand. My friend is in the chorus
He is not Douglas Sills. Nobody else can play Sir Percival Blakeney
I love me some Tony but he just can't pull off the last note of Into Fire like Douglas could. Not even close.
Christa Berit I’ve been saying he’s not my Percy. He’s singing with an English accent so major props for that but...he’s missing the mark for me. Also I’m still not sure who he is. I’d never heard of him before and I’ve been a theatre fan for MANY years.
He's primarily a dancer.
