Thanks Aaron! Great review I agree the newer blue looks better IMO. Still no keyboard keys for adjusting the keyboard brightness?
Thanks for sharing. Blessings on your day.
Great review! I have the newest 15" M2 Air 16GB RAM. I love it!
Great video. Love your content. Keep it up 😊
great review top !!!! :) i like so much your test for heat and thermal
Fine video, Aaron! Always the most detailed reviews at your channel. Keep it up.
Thank you so very much for your content I really appreciate it ❤😊 I have a very old mb air 2015 I guess I have to stick with it until I can figure out how to get me mb pro 14
Great review, as always. Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Isn't the AV1 decoder standard on all versions of the M3, binned or otherwise??
Nice one I have the intel model from 2017 and I like it a lot, my first MacBook ever!
Best review so far on the MacBook Air M3.
Is it recommended to buy? I haven’t buy any macs, planning to buy when i go to university few months in the future for coding major especially in cyber security section, let me know if it is a good value
I have the intel version 2019 with 16 gb and 512 and debating between the pro 14 or the 15 inch Mac! 💻
The Midnight color is 🔥
Keep up the great work. I appreciate that you took the time to set up chapters in this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed your review. Well done and very professional!
Thank you kindly!
Damm you achieve 1 million subscribers.the last time i watch your video was a 200k subs now it's 1 million damm congratulations brother.🎉
Great video!
Thanks for the weight and temperature conversions also to Celsius!👍
Hi , Make a comparison video of M1 , M2 and M3 . Also suggest if one should buy M1 MacBook Air in 2024 . Usage is normal office work and browsing. Thank you
Amazing unboxing. Maybe you should do a comparison of the M1, the M2 and the latest M3 versions.
Not sure if that’s needed theirs honestly not much difference between the 3 apart from slightly better power efficiency on the newer chipsets.
Watching this on my 15 inch m3 air ! Love this review!!!
New MacBook is so cool
Great review! Just waiting on my M3 15" to arrive in the mail today 😁
Nice Upgrade or first time Mac user?
The day they launch Face ID as a feature on the Mac, will be the day I buy my first Mac.
Be careful with it, I just broke my M2 and had it repaired with house insurance. They don't cope well with drops. 😂 Lucky it was free.
@@RinzSach my M1 Air has survived a good few drops with some scares to paint a story. Macs have always been notoriously well made with good quality. Maybe u just got unlucky.
@@johndan42 At least it was free and I’ve checked the repair was done perfectly, the air is surprisingly easy to repair unlike the pros where you need to swap IC chips for it work properly. I’ve checked my true tone and it works too. I think repairing the screen you need to keep the Lid the same for it to work and my engineer did exactly that. I fell asleep with it on the bed and woke up with it fallen on the floor. Now il make sure to keep it on the side of the bed closest to the wall. 😂
Love your effort and the thumbnail is great
Could you do a comparison between the M3 Air and the last made Intel Air for those that are very close to pulling the trigger on an upgrade?
Those with an intel based MacBook Air is definitely a great upgrade. I would hold off if u currently have an M2 MacBook Air
Thank you for showing the temps in Celsius for us outside the US
Very nice Macbook. I have the M2 MacBook Air so no plans to update.
Same here
Love the m1 will keep it for another few years
I'm getting the 13" version (with 24/1TB), specifically for world travel, since it's more portable than the 15". If I weren't traveling, I'd get the15".
good review'''
Hey Aaron 👋🏻
Huge fan of your UA-cam channel, you’re the best! 🙌🏻😊
I’m in a dilemma, MacBook Air M3 15inch OR iMac 2023 24inch.
In the iMac video you mentioned that pwm isn’t an issue.
Does this new MacBook Air have pwm? 🤔
And is 8GB unified memory enough for studying/ppt/excel etc?
Or should I choose 16gb?
No, its not an issue on either
@@zollotech thank you soo much 🙌🏻😀 could please let me know about the unified memory 🙏🏻 I don’t know what to do
@@abhignapm It depends on two factors; your usage and your budget.
Great that dual monitor support was brought to the MacBook Air and will be coming to the base m3 macbook pro. I understand the software limitations of not being able to run two monitors and the built in display at the same time, but why must the lid be closed? I own an apple vision pro and when I use mac virtual display it blacks out my screen but I can keep using the trackpad and keyboard. Why not do the same thing for the m3 air and pro? Black out the laptop screen if connected to two external monitors but don't require the lid to be closed. That way people can still use the keyboard and trackpad and don't need to get an external keyboard and mouse. Seems like an easy software change.
Midnight Blue is a smudge and dust magnet, go for the other versions instead.
yeah but also looks the coolest
I would love to have a MacBook. Just can’t bring myself to spending that kind of money on it. Love your content. Thank you for all the hard work.
I thought that too until I got my 2020 M1in 2021, and it still runs like it did the day I got it.
It takes a big hit on the balance but for the everyday, it's been a solid purchase all in all.
I mean if you really want it and can finds to acquire one then its worth it imo for browsing, school and light processing work loads. Mainly because of how light it is, how long it lasts, and how much support it will receive. It will certainly still be a labtop that can work great 5-7 years down the line. There are many ways to get 0% interest on this labtop
I’m. Considering upgrading to the m3 MacBook Air the basic and trade in my mid 2019 MacBook Air
This was the best unboxing video of this new M3 MBA13.
Awesome
I am still using my M2 13-inch MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar in 2024! I like the old school look and I don't really use FaceTime for the most part. I was sort of bummed out when I discovered the lack of third party apps using the Touch Bar! I have some regrets not getting the M2 MacBook Air, but I wasn't a fan of the notch display, etc.
Looks very neat
Can't WAIT to upgrade my Macbook Air from 2015 to the M3 Macbook Air in May! It'll be a graduation gift to myself after all my hard work. My Macbook from 2015 has got me through college the last 6 years with no issues! It ran great! But, unfortunately it's time to let go to bigger and greater 💪🏼
definitely gonna keep my M2 Air for at least another refresh. Can't see the point in upgrading when all I'll get is a little bit of a spec bump.
These macs literally last a good 6/7 years anyone upgrading now either has too much money or they are tech reviewers.
The thumbnail says it all… 🔥🔥🔥
lol
I’m thinking of upgrading from 2017 base MacBook Pro and I think it will be a good move right?
Why do you want to upgrade?
@@BobbiPhantom battery’s not good anymore and it lags on UA-cam and safari and it gets hot
awesome
I am a graduate student and most of the time I do tons of papers, worksheets, extensive research and some video or audio visual presentations (using Final Cut pro) and photo editing. Which RAM should I get, 16 or 24 GB? with your recommended RAM, I am hoping that the M3 MacBook Air won’t overheat or throttle with the work that I do.
Nice video
I planned on picking the M3 15 inch air up with top configuration but they had an offer on the 14 inch M3 MacBook Air which made it only £100 more than the 15 inch M3. So I bought myself the 14 inch MacBook Pro M3 today.
The fact that it still starts at 256 gb it's outrageous...
I’m still trying to decide whether to upgrade my iPad or to get the MacBook Air. Right now I have an HP 13” laptop but I’m slowly switching to the Apple ecosystem.
Just got the MacBook Air M3 13 inch and I love it
you do the developement?
I’m curious is the hottest point usually around the fans or the air that is being pushed through the pipes?
I think we need a tear down one day!
There are no fans in it
@@zollotech Yeah I know I realized that, then it must be heat from the logic board
what inch is this 13.6 or 13.3
what was the jump back at 05:10?
Please unbox the samsung book 4 ultra 🙏
Is this worth the upgrade over the M2 MacBook Air 512GB (the version of the Air with dual NAND, instead of the single NAND of the 256GB version)? The battery on the M2 is fantastic and easily surpasses 20 hours on general use, with the 18 hours specified by Apple for the M3 seems like a downgrade, are they compensating for increased chipset energy use?
I’d go in a whim that they’re just playing it safe with the battery time and that it’s more or less the same. So not worth it. I use an M1 Air and still don’t personally see a reason to upgrade apart from support for a 2nd external monitor in clamshell.
Battery life depends on what apps you use. If just watching video then M2=M3 in battery life, but if you are running gaming apps, the extra GPU and CPU (15% each) would mean more power used, with >FPS.
I'm going to buy an MacBook Air M3 but I don't know if i should pick 13 or 15 inch 🤔
Cool watch chain. What the design called?
It’s the titanium band from Nomad
You made it sound like you only get AV1 decoding if you have the 10 core GPU. Could you clarify that, as Apple's website states otherwise...?
It’s part of m3 in general
So, the Magic Keyboard is not consistent between the three models?
The M1 model does not have the same keyboard as the M2 or M3. However, with the newer design, M2 and M3 are the same.
@@zollotech Which one is most like the iPad Magic Keyboard? That is my point of refrence.
At this point, Apple charging $1099 for 8GB RAM and 256GB (slow) Storage should be considered a felony.
It's actually the fast storage as it was in the M1 on the M3! :)
the slowed down issue has been fixed with m3 but 8+256 is still such a shameless move
I have a M2 Air with 8/256 and I don't notice the slower SSD speed by comparing to my old M1 Air with the same specs since 1 year...
No way, just don't buy it and get the 16gb version.
@@RobbieOfSweden❤ LP
Do you think it is the right thing to replace the MacBook Pro m2 with this model?
Depends, if you plan on doing lots of editing and stuff, than yes.
I got air m2 in jan,hopefully m3 is not a major upgrade i missed.
Can you disable the ugly background blur from using the webcam?
how come i received a 30watt charger with it????
I am just confused between the Air M3 and the Pro M3 as after we spec out the air with good storage and memory, it’s almost same priced as the pro M3…. and I also need a laptop for years to come atleast 6 to 7 years minimum.
Waiting for the specs on the 2024 iPad Pros. My 2010 MacBook Pro died recently when I had it sitting idling by while doing my taxes on my 1st Gen iPad Pro. I had wondered if Safari on iPad would work successfully and thankfully it did. So, don’t think we really need MacOS on anything as my wife and I use iPads for Affinity Designer and Canva.
Were you given this computer by Apple? Love your videos!!!
No, I bought this myself
Will you keep it? Or give to daughter? lol@@zollotech
What do you with all these laptops?
Keep them
For me i waiting the iPad Pro
could you please tell what is your strap for ultra wacth

Awesome review ZolloTech. I feel like it should be standard 512 or 1tb for storage…. It’s such a shame we pay a lot for their products and the storages they start is so low…. I hope Apple starts to make better changes physically and internally. I was hoping maybe the island from the iPhone to the MacBook maybe more cool features. Some people might get it for the latest and greatest but most conservative people should stick to the M1 or maybe even M2. My M1 still works awesome and the battery on it runs for many hours almost 10-11 hours. ❤
Remember, the MB Air price for 512GB/16GB is comparable to similar premium Windows laptops like the XPS and Galaxy Book4 Pro (around £1600). If you spec the MB Air 13-inch to that, it comes to £1500, arguably better value. Apple then offers a £400 cheaper model for those who cannot afford £1500. Neither Dell nor Samsung offer Core Ultra 7 below £1600. So Apple is more consumer-friendly, offering a cheaper version of the MB Air and should be praised for that. I think people do not understand that if Apple had a base 16GB/512GB they would price that in line with rivals, around £1500.
People must ignore the base model if they need help understanding demand-side economics.
"Waiting for my MacBook Air M3 15 next week."❤😊🎉
Amazing review as always ! It's a shame that they still shipping the MacBook Air with a 60hz display, otherwise it would be a great all-round laptop
Apple's business model is to charge more for extra features like 120Hz and miniLED. The MB Pro 14 with a similar configuration costs about £200-400 extra.
You are absolutely right but at what cost? If you go for the MBP with a 120hz display you have to sacrifice weight, thickness and a smaller display size. I would pay those extra bucks to have this feature (that is a standard nowadays) on a lightweight laptop like the MBA. @@andyH_England
I just ordered this today M3, 16gb ram and 512 storage. Time to upgrade from my 2017 pro it's starting to get sluggish and shutdown randomly. Had a good run though. Looking forward to seeing the new M chips in action especially coming from Intel.
That’s gonna be such an amazing upgrade from Intel
@@zollotech I can’t wait 😃
will also update from the 2017 pro to the new 2024 MBA M3, 24GB RAM and 1TB storage
When is going to be the Apple event
It looks like there’s not going to be an Apple event now
I think the next event will be on June for unveiling new iOS and macOS. Until then no event.
I upgraded from an 13.6" M2 MBA to a 15" M3 MBA because my use cases benefit from the larger display - which wasn't an option when I bought the M2 MBA.
That's one reason why someone with an M2 MBA might upgrade to the M3 version.
Another is dual external display support. If that would benefit your workflow, it's a good reason to update to M3.
Lastly, if you want to buy a computer that will be useable for as many years as possible, the M3 version will be useable for a year longer. Maybe that's worth buying the M3 version over a discounted M2 version.
But for most people, the M2 MBA will feel exactly as fast as the M3 MBA and is the smarter buy right now, given that you can save a few hundred by getting an M2 MBA at clearance prices from Amazon, Best Buy, etc.
Thanks for another great video!
Yes, reviewers need to remember that. Some people bought the 13-inch M2 and then saw the M2 15-inch release. They wanted that but waited for the M3 15-inch. He did mention it right at the end which was good.
They seem to be rather popular judging my the delivery dates. I ordered my M3 13" this morning and the delivery window is 20-29th of March. I guess a lot of people were really waiting for the M3 to arrive in the Airs.
The MB Air is the best-selling laptop in the world, so at launch, I would expect delays. Should get back to normal in 3-4 weeks.
Im engineering student. I got msi computer which works fine, getting slower also i need lighter pc.So i ordered 13 inch 16 ram 512 gb. I hope it meets my needs also I hope it wont speak in library as msi.
I have an old MacBook Pro , I mean really old (2011) and it’s time for an upgrade. I am really torn between this and a 14” pro M3. Both at 16gb ram. I don’t know if the 400 dollar difference for the pro is worth it on the long run
You’ve been using your MacBook Pro for 13 years-how could it not be worth it…
@@soude85 you're correct regarding that. But back then the Macbook Air was not a thing so I didnt have a choice. Now there is so much more choice and I was wondering if the air could also do the job.
Great video. I don’t know why people are against the Silver colour though. It’s classic, and no fingerprint problems.
Just recently bought a macbook air 15 inch m3 with 16gb ram and 512gb storage. It's my first Mac, and I love it. Still adjusting to using the operating system, though
You used WIN before? am thinking about purchasing one, but this would be my first time using Mac
@TheDataArchitect Yeah, I used windows before. Honestly, the adjustment hasn't been as hard as I was expecting. It just takes a little getting used to. I am really enjoying the mac experience and have zero complaints. I have been using it for music production and my experience has been really smooth so far.
@@charlottecasey Storage is enough? 512GB :D
@TheDataArchitect For me, it is more than enough storage. I store a lot of stuff on the cloud anyway. But there are options up to 2TB.
@@charlottecasey Yes the options are visible on the purchase page, I think i should go with the MBA too 16gb and 1TB.
Do you process the vides on the machine? any issues or lag due to heavy load? No fans?
wouldve been nice to see you actually test the wifi 6e speed
thats very subjective as it wont make much of a difference depending on the internet speeds you have. I have 1Gbps and wifi 6 and 6e will be fairly close.
Great video but I think you showed the MacBook Pro M1 not the MacBook Air M1 😅
Is 256gb/8ram ssd still slower ?
No!
They are pound for pound a great all round laptop & I do think Apple should start with 12GB minimum as I feel 8GB is not man enough. I think the (new) M3 MacBook Air is at a great price
Kinda bothered by the RAM options....8-16-24 seems odd to me since I'm used to seeing 8-16-32 for years.
i would definitely buy the m3 15" air but it doesn't have mini led or promotion which is a downgrade
planning on upgrading from a 2020 macbook air intel i3 8GB/256SSD to a MacBook air m3 24GB/512SSD
That will be a huge upgrade
@@zollotechfor sure! super excited
24GB RAM might be overkill for the Air, if I had the option I would go for the Pro model instead at the price point.
@@darthraider450yea only reason why i’m still going for the air is since i like how sleek it is and im gonna trade in my current 2020 air so it’ll be about 1200 or so with the upgrades
@@jajuangarcia7048not sure if you can actually run anything that would use 24gb ram on an air without it throttling I’m with the other guy I don’t think that’s worth it. Maybe just get 16gb
Apples started to change their pricing and offering the upgrade of two more GPU cores for free( not charging 100 more) when you upgrade the ram to 16 or SSD to 512gb. Great apple is pricing them more affordably.
Through my eyes, unless you're coming from an older Intel MacBook Air, or even an M1, there's no need to jump from an M2 to an M3 MacBook Air.
The M2 is $100 at $999 like the older M1 was.
I think the M2 is a better value than the M3 is, and unless you need two displays, get an M2 for $100 less.
I have a base 8GB M2 13 inch in silver, and I've been happy with it.
Thanks for the video, Aaron, as always.
Only if you want a 15-inch version, as there was no 15-inch version when the M2 MB Air was released.
Need a smaller laptop just like the macbook 2015
You have used all apple products. Tell me which apple laptop is best to buy right now.
It should be value for money
I cannot decide plz help.
The 14 inch MacBook Pro is probably the best value.

Is it just me, but are the read/write speeds ridiculously low? 3000Mbps 😂. Did Apple use a Gen3 NVMe??? My 3 year old PC has 7000Mbps. In 2024, you should expect Gen5 for a minimum 10,000Mbps read/write speeds.
For the air they don’t use the super fast ssd memory like they do in the pro model
What the hell is everyone supposed to do with the stickers? I always see the stickers everywhere and I never see what people do with them.
I can’t believe a complete computer starts at a lower price then an iPhone 😬
