      If you remove the two screws, it won't hold the handle in place. So you can unscrew the screws every time you need to remove the handle but then you have to put them back when you want to use the handle. This mod will allow you to just use the clips and easily remove the handle to fit the box in the back of your truck. Typically, people that have a truck cover can't fit it with the handle. Hope that helps.

    I get it now. The handle already has holes in it in the spot where he is putting the clips. Idk why that hole is already there, but it is. So the clips keep the handle from sliding out when you are using the handle. Took me a while to figure that out then I noticed a hole in that spot when I looked really closely at the handles.
    Edit: Upon further inspection, when he says lift up the handle he only means the sliding part. He does drill through the handle but not the sliding part. This all makes sense now.

Instead take out the screws, remove handle, put a screw in permanently where the screws came out of. Now when you put the handle back in it will sit on those screws. Then you can do what you did and never worry about having to align the holes.

    I'm the biggest Milwaukee fan there is...and of course it takes a 'Dewalt' owner (brain trust) to try and start thinking.
    #1- First thing he needs to do is remember he owns a truck and pull back his bed cover (unless he is embarrassed around his 'Dewalt' clan to ride around with superior Milwaukee products 😮)
    #2- He is proving that he is a contradiction of everything...he is using Dewalt machines on Milwaukee products, he has time to film going to Ace Hardware to get product (clips) but not enough to clearly state how the telescoping handle works so that when raised all the way up, you would only be drilling through the plastic of the box and only one layer of the square tubing bottom of the handle, and that the clips are to replace the screws altogether, and now you can remove the handle completely to fit packout base under bed cover, while placing clips onto back of case, so as to keep them with the case.
    NOW HOW HARD WAS THAT CHUMP.
    Buy the right drill!

    I sincerely do not understand how this works, what was the purpose of drilling the holes or buying the clips? I am so confused

    • @ChekeredFreak

      Removing the screws means the rear panel is no longer being held to the box. So adding the holes and clips keeps it on there. As others have stated, there are other methods which would work without drilling holes.

    Just undo the time cover save money or just pull the screws out in general

    The screws hold the handle in place. Now instead of removing the screws to remove the handle every time all he has to do is remove the clips. Its basically a tooless way to take the handle off and on.

    But when he goes to work and puts in the handle won’t he need to put those screws back in so the handle doesn’t get yanked out??

    Does this not work with the packout v2? It won’t latch and keep the handle in place, the metal part isn’t long enough

  • @dennissmith8620
    @dennissmith8620 Рік тому

    ok if you stop the video as soon as the handle clears the box you can see a hole where the clip goes... so I guess you use the clips when you install the handle to keep from pulling out the handle. I think my wording is more confusing than the video.
