    I used wide velcro. No drilling no leaks

      I was going to say use some double sided tape to keep the profile low. Also Velcro or tape would keep the packout reusable and hole free!

      The only problem with this idea is if you live in an area where it gets really hot, the glue on the back of the velcro gets greasy won't stick very well. Better to dab a little bit of silicone on the screw. Too bad Milwaukee didn't add locking clip tabs to the bit case so they just snap or slid lock into place like the pack out boxes do.

      Just got some Milwaukee packout for the 1st time. Was looking at modifications and decided I might give it a go. Then saw your comment and thought that's even better! Thanks CaptMike!

    I also used hook and loop, but it is tough to pull out the case because of that.

    Why would anyone drill through the case like that instead of just using some heavy duty 3m double sided tape?

    • @toolboxtransformer9735

      thank for this idea but i try it before, when you leave yours packout in your truck for the first winter yes it's okay but the next following summer the heat start to react with the extreme heat and the tape let go, (i have been in the plastic industrial industry for 20 years , and with all the experience there is nothing will bound to PP (polypropylene) it will stick for a period of time but not bound)

    Po co wiercić otwoty w skrzynce skoro można było użyć taśmy dwustronnej.

    • @toolboxtransformer9735
      @toolboxtransformer9735  2 роки тому +1

      dzięki za komentarz, tutaj w Kanadzie mamy dużą różnicę temperatur, taśma dwustronna będzie działać, ale nie na długo, ponieważ gdy plastik PP ostygnie, taśma dwustronna nie przyklei się i tak samo w letnie upały w samochodzie roboczym, ( i próbuję dużo taśmy, nawet taśma Gorilla nie działa) thanks for your comment, here in Canada we have big temperature difference, double-sided tape will work but not for long, because when PP plastic get cold the double sided tape will come not stick and same for summer heat in a work van, (and i try a lot of tapes even Gorilla tape doesn't work)

    • @toolboxtransformer9735
      @toolboxtransformer9735  3 роки тому +4

      thanks for your comment, packout are made with polymer plastic call PP or Polypropylene, so this said there is no glue, resin or solvent will bond to this plastic, it will stick for couple of days, months but at soon you will have a deflection or weather change to shrink or expend the packout the glue will peel off ( i am a plastic welder by trade) if you need more plastic info!!! (i will be doing an other video about this topic, how to fix a packout and is it worth it? ) i used double side tape velcro in the passed it work okay until i put the packout in my truck the summer extreme heat kind of melt the glue in the packout and when winter hit the double sided tape shrink and all the boxes get loose in the packout

    I Guess I'm lost here how do you take a Box that does not have a threaded screw built in it, And Magically build up one you need to pass on the Magic tric Seriously I bought a Milwaukee Set absolutely 0" No threaded Nut was built into it Anywhere Please show a little more of HOW!!! A B & C fit together.. or pass on how you can aquire a Milwaukee mini box that has Nut built into it..🙎‍♂️
    I'm adding i wanted to know more so I did some Digging on what I purchased (Kit # 48-32-4023) and here's what I gathered up either Milwaukee doesn't want ones screwing with there mini boxes and they intended them not to be mounted in packout's so went the mounting bump where a Nut can be placed or they got feel up there Skirts and said lets remove that big pimple that lies in our box and you the consumer can find another way to mount it..
    Guess can only Hope there's a New Way to mount the Box with there Design changes maybe sticky puddy😆

      thanks for your comment, if you do not have any built in nut just drill a hole in that same area and do like the video at 2;19 using 1/4 x 20 x5/8 panhead bolt 2 washers an 1/4 nut, i will be posting an other video of an other bit cases packout design in April 2021 using some case with out nuts built in
