@Doug Neuman It does not hold ice for long periods of time, especially in direct sunlight. I bought one of those insulated cooling bags and tossed it in. Fits decently and works better. Best part is how easy it is to clean afterwards. Something I forgot is the handles don't fit in most car trunks. Needs to be removed, they have mods online for it. Hope this helps 👍
I noticed there are also two holes near the bottom center of the lid on mine, and then noticed the round indentation on the smaller toolbox also has 2 mounting holes the same diameter, and after a little digging realized they’re for the One-Key tracking tags. So Milwaukee may not have directly addressed the mounting holes to avoid publicizing a security feature.
I bought the Kaizen handle removal kit years ago. Your snap rings would have been much cheaper & easier. I also bought their feet kit to retro fit onto my M18 6 battery charger to put it onto my lid. Now they make a packout charger. I did not know about the recessed areas fitting my bits boxes. Learning has occurred! Thank you, sir, for your video.
Great video and sense of humor. Now I can quit trying to find a solution to those pesky bit kits. Now I know why there is not a lifetime warranty on the packout boxes - potential fire hazard if not treated with due respect! Come January I will order the rolling box and transfer my track saw from the XL box it came to the new addition. The foam insert with the track saw is an abomination. By the time spring rolls around I should have it all sorted out and get some work done around here. Thanks again for the video!
I have the m12 Fuel bandsaw and I took a waffer screw and 2 pieces of metal and made latches to hold a pack of bandsaw blades right where he put the impact bits case.
Hmm. I may use my rolling bin as a combo bulky tool storage (circ saws, sawzall etc) and charging box with receptacles. That way I don't need to whine that it lacks a front door, like its $$$ updated version (next year) will have.
Man! More like, Joe The Sas Master, today! “Sir, reporting high levels of SAS! Should I deploy, ‘The Foot’?!?” Awesome vid. Lots of great info w/ a healthy side of snark.
because he forgot to show where he took off the original screws that hold the packout handle on, he skipped over that part. once you remove those 2 black screws at the bottom the handle would wanna pull out all the time so that’s when you attach the rings to said holes to now stop the handle from being to pull out which in turn makes your handle removable when ever you want
I really didn’t expect to learn much from this video, but that was really cool! Running to grab one of my Shockwave bit sets to throw in the rolling toolbox now LMAO! I have been trying to figure out what the hell that metal ring on the back of the box is for. You know, the one that looks like a trapezoidal D ring? It can be moved up and down. It definitely has a purpose, does anyone know what its for??
@@Joethetoolguy very true, but do you see how it flips up or down? And the black anchor points look like they’re made to come out? That’s definitely an intentional design, probably does something very useful but they dont say ANYTHING about it lol.
How do y'all not know it's literally an anchor point for bungee cords to like strap stuff on top of the lid when you carry it it's not pack out compatible. Like say if you have a regular cooler on there you can literally put the bungee cords on the front bar at the bottom that you are also able to use as a foot brake and then run them to the handle or over the cooler itself all the way to the back of it to keep it strapped down to the top of the box. I say that I don't understand how y'all don't do that but I have to remember I am a massive Fanboy and I keep up with all the videos that Milwaukee releases themselves and that was one of the things that they covered I didn't know about the shockwave bits at all that was mind-blowing and also the charger I did not even know they were hold there I knew about the sensor invention so you could mount a tick Bluetooth tracker in there because I have one in almost all of my boxes that have tools in them. But that one's an easy figure since it's the exact same shape as a tick and exact same size as the tick and even with the tick in the box you can barely even see it because it blends in perfectly with its background. So anyways but yeah it's literally for bungee cords or straps of any kind that way you have a strap hook on the front and a strap hook on the back. If you have one of the compact full size organizers with the handle that does not fold down you can actually mount some L brackets that's what I use on mine anyways and you can take your ladder for example I use my 5 foot Werner paint ladder flipped it upside down had it sitting flush against the packout stack and put those L brackets there so it hooks on the support bracket on the back of the ladder when it's folded up upside down that way it doesn't accidentally open up on me but it will also sit perfectly flush to get my pack out while on that and it has zero wiggle room so even if I didn't have a strap on it to hold it to it it would still do just fine on most occasions but I still put two little small bungees to it and hook them to that front hook on the front
But have no fear they have a whole massive amount of new pack out stuff that is going to be used for your shop coming out soon and I mean a massive amount of things pack out cabinets pack out paper towel holders new pack out wall mounting brackets that you can hang your tools from, shelves and more etc etc.
2:46 "I could care less" means that you care. What you meant to say is "I could not care less". If you don't care it's impossible for you to care less. I don't know when or where or why people started telling people they care when trying to tell people they don't care, but it's funny every time anyway.
If you use the proper screws it will not fat off . We use a 2 header screw call a Ma dees fastener screw . Spelling is wrong but they work great . I hang my chargers on everything
I know it doesn't really relate to this video, but I believe the Milwaukee buy more save more hack at HD has been patched. I tried ordering 3 eligible tools for a total of 507. I had the unwanted tools shipped to home, and the tool I did want, ship to store. When trying to cancel the ship to home tools, The site wouldn't separate items. it was cancel all or none. Anyone know if i did something wrong?
I can honestly get twice the tools in the cheap Dewalt version because of all the space wasting contour inside this box. It’s practically impossible to organize tools in this thing without just piling them in.
In general, had some good tips; the telescoping handle has better mods for removing though that’s out there. Only thing really didn’t “get” (1st time on channel) was all fart/poop memes; that kinda deturd from actual vid, imo. Regardless, NICE👍🏻👍🏻 Cheers✌🏻
Dewalt tool handle ergonomics makes me switch. M12 are my favorite but I need to let them go because of the handle thickness. I just use my friend’s 12v impact makita for few hours and much better ergonomics.

When the Milwaukee case spit the yellow tool out, I had an epiphany! I just realized that orange tools are the baby of red and yellow tools, right? THAT'S WHY it's a bad idea to mix tools from different brands in the same box! Think people, think.
I'm a cheap @$$. I swore up and down i would never spend the money to buy even a tool bag much less milwaukees packout. I don’t understand what the clips do in the newly drilled holes?
glad they fixed the handle problem
what are the little metal hooks for on the front and back of the packout?
I was wondering why my brand new Dewalt drills stop working. This video has my answer 😂

There are aftermarket ways to have the removable without drilling holes into the side and using snap rings. Just replace the screws
I'm probably bring thick but we why do you need to drill holes and attach rings to the bottom of the handle shafts to get the handle to come out?
It makes the handle easier to remove and put back in later.
because he forgot to show where he took off the original screws that hold the packout handle on, he skipped over that part. once you remove those 2 black screws at the bottom the handle would wanna pull out all the time so that’s when you attach the rings to said holes to now stop the handle from being to pull out which in turn makes your handle removable when ever you want
