    You're absolutely right... I used to use bar soap on my face and now I'm unable to reverse my beautiful skin which was once amazing 😭

    Thank you for this! If only more people talked about the acid mantle and PH of cleansers!

    I am so happy i came across your Channel... right now there are so short videos on UA-cam and Instagram saying to use this use that and that bunch of products damaged my skin... your videos made me slow down and calm and make myself feel good about skin healing journey...thank you for existing and creating these videos for us.

      I really appreciate that! Those short skincare vids really stress me out... I'm working on my own short ones to combat the misinformation but the sheer volume of it is overwhelming. So it means a lot when someone gives my content a shot and sees that you don't need that much to support and protect your skin! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

    I just discover your channel and already love it...keep on sharing your beautifull mind :)
    And About the cleanser.. I wonder..What about antibacterial cleanser?E.g tea tree oil cleanser? Like, the body soap tea tree face cleanser. It claims that the antibacterial in it helps curing acne..

    Hi olena, I'm new to your channel. Do wee need to cleanse our skin with micellar water before using a face soap even we only stay at home during the day, like during this quarantine ?

    Is it only the pH of our cleanser thats important? What about moisturizers, toners, essential oils etc.

    • @OlenaBeley
      @OlenaBeley  5 років тому +2

      Ooh that's an interesting question.
      Toners and serums containing acids really need to be the right PH for the acids to work well, but the PH can't be too low otherwise that can cause irritation. The PH dance.
      I don't know about the PH of moisturizers (that's something I've not thought much about) and of essential oils, but essential oils are cytotoxic (cause living cell death) and often a TON of irritation since they are just fragrance. I would avoid all essential oils in your skincare since there are far more effective ingredients than them! :)
      Hope that helps!
      Love,
      Olena

    Hi, Olena! What do you think about honey as a cleanser? I would love to know your opinion. ❤

    • @OlenaBeley
      @OlenaBeley  5 років тому +2

      Hi there! Honey is not a cleanser whatsoever...It will just spread the existing things on your skin around and potentially leave a film on your skin...So I REALLY don't recommend it on the skin for any reason!
      Love,
      Olena

      @@OlenaBeley Thank you for your reply! ❤❤ I was actually using honey as a cleanser( in the last three months) and it seemed to work, but since you do not recommend it, i will reconsider this method. Sorry if my grammar is bad, i am not a nativ english speaker. :)

    I'm so confused. Then why people swear by dr. Bronner's castile soap if it's ph level is 8?

    • @OlenaBeley

      Great question! I have no idea why...since it would make their skin worse and worse over time 🙈רותם חברוני

      Because Castile soap is a disinfectant and has antibacterial properties
