Thank you, Dr. DiNezza, for this eye opening serie!
My experience: I did a lactulose breath test when I was pretty good and it brought me back months backward. It took me at least 6 months to recover. I don't want to do any breath test anymore. The test was positive for a distal SIBO. It wasn't a revelation for me as I felt that the issue was located in that area (Around the caecum)
Being diagnosed with SIBO has allowed me to explain my condition. This term sounds more serious and medical because IBS and constipation sound like "It's not a big deal. You overdo it. You need to calm down..."
I don't care about the name of the condition, what I want is to have as much variety in my diet as possible and to be able to eat without having a tummy ache or bloating, to have a regular and easy transit and to have lots of energy, a well-functioning brain and a good mood. To be well in short.

My doctor gave me antibiotics even though my test was negative because my symptoms were so strong for belching and bloating. Unfortunately it did not help and doctor is exploring other solutions… good luck everyone

These videos are SO helpful. Truly appreciate your work on bringing this to light especially with all the misinformation being pushed in sibo groups. This gave me so much hope in knowing my negative glucose breath test is valid despite my symptoms. I’ll be looking at low stomach acid next.
Can you plz delve into how to diagnose sifo or Candida overgrowth?

Do you know the cause of cholestasis and what to do to cure it? My stomach acid is good but I do have a cholestasis (Even though I eat enough fat) and consequently I feel my body and stool are too acidic.

Definitely the best content on youtube. SIBO patients, forget the angsty, incoherent, dogmatic talk and dead ends in the SIBO space and trust Dr. DiNezza (and her awesome sidekick Amy Hollenkamp)! And then, while you're at it, forget about "SIBO" and talk about SIBD 😉
Thank you so much, Dear Dr. DiNezza. Best regards from France

In a previous video, you had commented that the three probiotics that have been studied to help people’s gut are Lactobacillis, Bifidobacteroum and Acrimanzia. I can’t find a probiotic with all 3. Can you PLEASE recommend a brand? Thank you so much❤

What are your thoughts on "feeding" the bacteria/Archaea during treatment of IMO? Also, I will be using rifaximin and allicin. Should I continue the allicin after the two weeks of rifaximin? I'm so sorry this is off topic but having so much trouble finding these answers and hoped you would see this as you just posted the video! Thank you, you have been so valuable to me through my sibo struggles!!

Dr Nizza if at some point you run out of topics consider making a vid on how high fat/ protein diet can cause sibo🙏

      It can’t. That’s a false statement.

@@Ruktiet You'll change your mind soon enough. Actually you can easly verify that there are bacteria that feed on fats and protein. Hydrogen sulfide sibo is exactly what those bacteria feeds of. Bacteria can shift in to degrade meats, fats. But if you don't invest a few minutes to research that and you come hear just to spreaed carnivore diet gospel I won't argue with you. At the end of the day you do whatever you want.Peace

Many people have gotten rid of sibo via the carnivore diet….

Do you do videos about lectins, histamines, hypoglycemia? I have hypoglycemia and I'm not sure if I have insulin resistance or hyperinsulinism. I've had something wrong all my life and I'm 58 years old and my doctors haven't been much help.

Seems like the best option is something like the GI-MAP. Hey if motility activator has no effect after 5 days of 1 cap 2x daily would you increase to 2 caps 2x daily?

So how do you accurately test for SIBO?

Is it my imagination, or are gastroenterologists becoming more holistic? I went to one today, and she was talking about the brain-gut connection, herbs and microbiome reset 🤷🏿‍♂️

Glucose isn’t accurate. It misdiagnosed me as not having sibo when I did
