Thanks for the comparison video. Yaesu makes great radios (I currently own three of them) but the lack of CHIRP programming software support is almost a deal breaker for me. Yaesu should stop paying to develop their proprietary Windows software and instead have their programmer contribute to the CHIRP project so all of their radios can be easily programmed using any computer with any operating system. For the last nine months, I've been putting off the error prone and tedious four hours of hand to hand combat with the front panel to program the memories in my FTM-100DR. I can use CHIRP to program any cheap Baofeng in a couple of minutes, painlessly and error free.
$410, lol I wish! FTM-400dxr set me back $569. And no they havent added a mic jack to the faceplate. kinda weird actually. With the base under my seat, seems a bit of a wonky setup.
Next time, for the sake of accuracy, use capital letters for the radio designators, e.g. FTM-7250D not "ftm-7250d". And mate, the wind tunnel air-flow cooling system is under the radio and has nothing to do with the fan, per sae. You should have turned the radio over so we could view the fins and the cooling tunnel. Not a bad review overall, mate!
Thanks for this video. I just got the 7250d, but I want all of them.
Just ordered the Yaesu 100DE can’t wait 🤤

Try RT systems, their programming software makes is easy.
@@59radio22 - The problem is, I don't have a Windows computer and don't want one. I shouldn't be forced to use Windows to play radio. :-)
I have the FTM-400, but I find myself wanting the FTM-7250. Maybe if I get another vehicle or something.
Are you going to do an update on the 300? I hear the 100 is discontinued now.
There is one.
