- In this video we are checking out the Yaesu FTM-400DR dual band analog and C4FM digital transceiver. Thanks to GigaParts for letting me check it out. This is probably one of the coolest digital transceivers on the market. Beautiful color touchscreen display, snap photos right from the optional camera mic, send and receive photos from this radio and store them on the microSD card. Built in GPS and APRS. This radio has it all. Watch this video to see all about it.

The most epic intro EVER!!
I have had my FT-M400 for a few years now and haven't had a bit of trouble with it. Packed full of features and super easy to operate.
You always put on a good show, the information you give is second to none.
Thanks. I've been eyeing this model for a while now.
Again you do great films on Radios, many thanks.
Just received my FT-400XDR yesterday from Gigaparts. The current plan is use it as a base and transfer it to my car sometime in the future. I purchased the RT Systems software with it. That made it extremely easy to program. The only negative so far is the length of the microphone cable as I intend to install the unit under the seat. A cable extension will solve that. I look forward to checking it out further over the next few days.
Thanks a bunch for your videos. I really like the way you show and explain things.
I've had mine for 2 or 3 years now. 👍. Another ham in our small rural town has of as well, the D model. We've recently performed the latest firmware update to make the units available to the WiresX C4FM via the internet and a pc on the desk. Very flexible.
Just a quick note. APRS will work on the B side and is recommended since only digital can be used on the A side.
Oh boy ive been waitin for this video :D LOVE your videos Eric
Glad to see you're a "balanced" ham, love the bencher in the video :)
Video was perfect, everything showed up perfect
That's a nice piece. I'd still like to build a radio clipboard with all control heads on the clipboard with every remote cables modified and cut to a 50 pin military cannon plug system to quickly hook up to multiple transceivers in 1.25 seconds. This could serve my functions.
this video is pure genius. intro is 100/10
This radio is easy to love. Proud to own one.
I have this in XD version and haven’t played with it much yet. Impulse buy lol. Thanks for video Eric
