How to get started on APRS - Step By Step Basics - FTM 400 XDR

APRS setting update: After further testing I found that you should not turn down the APRS band volume. Doing this will turn off voice alerts and notifications. You can enable the APRS mute setting to turn off the annoying transmission sounds.
Here is a how to video on the basics of APRS automatic packet reporting. shown on the Yaesu FTM 400 XDR. I go over callsigns, beacons, messaging and much more.
Also used aprs.fi maps from google to tract my location.
This was a very basic tutorial and I plan on making a more advanced video in the near future.

Good video! And thanks for telling in the description about Voice Alert rather than turning the volume down. Most seasoned APRS lovers (like me) use Voice Alert.
