Seven years ago trans am settled a suit with a former driver When he accused them of firing him improperly for abandonment, After he had called them because his bunk heater had stopped working, Is truck was broke down on the side of the road, and he was literally freezing in his truck.
Transam demanded he stay with the truck until it was safely towed.
They cared less about the driver's health and safety, And we're paranoid somehow in a blizzard. Someone was going to mess with their cargo.
They're one of the worst Anti-driver companies out there.
Trucking has been the same for the last 30 plus years. The pay is not keeping up with inflation. Companies refuse to pay drivers a good wage.Truckload carriers are the lowest paid driving job to have.
I think all companies are the same. Today is my first day with us Xpress I have been struggling with them for over 3 months , 3 different trainers the first one he had an accident then I waited for 20 days the second one he had an emergency and I waited 15 days the third one was okay and I finished and went back for the testing and another orientation , driving back and forth and then sent me from Georgia to Ohio to pick up the truck , I drove 623 miles with very bad weather after I arrived they didn’t let me in and the next day when I went to check out the truck someone urinate in it , I cussed them out and they got me another truck it was okay but I need to set it up so I’m stuck in Ohio to find me something towards home Florida I’m little nervous for my first load. I’ll give it a shot with this company. They just need to get organized they sent people all over just to pick up a truck..like you said the pay is sucks
Supply and demand. When u have abundant drivers, they get away with this because they know they can replace them quickly
Hey I have a question what kind questions do they ask when interviewing for a bus drivers? I have a class A cdl and I have never driven a bus 🚎 ? I appreciate what ever suggestion’s a you have😊
